Quality Work!

Since we were doing the work so far from his normal work area, he told us what to order and we had it delivered to the house. We knew we would pay extra time and mileage to come across the mountain, bet we have used TROY-BILT before and would not consider using another company. TROY IS OUR MAN! as always - an excellent job. We continue to recommend him to anyone needing his kind of work.

Troy-Bilt did such a bad job that I had to fire him and he was very threatening. He said that he got tired of going to the store to pick up material. I gave him a $3000 down payment and he complained about not having supplies so I gave him another $1000. He did a lot of damage to the walls and the floor he installed looks awful. The wood that he installed smells very bad. The locks on the doors he installed do not work at all. He nailed the door to the drywall rather than to the wood so the door is just sitting there and is an accident waiting to happen. I later found out that he and his helpers were smoking on the house. I found that out because he pulled the fire alarm off the wall and he said that he did it because he did not want sawdust to set off the alarm. He totally took advantage of me. He never gave me receipts for most of his purchases so he really just stole my money.

I can't say enough good about Troy Woodward. This man made the remodel I have been dreading a pleasure. He encouraged me when things looked bleak, found wonderful subcontractors (or, when that didn't work out, did the work himself), got materials and supplies as needed, and returned (for my credit) any excess. His work ethic is amazing. The things he did were done well, and he was hands on with subcontractors, making sure what they did fit the overall plan. He cleaned up at the end of the day, and made sure that subcontractors did as well. In the process of this work, he showed me other things that needed doing, and showed me why, then did them. He was good about communicating his schedule, and responding to mine. He showed up on time every day that he said he would be at my house, he was pleasant, and he worked hard. When he thought I was wrong, he explained his position, but was clear on the fact that the lady that pays the bills makes the decisions. I am pretty stubborn, and it is to Troy's credit that I changed my mind about quite a few things, and was happy about it. Not only is he competent and a nice human being, but he also is honest. He did the work that he said he would do, nothing disappeared, store credits were done as expected and he kept good work records. He is expensive, but worth every penny. This is a good man, the kind of person I want to find when I am doing things to my house. I am looking for more projects for him to do, because it isn't often that I come across someone with this combination of talent and character..

He had to figure out a lot of different things because it wasn't working, so he was very ingenious. He also saved me some money by fixing my side door instead of replacing. It looks great, you could never tell he did anything. He had to cut down the wall for the front doors and had to fix the bottom of the doors. So, he had to do a whole of extra stuff, which was done well and looks great.

The jobs took longer than expected due to the weather (cold and rainy) and unexpected problems with decaying siding, but he did his best to do it right and on time. He is courteous and very professional.

Super. Troy is tops on our list. He was professional in all phases of the job from the day he came to look at the work to be done and give an estimate, until the work was completed less than a week later. He was pleasant to work with. We will definitely call him in the future for any work we need done. If you hire Troy you will be extremely satisfied. Thanks Troy for a great job.

The work they did was superb and I was perfectly happy with what they did. They just worked at it, completed it on time and it was during terrible weather and thee did not stop all. They cleaned up totally, were very pleasant and I have absolutely nothing to say about them that was bad. I spent around $ 4000 on that work. I have called them up to do another job, but it just hasn?t happened and I am leaning on them at this particular point because they have to wait for the weather to change. They had another job as well, so I am waiting them to call me back and say that they are finished with the other job and then we can go on.

