Troy and Mark again did an excellent job. They were thorough and took extra time to make sure the job was done correctly. Their work continues to improve the overall value of my house.

Troy and his team are outstanding. Their quality is second to none. I observed not only how they constructed the foundational elements as well as the finish work and I can assure you, they do not take any shortcuts. Moreover they went out of their way to ensure the small things were included. One thing I appreciated immensely was during the design of the porch, they helped solution ideas that would be both structurally sound, but would also help the aesthetics of the project. I could not be more pleased with their work. You definitely get the quality and professional craftsmanship you pay for with Troy and Mark.

Troy and Mark did a great job in getting the old boards off the deck (without having to remove the existing railings) . They were always punctual. Troy was very knowledgeable about complex deck construction, and corrected several issues with the original deck structure that were not known to us. They completed the entire job within their estimated one-week time frame and within budget. When finished, they did an excellent job in cleaning the entire worksite. We would definitely use them again, and recommend them highly.

All went great! Removed old deck and built a new one slightly larger. Even showed up one snow day just to sweep the snow off the boards so they wouldn't lose another day.

We had Troy-Bilt do a complete gut and remodel of our master bathroom. This was extensive work that included tearing out the old shower and corner tub, reframing/moving the wall the old shower was in to create a linen closet, replace two vanities, create a large corner master shower, move plumbing for one vanity and shower, replace the toilet, install new medicine cabinets, and replace all lights and fixtures. Also, we removed the bath door and Troy-Bilt hung a sliding barn door. We purchased all the material, except for miscellaneous items, and Troy-Bilt worked with us to create the design and layout of the new bathroom. It all turned out excellent. We are very pleased. Price below includes only labor and miscellaneous material - the bulk of material was provided/purchased by us directly. Also, the price includes work and some extra material for the shower (tile work, some additional granite pieces to match vanity tops, and glass shower walls).

Very well. Troy was professional and did a high quality job. The entire basement looks beautiful and includes a full bath and bedroom. Troy also added a railing to the front of the house to extend to the bottom of a second set of stairs. It matches the existing railing perfectly. Everything was done in a timely fashion. I would definitely hire again.

I was quickly contacted, the work was contracted after I got the quote. The work was completed by Troy and his assistant in a professional manner...work space was kept clean, shortcuts were NOT taken, effective sealing, painting and cosmetic work. The building looks so much better, the siding nearest the ground no longer has areas of wood rot. The Hardiplank will last “forever”; Troy ensured problems were resolved before slapping “a fix” over the wood rot. The job took less than 6 man days (3 work days).

Troy Bilt was a great fit for our job. Troy and Mark do quality work and are very interactive and responsive as the job progresses . Troy came out promptly to give a quote. Work was started sooner than originally planned and he stayed on the job until it was completed. He also suggested a few value added enhancements as things moved along. Troy has a good eye for detail and matching new construction in with the existing structure. The job site was cleaned up every day before they left; and all trash and waste material was removed from the site. All the county inspections went smoothly. I look forward to using Troy Bilt again for future projects.

They arrived at 8:30 every morning and stayed until the work was done. It took the amount of time that he said it would and they came in under budget. Troy obviously takes pride in his work and we were very happy with the outcome. We will be using his services again.

I am so glad we found Troy! He impressed us with his keen eye for detail and dedication to quality. Not only in the quality of his work, but when the lumber vendor sent sub par quality boards, he hand picked and returned over half of them to get us the quality of material for which we had paid. He graciously worked through our design modifications with us as the project progressed and offered his insightful knowledge along the way. He and his team have a brilliant grasp on engineering as well as design to help create a spectacular finished product that will last. He was well organized and cleaned up the job site at the end of each day. He truly cares about his work and is a true craftsman. I would not hesitate hiring Troy for our next job.

We needed to expand our deck on our home and we hired Troy to do the work. He was very professional and did an excellent job! He did exactly as we asked and made sure that the new addition matched the existing deck perfectly. He also made sure the area was cleaned from any screws, wood, ect. once he was finished. We highly recommend him and would hire again if we have another project.

They did a wonderful job matching the railing and the hardware to make it safe for us seniors to go downstairs. We have had so many compliments on it. Troy is very responsive to my phone calls and is very professional in his manner and work. There's a reason I have him on speed dial! He is always the first one I think of when something else happens in this older home we have bought. I can't say enough how much we appreciate him and his honest opinions.

