Description of Work: Replaced all 2-prong outlets and ungrounded wiring with 3-prong grounded service throughout the house, and also installed new outlets in kitchen, living room and bedrooms to meet code. They also re-routed service to existing breakers to decrease loads, and installed new breakers where necessary to meet service loads.

Mark and his crew were GREAT to work with. when mark first came to our house to give us a quote and see what we wanted done. During the walkthrough he identified some concerns with the requested work due to some issues with the construction of the house and not being able to know for certain about accessing places to run wires. He warned us that there might have to be a lot of holes cut to do the requested work but we told him that was ok and we would patch them ourselves. However, his crew was able to do all of the work in a *very* short time frame and only needed to cut two holes(!!). they even kept the removed drywall holes and screwed them back in which made the patching a breeze for us. The price I listed for the work also includes materials, with the exception of the ceiling fan. I highly recommend mark and his crew for any electrical work!
Description of Work: Grounded a few outlets, installed a ceiling fan and 3 recessed lights (where there were no existing overhead lights), added light switches to 4 ceiling fans (they did not have switches) - 2 switches each -> 1 for the fan and 1 for the light, added a switched outlet in a bedroom, removed a surface mounted box, relocated thermostat, put outlets we didn't have grounded onto a GFCI (it kind of acts as a ground), and added a double light switch to the stairwell light so we can turn it off and on from the bottom of the stairs as well as in the upstairs hallway.

Very pleasant to talk to and has experience. The work was done while I was at work. Upon arrival at home, there was almost no evidence that anyone had been there (no trash, footprints, or anything dirty). The install looks professional and I have had no issues with it.
Description of Work: Replaced electrical service panel in the basement (just replaced - not a service upgrade. I already had 220 Amp service.)

The biggest issue I had was talking with Dominion, who just could not get their arms around what we needed - Mark gave them a call and 2 days later, we were set. Most definitely, I will use him again. Class act, and VERY professional.
Description of Work: I needed a meter box reset on the house, and also needed Dominion to attach the weather guard from the pole to the house. Mark came out and set the box, and got Dominion to attach the weather guard the next day.

I have used Snead Electric previously on a small job. I called them along with two other electricians to get an estimate on the service upgrade, and his price was the best, and it included one extra detail. The work was done quickly, very neatly, and they clean up after themselves on every visit. When it came time to upgrade and remodel the kitchen, living room and dining room, I asked them to come look at it again, and Mark gave me a verbal estimate on the spot. They were in the midst of two larger jobs at the time, but said he would work me in when he could. I never lost a day of productivity on my job, as his crew was there when they needed to be. Jeremiah and Reese performed the work they were asked, but also made improvements and adjustments as needed. I could not have been more please with the work!!!! Even better .... they came in under the bid!
Description of Work: Change service from 100 amps to 200 amps Relocate Meter Base and add Disconnect Panel Wire new laundry room, remodeled kitchen, living room and dining room. Remove all existing two-wire supplies and replace with three-wire grounded circuits. Add recessed can lights to kitchen, butler's pantry and living room.

I live in those crazy old houses. My house was a 130 years old. We were trying to figure out how to deal with the electric was really difficult. It was like a puzzle. We need to have someone who was really smart, really good at what they do and Mark Snead was excellent. I had come back and forth so many times. My house was 4500 square feet of sold brick walls so he comes back and he would do a $1000.00 worth of work and then wait until I got some more money and then I have him come in and do something else. But whenever I have a project he was my electrician. I do not mess with other people because I have had other people and the messed that up so Mark's the man. I could find cheaper electrician and the problem was that the work was not right, at least not on my house. What I love about Mark was quality. So I rather pay a little bit more and really get my money's worth by going with Mark.
Description of Work: I used Snead Electric to do a lot of electrical work.