I wanted to completely re-do my deck - thinking of the future and of my future health concerns as I had already fallen down the stairs twice and could not afford to do so again. I contacted Troy~Bilt ~Construction. Troy came to the house, listened to my concerns and also listened to my ideas. I wanted a deck with low maintenance and one in which I would not fall down the stairs again. After a discussion, a plan was decided upon for the deck, a platform, some stairs and a ramp ? everything one could want or needed in a deck for the future. He provided an estimate stating that he would have to check the going costs and provide a more firm estimate. Troy was a down to earth individual and presented a professional bearing. He provided a reference list and said he would call me back regarding actual cost. I did call people on his reference list and all confirmed that he was indeed a professional honest contractor. I notified him that I wished to employ his services. He produced a contract which was well written but not full of the gobby-g*** of lawyers, but one that simply stated what he was going to do, how he was going to do it and when. He immediately went to work and he and his helper came every day, worked throughout the day and was no problem what so ever. Both were polite, caring and stayed to their work. Every evening they cleaned the area up before they left. He always stayed in touch explaining what he was doing and why. There were several places where my idea proved to be impossible but Troy was patient, understanding and explained several other options that he could do to achieve the same objective. I am well pleased with the outcome. I have a beautiful deck with three stairs to a small platform, which includes a handrail for stability. On the platform, there is a place for flower boxes which complement the deck. A ramp extends from the platform to the driveway and the handrails just set it off. It is absolutely beautiful. I know I will be able to enjoy my deck for years to come. I am glad that I did hired Troy~Bilt~Construction for my deck and would hire him again. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants reputable professional work.

I called this company because they had great reviews. I first left a message, and they called back a few hours later that day. I explained that I wanted to put on a sun room, and they agreed to do a free estimate. This was on a Monday. They said that they would come over for the estimate either Thursday or Friday night, and they would call me either Tuesday or Wednesday night and let me know when it would be. I never heard from them again. I'm entirely disappointed by the lack of professionalism with first setting up the appointment, and then them completely dropping the ball with no other contact. Of course, I could have called them back to follow up, but if they can't set up a free estimate properly, I don't want to do business with them.

The first meeting was to look at our existing home and get an idea of what we wanted to do. The owner arrived on time and immediately provided references. He listened to what we were interested in trying to do, discussed the pros and cons of our ideas, and had many interesting ideas of his own. After telling him that we were not in a big hurry, we agreed to have another meeting in the future once he had some time to work on preliminary plans and come up with a more detailed estimate. In the interim, he kept in contact with us to let us know that he was working on our project. At our second meeting, he arrived with several detailed computer-designed drawings which closely matched our stated desires. We ended up deciding not to do an addition at this time, but we had a very positive experience with Troy Bilt and would recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Wow! Outstanding would sum up our experience w/ Troy~Bilt~Construction! Troy is hardworking and very motovated;I think he's very reliable and honest.Great guy!! They worked on our job everyday until it was totally completed. We are so pleased and happy we hired troy for our project. We recommend anyone who has a project to do; not to hesitate hiring troy for the job. We are already thinking about another project for spring time and Troy~Bilt~ is the only contractor we will ever use again! I was not happy with their estimate. The estimate they gave me was $5000 and I felt it was way too expensive to drywall 2 rooms. I felt like because I was a woman he thought I knew nothing better. I also had some electrical work to be done and the price he gave me for everything was outrageous. He was very professional but the end result with me being taken for a ride, I did not like that.

Troy was selected as a result of the recommendations from Angie's List, and he did not disappoint. Troy was here on the job in a timely manner each day of construction. He was aware of our time frame to complete the job, and he made it. Troy was on budget. Troy is a perfectionist, and this attribute was welcomed and appreciated. The result of the remodeled master bathroom was well beyond our expectations. It is absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend Troy for any building job. It was truely a great experience.

Everything went great. Although his was not the lowest estimate, I decided to use him because he had such a good handle on all the details. The workers were not only efficient, they were also very pleasant and Troy himself has a great sense of humor. Afterwards, everything was even cleaner than before they started. I'd use him again.

As referenced in my comments above, the work Troy completed for me was professionally done, high quality work. He is an extremely reliable, very neat worker and takes time to do the job right!

I wasn?t able to hire them but I would have; circumstances made it so I didn?t get the work done that he gave me an estimate for. They gave me an excellent quote, he was prompt and courteous, he gave me references up front, and the references I called were all positive. For all the things he was going to do, the price was really cheap. I will absolutely consider using him in the future.

OUTSTANDING, is the only way I can fully describe our experience with TROY-BILT CONSTRUCTION. My wife and I had heard numerous horror stories from friends and acquaintances about nightmares they had experienced from various contractors who had provided services for them. Our complete job came in under budget and within the time frame we requested. Throughout the entire period of the remodel the owner of the company Mr. Troy Woodward stayed in constant communication with my wife and I. It was indeed a pleasure to have worked with such a professional company.
