I've used Strictly Stumps three times over the past five years, most recently in March 2017. The crew is unfailingly professional, always finding ways to minimize "collateral damage" and disruption. Twice they've had to remove a portion of my fence to get the stump grinder in and temporarily move small plants. They always replace everything just as they found it. They're prices are very competitive. I couldn't be more pleased with their service.

Very professional, competitive prices and did a great job. Will be the first I call if another problem. Four men removed a 60-70 year old very tall black gum that came down and was leaning in the crown of an ash tree in my yard. Very careful with my landscaping and raked the area when done. Smaller branches were cut into fireplace lengths for my neighbor. Strongly recommend them.

The removal was fast and efficient. Dana and his crew was careful to move or remove any items from the patio and deck that were in the line of fire. They were efficient, worked well as a team and were amazing to watch. When the job was done they ensured that debris was picked up and the yard was cleaned up.

Strictly Stumps came out and removed a tree that had fallen in my backyard. I have used them twice now and they are great. My impression is that they are fair and honest, and their reviews are what led me to them in the first place. You will not be disappointed with them. I plan to use them many times as I have lots of trees on my property.

The stumps ranged from about 8 inches to about 15 inches. We were very happy with the service and thought that the price was a very good value. We would definitely use them again.

One of the roots was especially difficult to get at because of the driveway apron. Strictly stumps managed to get at the root. He was very careful, using baffles to prevent gravel from flying, and tidied everything up. Very reasonable price for the work performed, very courteous worker and I highly recommend the company!

Great job from the time I contacted the company on a Friday afternoon to the job completion the following Wednesday. They replied promptly to my estimate request and then scheduled an appointment to do the work. They arrived early and went right to work. Cleaned everything up and left my yard looking neat with no sign of the stump. Very happy with the job they did and would hire them again!

I called Dean personally because I know his wife. Dean came out to the house, got my plan, figured out the best strategy for accomplishing the stump removal, came out shortly afterward, took care of the four stumps in short order, and cleaned up after himself as well as can be done by anyone. His son Wyatt was with him. I also had some old maple logs cut up and left in the yard last winter by Dominion Power when they cleared the power lines behind my house from over hanging trees and branches. I bought a new wood stove from Offenbacher's last winter, along with an outdoor log rack, which I had put together and was ready for some firewood. I asked Dean and Wyatt if they could get a splitter, split the logs into woodstove size, and stack it in my new rack. They both came out on exactly the same day and time they said they would, with the splitter, completed the job in short order, with the split logs neatly stacked in my new rack, ready to cure and be ready for the next winter. The charge for this invaluable service? $250. Beat that, tree services everywhere...! I would use and recommend to anyone to use Strictly Stumps in general, and Dean and his son, Wyatt, in particular, for all of their tree-cutting or stump busting needs.

Strictly Stumps did an excellent job, they did provide the lowest bit of all of the quotes I had gotten and I have to say they did a quality job. When I called them authorize services, I was told that they would be out to remove the tree in about 5-10 days, they came in 4 days which was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't home when they cut the tree down, but when I did get home, I thought wow something seems different, not realizing that they had cut down the tree. They hauled everything off, and cleaned up any remnant debris. Thanks for a job well done.

They carefully removed all the limbs and the trunk being careful of the fence and bushes below. They also trimmed other smaller trees on my property. They did an excellent, professional job at a much lower price than some other companies I'd contacted.

It went very well from the written estimate priced out by item not as entire project allowing me to do some or all of the required work. Company has multiple certified arborists. I was looking for professional recommendations of what work was necessary when I called the company. They walked the property with me, listened to my thoughts and concerns, then let me know what work was recommended and how it would be performed. I did not feel any sales pressure or have any feelings like they were trying to get me to do more work that what was really appropriate. Called a couple weeks after receiving the quote to schedule the work. Work completed when specified. Crew did great work, were really friendly and did a great job of removing all the debris, raking up even the smallest of branches and leaves. I would definitely use this company in the future if the need arises.

Excellent. They were very well-organized, and extremely professional. Also, they operated in a safe manner. They cleaned up everything and even put personal items that I had around the tree back in their original place and condition. Afterward, I had the arborist look at another tree, where he came off as competent, and actually recommended against service, which is honorable.

It went very well. This is a great company. We have used them in the past with the same excellent results. We had been contemplating having them do some tree work for us again and were forced into action when a large white Oak tree in our back yard just suddenly split in two around 4 AM on a Sunday morning leaving our neighbor's driveway partially blocked. We called Strictly Stumps around 10 AM Sunday morning. Within an hour of our call someone from the company was there to help clear the driveway a bit more and stabilize branches until the next day. On Monday they cleaned up the mess in short order and ground the stump. We decided to go ahead and have them do the rest of the work that we had been putting off. The crew is friendly, polite, efficient and very professional. They are easy to work with and the services are reasonably priced.

Strictly stumps was professional and timely and performed exactly as they said they would. I had to large silver maple trees which were growing over our house and our neighbor's homes as well. Strictly stumps took about 1.5 days to remove both trees. They clearly took time to clean up after themselves.. I had called for two other estimates and both companies took up to two weeks to get back to me. Strictly Stumps gave me an estimate within 48 hours. While the service was a little pricey (about $2200 a tree) the performance was excellent. They also ground down both stumps. The downside was I didn't expect there to be so much mulch left from the grinding two large piles about 2 feet tall and 8 feet wide) which I had to dispose of myself. But not knowing was my own fault as I should have asked that question. Overall I was very pleased with this company.

Wonderful company, very skilled professional employees. We've used Strictly Stumps in the past but had a few places give estimates since it had been a while. Strictly stumps was out the next morning, gave an estimate. Their price was best offer of the companies we contacted. They were able to schedule a time the very next week. They arrived very punctually and got right to work. They worked on trees simultaneously and were done with all work and cleaning up in 2 hours. Should we need more tree work we WILL call and use them again.

I emailed Strictly Stumps to ask for an estimate for grinding a tree stump. I attached a digital photo of the stump to show how big it was and its location. Within 1 day, someone responded with an estimate. I asked questions by email, which were answered within a day. The company did a good job on the stump. The price was reasonable. I appreciated the estimate based upon the photo which helped speed things along.

The operator called the day before to tell me that he was in Sterling, but could not do the work that day because it was raining so hard. It rained quite a bit after that call. He showed up the next morning. He did not call me beforehand and he knew very well that the ground was very soft. I discovered him in my backyard already drilling the second stump. He had already spun his wheels trying to get the machine over the curb. There are ruts all over my yard and several places where the wheels spun holes. I have pictures. These are not tracks, they are ruts. I called the company that day, but they have not responded. I now have a very rough back yard.

They were responsive. They sent the quote but I went with a company that was less expensive. They were double the cost of any other service providers with the estimate.
