Description of Work: I contacted Mark at Eagles Hardscape about building a retaining wall in my backyard. We scheduled a time for him to come out. When Mark did not show up at the scheduled time, I called and he said he was running late on another job. Mark said that he would come by the following day to provide an estimate. He never showed up!

They did a great job of taking a design and applying it to my backyard. They work hard and are very personable. They brought in the machinery to prepare the yard, install two walkways and a set of stairs. The nicest part of the job was the work they did to support the hot tub to include working with the electrician to run the electric under the patio and along side the hot tub...an extremely professional job overall.
Description of Work: I used the services of Eagles Hardscape LLC in July. They leveled the yard, installed a patio for a hot tub, as well as two walkways and set of stairs.

We didn't go with them. They were very nice. We didn't have any issues with them or their estimate. It was just that somebody else came out that was slightly more impressive and we liked the price better. I wasn't put off by them at all. We had 3 estimates and they were all fairly close within a 1000 or 1500 of each other. We got all the companies off Angie's List. They were very professional. They were timely. They were everything you would want from somebody coming out to your house.
Description of Work: We had Eagles Hardscape come out and do an estimate to do a walkway from our front door to our driveway.

I believe the owner?s name is Mark Shelton. I called him and he returned my call a day or two later. He was willing to give a free estimate. We set a date and time, which was yesterday at 3 p.m. He called me right as 3 o?clock was approaching apologizing that he was going to be a couple of minutes late. He was just about 5 minutes late and I am very timely person and time is very important to me. So I would give him great reviews on that. He was very professional and pleasant. He was very receptive to what I needed done. We needed a retaining wall and we liked a walkway. He proceeded while on the premises and it took him quite sometime, better than an hour, to assess the job. He immediately wrote me a proposal. The estimate was for a retaining wall on one full side of the home to prevent further erosion. That would also have an aesthetic look. I would have liked him to have returned my call sooner.
Description of Work: Eagles Hardscape LLC gave me an estimate yesterday for a retaining wall.

The jobs went very well. The owner, Mark Shelton, was very courteous, professional and meticulous. He spent well over an hour measuring and taking notes etc just for my estimate. If he was late he always called in advance and would then show up when he said he'd arrive. He also always removed his shoes before coming in to my house when the weather was wet. :) I was pleased with all of his work. I only saw my new retainer wall briefly -because it has been covered in snow since mid-Dec - but it looked great and Mr. Shelton said he'd come back in the spring if necessary to repair any cracks in the mortar caused by the snow and cold weather. I plan on hiring him again.
Description of Work: The first job included labor and parts to repair or replace several low-voltage landscape lights including the connections to them. Almost all required some extra work and no company before this one either wanted to try the repairs or tried unsuccessfully to repair the lights/wires. The second job was to build a small landscaping retainer wall (slate and mortar)and remove the old wooden one that it replaced.

The first big snow storm of the season dumped approximately 20 inches of snow on our pipestem. Making matters worse, the pipestem is a steep incline with 5 homes on or near the bottom. We called Mark Shelton of Eagles Hardscape and he came out the same day. Mark, the owner, cleaned out the snow and released us from bondage.
Description of Work: Removed 20 plus inches of snow from pipestem servicing 5 families. (The pipestem is considered private property and not entitled to road maintenance by county or HOA.

Mr Shelton and his crew did a superb job. Throughout their time here, they always kept our family's needs in mind in coming and going, they were very respectful to family members and our property. They were extremely knowledgeable, experienced, equipped and totally professional at all times. We found Mr. Shelton and his workmanship to exceed our expectations. We highly recommend him and his company.
Description of Work: Project One: (A) Create a single multi-level 24" x 32' retaining wall with 6" wall block and 3" cap; (B) Prep/Cover stoop porch with 3 piece pavers and create matching paver 170 sq.ft. walkway from porch to driveway. Project Two: Create a second 3' x 63' walkway on the side of the house with matching 3 piece pavers, from the other side of driveway to the rear deck stairway. Mr. Shelton provided great ideas and support in the design, patterns and the various building materials. The end results of design, construction, constructor's performance and quality were outstanding.

