Final result was excellent. The plumber and his assistant worked efficiently and got all the projects done in an afternoon.

The project from hell. We supplied the faucet, but it cost $400 to install it. Company sent inexperienced trainee plumber who could not get cold water to work. Eventually, more experience plumber who had been sitting in the truck all this time took another hour, spent unnecessary time disassembling the faucet, eventually replaced both cutoff valves, and charged us $400. Company is extremely expensive.

Excellent overall EXCEPT for exceptionally high charge. If not for my recent back surgery, I could have easily installed the unit myself and saved at least $220!! I even furnished the new connecting cables!! The plumber removed all the replaced parts so I was unable to salvage anything.

These guys are ok, they work fine. I had no complaints about them. The price was high for the work that was done, but basically, they solved the problem. They were on time. I would hire them again.

Fine. Contractor did not come out to do an estimate, rather, responded to my email inquiry with information about hourly rate and an estimate of between $250-$500. The actual cost was right in the middle. Once we scheduled, the plumber came very quickly and performed the work quickly and professionally. He could have made more money off us by replacing the faucet we asked about, but his advice was that it didn't need to be replaced (and he was right).

Todd came twice to do the work required as the old ceiling fan could not be repaired and I needed to buy a new one. On the first visit, he just pressed the reset button on one of the kitchen sockets and the ones that were not working started to work. This took 15 minutes. I had been told that they would come between 12-5 and he came at 1:30pm which was quite good. On the second visit, I had been given the same time window but he only came in at about 3:40pm. He dismantled the fan quickly and installed the new one. He clearly knew what he was doing and he took the old fan with him and the box that had the new one which was quite good as I did not have to deal with the unwanted pieces.

They came and gave me a estimate right away that I thought was very fair, so I got them working on the heater immediately and it took them around and hour to finish. It was kind of an in and out service. I will have them on my speed dial because they are certainly capable of doing the type work that they do.

Everything was going good when they were at my house. Apparently when they left, problems appeared. They put in the wrong filter on my air conditioning unit and not long after I had a leaky unit. I was not pleased. I had to call them back to fix what they had come to fix in the first place. I was not happy at all!

We made an appointment with this company and they showed up on time and did a good job. We were planning on getting a new toilet but decided to have it rebuilt because the price was right. They were done in less than 2 hours and left the bathroom neat and clean.

They were on time, and they completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely use them again.

Able to come out the same day as I called. Work done without any difficulty. fair price.

After noticing our basement drain overflowing I called Shreve-MGonegal about 3:45 PM on a Thursday. After calling me to let me know he was on his way, Ed arrived just after 4:30 and quickly assessed the problem. He unclogged the drain and then tested it to make sure it was unclogged. I then asked if he could also fix our toilet which was always running. He found that the ball and flapper needed to be replaced. He then tested that as well to make sure the flapper was sealing properly. Ed was polite and professional. He completed a challenging job in under an hour. The charge was very reasonable and the quality of the work excellent.

Response time was EXCELLENT. I came home in the middle of the work day (Monday) to address this emergency. I called a bunch of other contractors (including one that I previously used and reviewed on Angie's List.) No one could see me until Wednesday or Thursday, or they were going to charge me time-and-a-half for same day service. I called Shreve and they were able to send someone within a couple of hours. The guy was super friendly, and even wore booties so he wouldn't track drywall dust through my house. He was very methodical with his trouble shooting and was able to deduce that it was the fridge. He even moved the fridge and took a look at it. I was very pleased with the final price. For 1.5 hours of work, he charged me $115. I thought that was completely reasonable given the response time and efficiency of his work. Other places would have charged me $250-$300 for an hour on the same day. I would definitely call upon them again and recommend them to friends and neighbors.

I was very pleased. The plumber arrived on time and did the work quietly, quickly and efficiently. He took care to keep the carpet clean, by leaving his shoes by the front door and using a drop cloth where necessary. He was pleasant and respectful.

The service provided was fine. The repairman liked to talk a lot and to tell personal anecdotes.

The work was good. He was professional. I just don't like them charging for the travel out. Nonetheless, the total price was less than what I thought it was going to be so I am thankful for that.

Called before arrival, which was about 30 minutes later than expected. Plumber was professional, listened to concerns and was responsive to questions. He took care to protect floors. Left a little dirt behind and failed to replace items moved.

They are good. I have no complaints!

Shreve was one of three plumbers I called after reviewing Angie's List. Gloria and then Pamela in scheduling were great, but could only get me an appointment three days later (called on Tuesday, appt. on Friday). About 3 hours later, Gloria called and asked if I was currently available and if so, they could come now. I said YES and they were at my home within 30 minutes. Twenty minutes later (2x quarter hours of labor) they were finished and I'm watering! Kudos to technicians, Allen and Eddie.

Perfect! They had me scheduled within 24 hours. They showed up when they said (actually 15 minutes early). Did the job in a reasonable amount of time. Cleaned up after they were done. The service man was friendly, neat and presented himself well. Very professional.

Very well. I called them at 4pm on a Saturday, they were there by 6 pm. A bit pricey, though that is mitigated by the fact that it was a weekend call.

Great. If I'd listened to my mother, who told me to wiggle the valve back and forth, I would have saved the basic cost of $80. The Shreve-McGonegal plumber told me the same thing, explaining that the packing had probably dried out (or something like that). Fast, on time, great experience compared to other plumbers I've had.

The work took 2 visits. On the 1st trip, Ty replaced a corroded part in the shower. He also diagnosed the problem with the kitchen sink and told me it would be cheaper to replace the whole faucet than repair it. He also ordered a part to repair the diverter in the tub and told me the company would call me when the part was in to reschedule. They didn't call - I had to, and then they told me that no one actually ordered the part. When the part finally came in, Ty figured out that the problem was bigger than he thought and replaced the entire faucet. He was prompt and professional, cleaned up the mess, and did high-quality work. The office, however, did not order the part and did not return all of my phone calls. Their admin person left me a mumbly voice mail message that I could only figure out by matching the phone number to my notes, and took 8 minutes to consult the schedule and arrange the 2nd visit. Ty was super, but the office could use some improvement.

Excellent from the customer service to the end. They were very efficient, affordable, and a friendly service.

Plumber fixed the bathroom faucet drip. We declined to replace the laundry tub at this time. Later, we discovered the faucet was leaking and the handles had been re-installed incorrectly. In addition, the water pressure in the house was very low (over a holiday). So after the holiday, we called the company back. Another plumber came the same day and fixed the faucet. The previous plumber had turned off the water to the house but turned it back on only a quarter-way. The new plumber fixed everything without charge.
