Abbey Design Center did a kitchen remodel for my elderly mother. Jimmy Nazim and his team made this a painless experience for her. Justin was so helpful with picking finishes, even meeting us last minute at the granite warehouse with cabinet and floor samples to help my mother make a decision. Robert Richter and his crew continued the excellent service. Even though this was a small kitchen, they gave it the same quality care as a larger project. Jeovanny and Marco were always on time and worked diligently to complete the job in a timely manner. They left the site in a clean condition each day and did their best to minimize the mess. Any concerns were taken care of quickly and fully by Robert and his team. My mother is pleased with the quality of her new kitchen. There wasn't even a need for a punch list! Having just completed a nightmare bathroom remodel with another company, it was a joy to work with Abbey! I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Our experience with Abbey designing and renovating our master bathroom could not have been more positive. Zied is an excellent designer, familiar with a wide range of products. He was very open to modifying the plan to accommodate a couple ideas we had late in the design phase. Robert supervised the project and always made it clear he didn’t consider the project complete until we were entirely satisfied. No questions asked when we requested repainting some areas. And Relu is a skilled craftsman. He and his team did a beautiful installation job, especially the amazing tile work. We will definitely use Abbey again.

Robert Richter was the Program Manager for these two major renovations for my home. He did a superior job keeping the team focused and on schedule. Any problem or issue that arose he immediately took steps to resolve! He, and his team, were professional and thorough throughout these major projects! I was prepping my house to sell and the workmanship and attention to detail excelled expectations -- during the open house and subsequent buyer visits everyone wanted to know who did the renovations-- I proudly said Robert and his Abbey team!! Terriffic!!!! As promised from start to finish. I visited the Leesburg Showroom. There I met Chris. His knowledge of Hardwood (both construction and style) , I'm convinced , is the reason I picked the floor I did and what a beautiful end result!!! He allowed me to take as many samples home as I needed and keep as long as I needed. He was patient while I was in my throws of indecision and when I finally decided , he scheduled a time to come over and measure, showed up on time measured and then went over how the install would go and answered any questions I might have. Thank you Chris for your patience in getting me through my first hardwood floor purchase with very little stress in picking the perfect floor for my home. Then there was Nick. He is the go to guy for scheduling the installation. After I picked my floor, ordered it and it arrived Nick called to schedule the installation. He explained how the wood be delivered 3 days before actual installation to acclamate to my home and then the installation would take 3 days maybe 4 since there were stairs involved. We agreed on the dates and he sent me reminders the day before delivery of the wood and the installation with exact times of wood and installers arriving. When the install was finished Nick followed up with me to make sure all went well and to find out if I was satisfied or if there were issues he needed to be made aware of and correct. There were none. Thank you Nick for keeping in touch through the process to make sure everything was on track. Now for the installers. They were great! Showed up on time assisted with moving heavy furniture addressed any concerns I had with sub flooring and tried to repair squeaky areas where they could. They took special care when moving appliances back to their original place as not to scratch the new floor and did an exceptional job with the entire installation. They worked tirelessly to turn a possible 3 to 4 day job into 2 days. Thank you. I definitely would recommend Abbey Design for any one considering a floor remodel. They may not be the least expensive but worth every penny you will pay. One bit of info I would like to share with anyone thinking of doing stairs with white backs ( nosings) I did that and thought the backs came painted already. They do not. They come primed white and have a flat finish. If you want high gloss shine look this you will have to do your self. I must admit I have come to love the flat finish look of the stair backs with my wood tops. I chose a hickory hand scraped hardwood ( not engineered) in a saddle wood color so my floor has a more natural look rather than high shine. Thank you Abbey Design