Mark was prompt on returning my phone call and came out within two days to give me the estimate. He called to say the pavers were in and came the next day to install them. They had to excavate 6-7 inches of soil from the area and then raise the area 1-2 inches and slope it toward the driveway and they ran new wires under the patio for landscape lighting. Mark also replaced all the landscape lights around my home and pool and installed some new ones. He did an excellent job and returned all phone calls promptly. It was a pleasure to work with a contractor who was not only prompt but very courteous and very professional.

Eagles Hard scape took over this project after another contractor failed to complete the job. Our backyard had a huge hole left by the first contractor. The owner of Eagles Hardscape, Mark Shelton, was extremely sensitive to our apprehension of contractors and was determined to satisfy our needs. He meet with us several times before we signed a contract where we reviewed our current plans and determined the scope of the work. Since we started the project, we made several modifications. Several of these changes caused work to be torn down and redone. Mark never once got upset or perturbed with our decisions. He truly had the attitude that "the customer is always right" and wanted us to the happy with the final project. Once he started the project, it was completed in a reasonable time frame. He and/or his crew showed up when expected and cleaned up after each day. Any concerns we had with the design or workmanship, he addressed immediately and completed/corrected the task to our satisfaction. The cost of the project did increase as it progressed but that was due to the changes we made to the original contract. The final project was spectacular. Family and friends often comment that our backyard looks like something out of Home and Garden. Since the initial contract we have had Eagles Hardscrape complete some additional work. We plan on using them again and would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Eagles Hardscape installed a wide walkway that began at our driveway and tied into and extended past the current deck with steps that lead down to a large patio area. The deck was extended by adding a landing that has two staircases. One staircase leads to patio, the other leads to the walkway that heads back to the driveway. To the right of the walkway, a long garden wall was installed. The patio included two large retaining walls surrounded by garden areas and garden walls. We also had an arbor installed at one end of the patio. Additionally, we added a lighting package that included lights next to walkways and steps, n the retaining walls and in the garden areas. We also added a sprinkler system and fresh sod.

The largest project (tiered walls, stairs, walkway and patio) was was undertaken in the early Spring. The amount of excavation and preparing the soil was extensive, requiring the use of the lawn in the backyard as a temporary staging area. It has rained a lot (the worksite was always covered and kept in great shape during construction), but the yard was a mess! When the work was done, the yard that was impacted, was professionally graded, seeded, fertilized and straw put down. The yard was fully restored in no time. While this was expected, the care and professionalism exercised to ensure not only the masonry work was of the highest quality and caliber (it was), but the restoration of the lawn was simply outstanding. Eagles Hardscape has my highest possible recommendation. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. But wait, I did! Had them come back and put pavers down on top of our cement walkway and front porch, again matching the other stonework previously accomplished. The length of the sidewalk is 75 feet, and the porch a modest 15 by 20 feet. The stone emplacement around the two columns has no seams. All joints were flush. The entire masonry work (all four projects) was professionally completed with no seams, no cracks, and level (sloped appropriately for drainage away from the house). Full estimates were provided without charge. The contractor worked with the customer, listened to what we wanted and made suggestions along the way. The development of the final project was a joint endeavor. We've had numerous contractors over for various odd tasks (powerwashing, gutter cleaning, you name it). The common theme? These professionals were "blown away" with the stunning results. "Pure equity" as one put it. I think it speaks volumes when your peers (other professionals) are wowed by the high quality, totally aesthetic look. Bottom line, if you have a hardscape (or even just a landscaping) project, you won't do better than this company. Sure, I might have found someone who'd be 10% less expensive (we didn't, in the three estimates we received), but I am completely satisfied with the cost, the workmanship and the professional courtesy exemplified by this company. Best contractor experience I've ever had.
Description of Work: Three separate contracts totaling $63,000. The original task was to build a complimentary third, nearly circular stone masonry (Country Manor Wall Blocks) to match pre-existing planters. We were so impressed with the original work, we felt completely comfortable with having Eagles Hardscape take on projects #2 and #3, which were huge projects involving building a four tiered stone masonry, 51 feet in length and enveloping a total height of 9 feet. A 6 foot stairway cuts through the tiers. Additionally, we had them construct a matching retaining wall, located perpendicular to the tiered walls, ranging in height from 3 feet to 7 feet, over a span of 74 feet.
