Description of Work: Very responsive. We had a running toilet; a fairly simple, non-urgent, issue. They promptly came out the very next morning, within an hour of my 4 hour service window. Our plumber was Randy. He was extremely friendly and quickly resolved the issue. This was certainly one of the easier service experiences we've had.

Description of Work: Leak on a middle floor, cut holes in the dry wall on the ceiling. While it was true that the water intake pipe directly over the leak was not the culprit, technician did not offer much of an explanation or try hard to really pinpoint the issue, other than to cut more holes. He could have taken photos, shone more lights, investigated the dried stains, but just eliminated the more immediate explanations and then gave up. Also, he kept claiming that the water pipe was AV related, which was not true, as we consulted our AC guy the next day...

Description of Work: They installed a water filter in our home.

Description of Work: Replaced shower diverter, moved the valves for washer and properly connected the drain for the washer that was not connected.

Description of Work: the toilet in the lower level of the house stopped up Friday evening. Randy answered the emergency line and indicated he would put us on Saturday's schedule. He arrived Saturday after 1 pm and fixed our toilet. He was gracious, professional, kind and did an excellent job explaining what repairs needed to be done. We will ask for Randy for our future plumbing needs. Thanks to Randy from two grateful senior citizens.

Description of Work: The plumber replaced an old, leaking Moen sink faucet with a new Wolverine brass faucet, which was a fairly lengthy job. He was pleasant to deal with and did thorough work. He saved me $50 by giving the part price as if I had bought it myself at the facility. I had picked it out there but was not told at the time that it would be cheaper to buy it and then schedule a service call. The price seemed high to me, but it's been years since I used a plumber so I wouldn't be in a position to make a judgment. Plumbers, like dentists, are expensive nowadays.

Description of Work: I needed a plumber fast! Called other plumbers but these guys came out to my place right away! The serviceman not only did the job excellently, he went beyond the call of duty. He gave me advice on how to avoid plumbing problems in the future and explained plumbing procedures I was unfamiliar with. At then end of the project, he asked for a broom. I thought that was strange since he didn't make a mess at all so why would he need a broom? What he did was clean up my utility room from the mess I never cleaned up in the past! I have a bad back so when I saw he cleaned up my utility room (without me asking him to do it), I was amazed. I will use them in the future, no questions asked!

Description of Work: Problem with toilet, not a difficult one but one that was poorly diagnosed by another company. Tried to do myself but was afraid to turn off all water to house which I needed to do. Arrived the day I called, was a model of professionalism. Still, thought that $140 for about 20 minutes work seemed a bit high. There were no parts billed, only labor. But aside from cost, very impressed.

Description of Work: We were having foul odors emitting from our bathrooms and called the company to diagnosis and give us an estimate. My call was responded to in a very courteous and professional manner. The plumber arrived at the house, quickly made the diagnosis of a shower that had not been used in a long time as the source of the odor, showed my husband how to correct the problem. He even apologized for having to charge us a service fee. Altogether an ethical and professional experience. If this is how all their employees work I would recommend without reservation.

Description of Work: Broken fresh water line repaired.

Description of Work: They have always serviced my furnace. But this year the chimney flue had to be relined by another company which required Shreve McGonegal to dismantle the furnace (in a very confined space) at a specific time and rebuild it when the chimney people were done. The staff of Shreve were professional, nice and most of all, willing to work around the schedule set by the other company. And considering how many hours they worked (and odd hours at that!), I thought the price was more than reasonable.