A very professional and thorough discussion of design, cost, schedule, and expectations. Jimmy, Justin, and Joe's crew did not disappoint!!!! They were very attentive and exceptionally responsive throughout the kitchen renovation! Exceptional quality of work and far exceeded all expectations!! I'm already looking at a bathroom renovation and these guys will be my go to company for that one as well! Beyond a doubt they are at my top of the list for all home design and renovation needs! We have lived in Northern Virginia for more than thirty years and owned four houses. Over that period, we have hired a number of contractors ? some good and some not so much so. It is always such a dilemma when inviting someone unknown into your home (your most personal space) to complete work that you would like to have done, while the whole time wondering if you made the right choice. Abbey Design Center is, by far, the best firm we have worked with in the Northern Virginia area. We contracted with them to design and remodel our master bathroom. This was a major project that included removal of the soaker tub, relocation of the shower, installation of all new fixtures and tile on the floor and walls. When we signed the contract, they were scheduling the start of the project in September with three weeks as the projected project completion time. Then to our surprise, they called in August and had an unexpected opening to start. We were thrilled. We knew we made the right choice on the first day. When we returned home, everything was tidy and most of the demolition was completed. We were shocked at the care taken to remove everything, with no trash left behind on the property and no big tub taking up entirely too much room! It was very exciting to come home every day to see the changes and take pictures to share with our family and friends. Their workmanship was excellent and evident at every step, from the demolition to setting the tile. Many of the pluses: they finished a week early, we had the same foreman, Roberto, and his crew on the job every day (those were consecutive days), they cleaned up every day before leaving, and they took care of little unforeseen issues without complaining or asking for more money (we wanted an extra light installed that was not specifically discussed beforehand). Jimmy Nazemian and his team where very professional and a pleasure to work with on this project. Unlike experiences with other contractors, Jimmy was always available to answer questions and often initiated calls, emails, or texts to us when something occurred that he thought should be discussed. We will hire them again, and intend to do so in the spring for a small kitchen remodel (new tile and counters). When I decided to take on my first major home renovation – a new kitchen – I wanted to ensure that I did it right the first time. Having seen many renovation disaster shows on TV, but also being interested in home design myself, I also wanted to make the renovation as enjoyable as possible. When Jimmy presented the business model of Abbey Design Center to me, I knew this was the renovation company for me. The idea of having home renovation experts by my side taking care of all the details along the way sounded perfect. And it also sounded like the renovation timeline would minimize the inconvenience the renovation would have on my home and family. Jimmy, Justin and Joe were all great. They walked me through the renovation process, lending their expertise to help me make smart design choices and very thoughtfully answered all of my questions and concerns along the way. I changed my mind a few times about material choices and the team was always ready and willing to accommodate my change of direction with a smile. As the project is now nearing completion, I am amazed and excited to see the kitchen I had envisioned become a reality. My kitchen rivals those I’ve seen in the magazines that inspired me to do the renovation in the first place. It is simply beautiful and I am very happy. Thank you, Jimmy, Justin and Joe.

For the most part, the remodel experience was fine. We thought it took longer than expected. We did have to send one cabinet back because of a crack in it; however, Abbey resolved the issue with very little hassle. The kitchen remodel met all our expectations. The design process was fun and exciting. Abbey listened to our concerns and made the appropriate changes to the design. The installers were professional and respected our residence by cleaning up every night and moving their equipment out of the way. The one drawback is the installers did not come every day and trying to get a work schedule from them was nearly impossible.

After a number of years in our home we finally decided to build out our basement. We did not have the first idea how to proceed. Jimmy and the entire team at Abbey guided us every step of the way and today we have a truly updated state of an art basement with more space and much greater functionality. The entire process was very smooth and seemed to be done before we knew it. We had a short timeline but Team Abbey completed the job in time for us to host parties as well as a place for our children to host their friends in the comfort of their home. Abbey Floors recently installed stone tile in our foyer and hardwoods in the first floor of our home. From the moment we walked in to the showroom we felt welcomed by the staff. They gave us the privacy to look at Show Room at our own pace but were very responsive to our questions. I was having a hard time deciding on the selection of hardwood color. Zied graciously set up a time to come to our home. Zied brought three samples for the hardwood. He was patient, but offered suggestions when needed. I am so glade that we decided to go with Abbey. Great customer service. I like to describe the stone tile crew as artists. They meticulously placed the varied sized tile in a design that truly complimented our foyer space. Very patient with me when I asked to see a test area of the grout I had initially selected. I was not pleased with my selection and asked could we change before completing the job. I sent an email to Zied and Nick requesting the change. Both responded in such a timely manner. I was able to change grout and Zied even made another trip to our house to review the job. We have the second floor of our home to update and I will be coming to Abbey Floors to assist us in this job.

