Owner was away but sent cousin to assess problem. They accidentally forgot us in their busy schedule but when we called to inquire they apologized and sent someone to fix it immediately on the weekend.
Description of Work: Old sealant around roof vent had deteriorated causing water leak in master bedroom

When Dennis came over, I watched him climb up on the roof. He inspected the damaged areas and he showed me ( by flexing his boot against the rotten wood underneath ) that things were worse off than I thought. Down on the ground, Dennis explained to me what was wrong ( boards underneath some sections had gone bad, flushing was improperly done, needed vent was not installed by previous roofers ), and did so in a way that I understood what he was saying, even though I am not carpentry-inclined. Some time later, he returned with his crew and they got the whole job done in two days. New roof, new boards, new flushing, new boots, new vent- and on the quoted budget of thirty-six hundred dollars. Everyone on the crew was quite friendly, especially Dennis. They cleaned up when they were done, and I liked that he made his roofers wear a safety harness- a lot of less reputable roofers in the area do not do this. My one and only complaint is that it can be a bit hard to get ahold of Dennis. Sometimes it made me feel like he wasn't interested in the work, or that I'd be lost in the shuffle... but he's such a nice guy that I know it wasn't intentional. He's just very busy. If you do contract these guys, keep in mind that it will take them a little while to get back to you.
Description of Work: I thought I needed a few shingles replaced, some vent boots repaired, and a leak addressed.

Description of Work: Cleaned Flat Roof, Covered Roof with a primer, let this dry for 2 hours, Put on finish (epoxy substance) and let it dry for two days. All done but |replacing two short gutters.

Description of Work: Date and amt pd are estimates. Willfong put my original 20 year roof on 20+ years ago and it's still going strong! He came out and inspected the roof and repaired and cleaned out my gutters and downspouts. His workers did a fine job and were cooperative and friendly. They also put down asphalt (which they indicated they had extra of in the truck) around one downspout to keep it from seeping into my basement. They used WAY too much asphalt, however, and it looks rather bad. I did not recontact them to correct this, however, so I don't know if they would have. All in all, I am very satisfied with Willfong and definitely plan to call him again if my roof needs replacing or repair.

Description of Work: Older metal roof needed some repair and painting. The job was hastily completed in three days. The roof was power washed before painting, but the new paint was applied without proper sanding or prep. Paint chips from the old paint Joe were painted over, giving the roof a rough textured appearance. One small section of new metal, over a basement walkout, has paint chips from the roof above embedded in the new paint job. The crew that completed the job consisted of three workers. If they were paid 25 an hour, the total labor cost was 1800. Allowing for a generous 500 for materials plus 200 for gas/transportation, that leaves half of the 5000 bill unaccounted for. Even one extra day of sanding would have made a huge difference in the quality of the job.

Description of Work: Replaced large, steep house roof with thirty year shingles. Very quick only took four days. Took care of everything and it looks good. Just have to wait and see how well it holds up but so far so good.

retty good;Steve Wilfong is delightful and professional. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand. The crew was professional and had to work under some very challenging weather days- cold & windy on a hill top location. The folks started work promply and worked right on through each day. Between day clean-up was pretty good; end of job clean-up was excellent. Hope I don't need another roof while in this house, but if I need one somewhere else, these are the people I'll call. Price was very competitive and the job was scheduled very quickly after I signed the contract. I couldn't be happier with Wilfong Roofing!