I was trying to get my house ready to sell. I previously hired a handyman and a painter, both based on word of mouth from my realtor and a neighbor. Both were terrible and messed up my house entirely!! They were horrible and cost me tons of money. I was on a short timeline to get everything fixed and ready. I called Troy Woodward and he squeezed me in before another job he had scheduled. Troy and his partner were THE BEST. In 2 days, they replaced a front door, painted it, installed brass hardware, fixed drywall mistakes, re-painted bad paint jobs, did exterior trim, and fixed a support beam. They were efficient and knew what they were doing. They did a GREAT job and I am a perfectionist. I would ALWAYS go back to Troy-Bilt Construction. Worth. Every. Penny.

Our experience with Troy was outstanding. His work, and that of his associates, is top quality. He stuck to his original quote, and when my wife added features to the job the additional cost was very reasonable. He finished in six weeks, exactly as promised. We couldn’t be more pleased!

Troy was great to work with from beginning to end. He gave us great suggestions on how to improve the appearance of the deck, how to save the cedar tree near the deck by moving the location of the stairs, which also opened up a previously hidden landscaped stone wall and access to drainage cover. He also gave suggestions about how to save money by making the design of one deck slightly smaller which resulted in the ability to use standard length boards. Troy was personally on the job every day, and kept us posted on the progress and expected end date. The project was completed within a month, very reasonable, given that he started in January 2017. He also offered suggestions on how to landscape underneath the deck, recommended an electrician and options for lighting, and had his crew not only seed an area of grass that had been damaged, but re-seeded it when heavy rains fell. The difference in how the house looks is impressive--as several neighbors have told us.

Troy provided excellent advice ahead of time on options to remove and replace two 26 year old, poorly constructed decks, their posts and supports, all built on a steep hill. He supported our request to use composite materials and suggested that we visit a building supply company (MWP in Madison, VA) to look at options. He gave a detailed estimate, and explained that he charges by the hour, not the job. He was on-site throughout the project, which was completed in less time than projected (about 4 weeks total). During the project, Troy suggested moving the location of stairs from the original position on the upper deck. His design skills provided a better use of space, protected a beautiful cedar tree and opened up view of a stone wall with room for a rock/flower garden--all at a lower cost that the original footprint replacement cost. His crew consistently did above and beyond what we expected, including extensive removal of overgrown weeds underneath the lower deck, and landscaping of several areas, adding grass seed and hay to help re-seeding--and then re-doing it after heavy rains washed the seed out. They removed an old shed, and moved stones to drain water away from the house. Troy also suggested building wide steps leading down from the driveway to the lower yard next to the deck, providing a safer access to the yard and stairs and improving the overall look of the yard. He handled all visits by the county building inspectors, and recommended an electrician for installation of lighting. Troy and his crew were polite, friendly, always cleaned up each night and were careful to leave their tools safely out of the way of our toddler grandson. The cost was significantly less than we had received from another company, and we are completely happy with the results.

Troy responded to my initial request the same day. He came out to assess and we ended up deciding to do a porch (screened). He and Mat were easy to work with, they took their time and had pride of the quality of first work. It took them 3 1/2 weeks but the end product was great. They were through a too cures, especially the roof, but figured it all out to my satisfaction.

Troy provided friendly, comprehensive service from start to finish. He obtained all necessary permits and dealt with our HDA. He chose upgraded options at no additional cost just to make the job perfect! We would highly recommend him and we will be using him again in the future.

A simple replacement of the door to my shop outbuilding turned into an all day affair. Troy ended up having to take apart the sheet metal siding around the door of the shop in order to remove the door and then had to cut some of the siding in order to get everything back on after the new door was installed. He was constantly improvising as they ran into a constant barrage of issues. The finished product was great and should last longer than the 6 years of the original product.

We are very pleased with Troy-Bilt Construction's work. Troy-Bilt's bid was the low bid but he provided a quality result. When we initially discussed the project and as we encountered problems with the shoddy construction, Mr. Troy Woodward offered several suggestions for improvement. We accepted these recommendations and are very happy with the end result. Throughout the project Troy-Bilt used superior methods and techniques. The crew was punctual, professional and polite; a genuine pleasure to work with. The deck is now completely solid and well built. It is also visually appealing and attractive. We have already received several compliments from our neighbors. We would unreservedly recommend Troy-Bilt Construction.

We are very pleased with the work Troy performed. He takes pride in his work and did not cut corners, even when unforeseen challenges added to the complexity of our project. Without us asking, he did things like double band the deck, use all screws instead of nails, replace previously damaged siding with pieces that were removed for the door opening, replace broken pieces of siding with intact pieces that were removed from the doorway cutout, and add insulation in the new doorway. His standard seems to be to do jobs well, the way he would do for his own house. Customer satisfaction is important to Troy. He returned calls promptly and showed up when he said he would. Our new deck is beautiful and well built. I would have no hesitation with calling Troy back for additional projects in the future.