I was looking to build a basement bar and was getting estimates from several companies. I stumbled upon Abbey Design and worked with Jimmy. From the beginning, my experience working with both Abbey and Jimmy has been excellent. Jimmy was very professional, courteous and worked with me to make this project happen. After the supplies arrived, Abbey Design sent a team of workers to get the job done. These guys were very talented and got the job done with no issues at all. Very friendly and always cleaned up after they were done. The bar has turned out to be excellent and I've already received several compliments on it. I would work with Jimmy and Abbey Design without any hesitation. VERY SATISFIED!!!

Excellent. They were flexible on date, installed was very skilled as before, and it was easy to work with them. What you need to know is the time it takes to get the wood from Canada depends on when where next order comes down....I think they get a large shipment at a time. It is a good idea to order way ahead to be sure you have it when needed. ..time could be quick or several weeks. they will tell you. Last time it was close to a month, this time came soon.

Start date : March 16, 2015 End date : July 31, 2015 I started shopping for a kitchen designer in July 2014. We received a free kitchen consultation from Abbey. I was pleased with the materials and options presented from the Designer. I needed to push out the install closer to the New Year. I appreciated the no pressure follow-up calls to understand my status for the project. When Abbey had EoY incentives I decided to sign a contract for the project in January. We were looking forward to our dream kitchen! All materials (flooring, appliances, cabinets, counters) were ordered and we expected to start in March of 2015. I shopped online for knobs, pulls, fixtures, etc. I requested a pricing for Top Knobs and Kohler through Abbey since they are authorized dealers. I received an acknowledgement email on Feb 10 from the Design Assistant informing me that she would provide the pricing but, they had already received knobs and pulls in the warehouse for my project. The items were non-refundable. I replied, ?I didn?t order any knobs?. My Designer had mistakenly ordered the items. In short, there Dealer prices are high and there is a lack of attention to detail. I received a start date of March 16, 2015 from my Designer via email on Feb 12, 2015. I confirmed and emphasized the importance of any changes since we had to schedule with another installer for the floors and we also had travel plans. The Designer confirmed March 16 start date on Feb. 20th. WE followed up with the Designer on March 9 to make sure we were on schedule. The Designer confirmed the March 16 demolition and install start date on March 13 (3 DAYS BEFORE START). I locked in everything based on the confirmed start date. I received a call of the Designer on March 14th requesting they push my install back to the 20th. In short, they schedule on the fly. The dates are always moving and there is very little communication when changes need to occur. I demanded they meet the proposed schedule. The demolition started on March 16, 2015. The contract team was here for about 4 hours. Cabinet delivery and install set for March 23rd. The cabinets were installed. We identified some doors needed to be replaced as well as an entire cabinet had a support brace which specifically did not want. We requested a replacement. The cabinet and door order went in to Fieldstone and we expected delivery on May 10th. I refused to make a payment for the cabinet install since the job was incomplete. The billing company contacted me several times for payment. WE followed up with the Designer several time to understand status. My Designer confirmed the cabinet arrived and they would be able to finish my project on May 14th. The installer arrived with the new cabinet but, the Design never order replacement doors. Without the stability brace down the center of the cabinet face there was a ¾? gap between the doors. She was told the doors would fit and she failed to order the materials. She would order new doors from Fieldstone. We should expect them in 6-8 weeks. WE followed up with the Designer several times to understand status. I was able to use my kitchen from May 14th which was a huge relief. The kitchen was also very nice we just need to ?finish up?. I refused payment for the cabinet install since doors are part of the installation. The Accounting Dept. contacted me several times. We walked through and completed a punch list of items and we agreed about next steps. Part of my punch list included ¼ round molding that Abbey agreed to install. I understand nothing is 100% level and shims are used as needed. I certainly don?t expect to pay $38K for a kitchen install and see gaps around the flooring and exposed shims. Abbey contacted me later and said the molding is the responsibility of the flooring company and since they didn?t install the floor to contact them. I pushed back. Abbey committed to this in the punch list and furthermore, I don?t understand how this unfinished appearance would be acceptable to anyone especially considering the expense of approx. 