Do NOT hire this company. Beverly Harris is unprofessional, makes promises she has no intention of keeping or able to follow through on. During the consultation (which she charged me $95) I told her that it was my number one priority that whoever I hire must have their own contractors as I DO NOT have time to go through multiple estimates. Ms. Harris assured me that she had multiple contractors that work for her. She said she had an electrician, contractors, carpenters, etc... Ms. Harris charges a $1,000 "retainer fee" and will work a total of 10 hours. This is the point where I should have run far far away. I trusted her and gave her a check for $1,000. Huge mistake. Ms. Harris promised budget spread sheets, material spread sheets, samples. She never once followed through with anything. One time we met at my new house to meet with "her people" so they could scope out the work. Her so-called electrician never showed, a painting company representative came to give an estimate and a remodeling company came to give an estimate on everything else we were planning to do (turn the attic space into a bedroom) It was a joke, she didn't know these people, they weren't "her people" I was told by both of them that Ms. Harris contacted them off of Angies List!! When I received the estimate from the painting company (it included painting the entire interior of the 1200 sq ft home and dry walling 2 rooms) the total was $24,000!!! A ridiculous price to say the least. That was 3/4's of our entire budget. When I showed my aggravation and complained about her disappointing work thus far, she called me cheap and accused me of being a racist!!! Outrageous and disgusting. I asked for a refund and she outright refused. She did absolutely nothing to warrant the $1,000 I paid her. I informed her that if she didn't refund the money I would take to the internet and write negative reviews where ever I could. Don't make the mistake I made and hire her, you will be hugely disappointed.