35? of 1/4? molding. WE followed up with the Designer several time to understand status. Abbey finally replaced the molding with the matching Fieldstone 1/4" round. The molding is typically extra and not ordered to save cost according to the Designer. My Designer contacted me to inform me of a Leave of Absence. She identified the replacement contact. I requested the new Designer to come over and review project status. He came over on May 22nd and ordered the remaining items and punch list supplies (1/4? molding, island side panels (damaged from installation method), doors, trim. All minor stuff. I noticed we were tripping fuses which we have never experienced before so, I assume the new appliances were drawing additional load. I contacted my own licensed electrician to assist with a fuse problem on June 26, 2015. My contractor billed me $300 to redo the wiring completed by the Abbey installation crew. I understand my house is wired unusually but, it is compliant to County code. The Abbey installer inadvertently tied 2 fuses together causing a very dangerous condition. My Designer requested that Abbey have their Electrician review the completed work before accepting responsibility for my bill. WE followed up with the Designer several time to understand status. Finally, I just submitted the bill to Abbey as part of the punch list. I do not know if Abbey installer is a licensed electrician. I had 2 installers complete my entire job and no outside plumber or electrician ever came to my home. I started escalating on July 2nd. I sent emails to my Designer, President, Management, Accounting, etc. I never received any response with the exception of my Replacement Designer. The communication was horrendous. It became necessary for me to follow up every day for status updates, push timelines, and drive the project to completion. I received an email that everything would be completed on July 24th. The installer came late on the 24th and forgot the doors. I demanded someone bring the doors so they could complete the job. Abbey completed my job on July 24, 2015. I would not recommend Abbey Design. I am satisfied with the work and the kitchen looks great! I feel I paid a premium price and had to manage the Project myself. I didn?t expect it would be necessary to follow up constantly and request updates. The main problems I identified with Abbey is the poor communication and lack of attention to detail. Both are imperative in a kitchen remodel. If the Abbey Management invested in Project Managers and Administrative staff to assist the Designers and Installers it may be a different experience. PS This is the abbreviated version (there is more but I have run out of time).

For wooden flooring for 800 sq. ft. it was around $8500. They were all good. They were pretty professional. He was an older gentleman. He came to the house, measured everything and explained to us even the difference between hardwood and engineered wood. He was able to come to the house in a couple of days. Then, I got another estimate from a different guy. He was almost $2000 less. So, we went with the other one. I had to choose the other one just because of the cost. If I would have got the same price, I would have gone with Abbey.

Abbey Design Center, and Jimmy Nazem, Abbey's Senior Project Manager, did an outstanding job of remodeling our kitchen. Jimmy expertly guided us in selecting new cabinets, counters, countertops, backsplashes, flooring, and appliances to create exactly the look we wanted. Our wish list presented a couple of design problems, but Jimmy readily came up with creative solutions. We were particularly impressed that Jimmy updated us on every step of construction and made many trips to our place to inspect the on-going work. Throughout the whole process, Jimmy displayed the highest leved of knowledge, experience, and professionalism.

Kass Hamedi was OUTSTANDING as a provider and project manager. His staff was both extremely professional and true artisans. They created a real WOW experience for us.

Zied Hammami, our consultant at Abbey Design, translated what we liked in a variety of pictures into porcelain, tile, marble, fixtures, cabinets, lights and mirrors to create the perfect master bath for us. he knows what materials are available and has the vision to bring everything together. His design and selections addressed our criteria for both style and function. He identified a simple way to make our shower larger, adding two shower heads and a bench without knocking out walls. We could not have asked for a more skilled, artistically sensitive, diligent crew than the one we had. We give Abbey and Zied the highest ratings for this project.

The job went very well. The project manager was exceptional in evaluating the space and providing suggestions regarding materials and fixtures. He laid out a successful schedule and budget and helped identify areas that could make schedule or cost differences as well as selections that are contemporary and appropriate for my home. He introduced the project supervisor and construction team so I would know who to expect when. He made numerous site visits and kept me up to date on progress. There was only one change in plan, the elimination of a superfluous cabinet. That went well. The construction team arrived as scheduled each morning, laid the drop clothes and brought any materials needed from the garage to the bathroom work area. We had agreed in advance that certain materials and equipment should be left in the garage each night to facilitate start up in the morning. These were stored in an orderly manner. The team was cordial and diligent and they left the house picked up and clean each evening. The detail work with the tile is beautiful throughout. The plumbing and fixture installation appears to be functionally fine and beautifully installed. The electrical enhancements add functionally and beauty. The supervisor reviewed progress and materials and performance with me on a regular basis. I had the same team throughout the project except as specialists crews came in. One fabricated and installed the vanity surface, backsplash and sinks, another the frameless shower and a third the large mirror. The project manager came with each of the specialists to measure and later to install or inspect. He also worked with me and all the teams to adjust the final details to achieve the best results visually and functionally. I could not have asked for more.

Very happy with end result. Both tile and carpentry teams were responsive to customer input. Both teams took excellent care during the job. Cleaned up every day. Teams came as scheduled. Team foreman on site at all times at customer request. Glad we insisted on pulling permits and having inspections as new code changes needed to be addressed. Contractor was open to the customer doing part of the work. Customer acquired own cabinetry, and contractor was willing to install, if desired.

We had wood floors and carpet installed by Abbey Design and couldn't be happier. Our sales person, Kass, was very knowledgable and helpful and helping us make the right decisions. Our wood floor installer, Majeed, was truly remarkable. He clearly takes great pride in his work and it shows. We looked at other companies and without a doubt, we made a great choice. My husband and I are highly pleased with the quality workmanship of Abbey Designs! We now have a gorgeous, polished bathroom as well as complete repair of water damage caused by the shoddy workmanship of the previous (business unknown to us) shower installation. We were invited to view their work at every step, and asked whether we were satisfied. I recommend Abbey Designs to anyone searching for a trustworthy company with many, many design options, and experienced personnel (We had Jimmy as ours) who will sit down with you for as long as you need and guide you artistically as well, even if you come with only a vague notion of what you want. You will get honest, hard work from the workmen they appoint---I was amazed at how clean they left the surrounding areas every day when they left! You will NOT be disappointed! We are happy they were in our area!

I was very pleased with Abbey Design from start to finish. Zied was very helpful in helping choose what turned out to be a nice complimentary tile and Quartz. Communication throughout the process was excellent. I always received prompt responses to my emails and Abbey design was good about working around my schedule. The workmanship was excellent as well. The tile flooring was installed beautifully. In the process of removing the toilet in the powder room to put in the new floor the toilet lid broke. Abbey Design promptly replaced the toilet with a new one without any hassles. I definitely recommend Abbey Design

Abbey was wonderful from start to finish. Kass is a true pleasure to work with. The cost is a bit more, but you really sense the quality of the personnel, the material, and the experience. The crew was professional and prompt. They finished early, and did a terrific job. We are going back to use them again for carpet installation.
