I never received service

I've set up appointments with them a couple of times, but it's been difficult communicating with them. We just haven't been able to make contact.

The floors were in worse shape than when he got to the house. I had to hire another company to repair his work. Do not use this guy. He is nothing but a Thief.

You don't want to details of how I went back and forth on this poor man.

I contacted the vendor to perform the service. He explained he was very busy, and I told him, I was hoping to have the services performed in time for a housewarming party in two weeks. He said he would get the service done in time for the party, otherwise I would have gone with someone else. I contacted him again the week of the party and he said he would call "tomorrow afternoon" to let me know when he would be by. I contacted him numerous times, even offering to have him to the work the morning of the party. He did not respond. After the party was over, I figured I had better contact him just to schedule any date he had to do the work. I received the following response which did not seem to indicate understanding that he had promised to call or have the work done on time. Unfortunately, I am unable to schedule you at this time. I tried to squeeze you in last week, but as I told you before I am very busy at this time. I can give you a call or e-mail on Friday with some availability. I do apologize for any inconvenience, He made no attempt to contact me this past Friday so I'm giving up. Just not worth the hassle.

First warning sign was they never contacted me within the window I had asked for through Angie's List (within a week of making the purchase). I finally got in touch with them and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday at 9am, a time I had arranged with the tenant so they could be there to let the handyman in. When I texted to confirm the appointment the night before, they told me they had me on for Thursday at 9am. This is ridiculous, as we had clearly agreed upon Wednesday as that was the day the tenant would be available. That was the second warning sign. The third warning sign came when I got a text from the handyman at 7:45am Thursday saying they would be late due to traffic. I immediately texted back asking how late that would be and never got a reply. At around 11:45, I contacted them again only to eventually receive a text back saying he was in the hospital getting stitches since he cut himself and he would give me a call soon. I never got a call. I tried contacting them a number of other times, but they completely fell off the face of the Earth. Even if they do miraculously get back to me and do the job, it will not have been worth the time and frustration that I've endured so far. Do these people understand that it's not easy arranging time to sit around and wait for contractors that never show up? Stay away from these guys.

The provider was unwilling to meet the agreement provided by angie's list reguarding the bid deal and wouldn't do the work unless paid first. He lacked customer serivce. I encouraged him to work this out with angie's list but he refused and told me to call them. It was explained to me by Angie's List that once the service has been completed the provider can redeem the funds. He seemed to not understand this and so I requested a refund from Angie's List for this Big Deal.

It's gone terrible, he said he wanted to be paid by me directly even though I had purchased a big deal through Angie's List. He was supposed to show up today to do the work, but he never came even though I talked to him this morning. Overall, he has been very unresponsive. He didn't contact me within the 2 day timeframe, and I finally had to contact him. He had excuses about the system, and it took too many calls to schedule a date and time for him to not even arrive on the decided date.

Ernest is the owner of Better World and is a general contractor who has several tradesmen and other skilled staff working for him. He is onsite and personally supervises all work. Ernest did an excellent job at a very reasonable price in what turned out to be a challenging situation in several different ways. I had originally contracted with Ernest to replace the carpeting in my one bedroom condo rental unit with laminate flooring and to re-tile the kitchen and bathroom. Soon after, I added some additional work -- painting the unit, installing granite tile counters in the kitchen and re-tiling the shower. Things got tricky when we discovered that the leak from the unit above that I thought had been repaired was still active and causing water damage to my unit. Even worse, Ernest pulled out the stove and dishwasher and discovered that the wall was covered in terrible mold. Major issues! Ernest went above and beyond just getting things fixed and better than before. He worked with the condo association to identify the source of the water damage and prepared a report documenting the issue and the resulting water damage and justifying the cost of repairs. I was able to provide that information to the owner above me which resulted in a speedy reimbursement to me for the damages. Ernest did a fantastic job making the unit shine and completed the work on schedule. He has great attention to detail and is very easy to work with. He came up with great recommendations for low cost upgrades that would add re-sale and rental value to my unit. He didn't nickle and dime me for labor on small extras I discovered as the work progressed. He also came up with creative solutions that re-used my existing materials, saving me money. Overall, Ernest provided tremendous bang for my buck, did quality work, finished on time, and provided great recommendations on how to maximize the value of my property. He listened carefully to me and did a great job understanding my needs.

He was rude and unprofessional on the phone. I would not want him to do any work based on that.

The ABSOLUTE WORST.... I've been trying for more than a week to get in contact with Ernest. He never reached out to me what so ever.

He's located in VA so tries to complete all jobs in the MD area on the same day. I had to call him to find out when he could come out to perform the service. He never showed up and didn't call. When I tried to call him I received a 'gone on vacation' message. I asked for and received a refund.

The provider did not return my email or phone calls (4 emails, 3 phone calls). He told me on Thursday that he was out of town and would be back Friday. I called him the following WEDNESDAY after giving him the benefit of the doubt, and he said that he would not be available for another month to month and a half--no reason given why this information was not conveyed the Thursday previous when he seemed like the following week would be fine. When I told him I would be seeking a refund, he immediately said that he or an associate would be by that (last) Friday. He asked me what the job was (again, after it had been repeatedly explained in my emails), Friday rolled around...NO SHOW!! F. F for service. F for effort. F for follow up. F for honesty. F. Don't bother.

I spoke with Ernest and explained we wanted a new outlet installed in our bathrooms. He asked me to text him my request and my address and that he would be in touch with me to schedule an estimate. Two days passed and I heard nothing from him. I sent him another text, asking him if he could respond and, if he didn't, I would assume he didn't have any interest in providing his services to us. I never received a response. I have no intention of working with someone who is this difficult just to simply get a courteous and prompt response to schedule an estimate!

We were preparing to sell our home and needed a few repairs done right away. I called Earnest on the way to work expecting to leave a message at his place of business for him to return my call. To my surprise, he answered. We discussed the work I wanted done and he ensured me that he would do the best work at the most reasonable price. Others I called offered an appointment for an estimate in two weeks with possibly starting the job in four weeks. Ernest and his crew was punctual and cleaned up afterwards everyday. He made very practical and cost saving recommendations on the repairs I wanted done and was a consummate professional. I plan to use him again when we move into our next home.

Ernest came to my place and looked at the job. He quickly told me it was more than he could do.He then offed an electrician he knew that could help me. Will consider him for future small projects.

Overall great. Ernest proved to be knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend LLC to anyone.

My shower stall now looks brand new. The professional who came to our house was punctual, efficient, and polite. He did an absolutely thorough job of making the shower stall look like it had been freshly installed. I checked on him several times as the job was in progress, and I could tell he was a perfectionist. I am completely satisfied and admit that the shower looks even better than I expected it would. My focus had been on the grout and what appeared to be some mold along the floor edges. But he cleaned all of the chrome parts of the shower which had a built-up residue as well - and now all the chrome looks shiny. Bottom line: total satisfaction with the work.

Every aspect of the job was exemplary.

Overall, it went very smoothly about three and a half days tops.

It went great. Mr. Dennis advised me thoughtfully about grout choices and the amount of tile and paint to buy. He worked diligently from start to finish, and all I can say is, "Wow!" The tile looks so good I want to install it in my own home.

I would have given them good marks if they would have completed the job. The front door was never completed. They never answered our calls. They would say they would come but they never showed up. The price was fair. We had to pay somebody else to finish the job.

It went great. Ernest provided insight into the materials we needed to purchase, recommended a tile place for marble in one of the bathrooms and used contacts to get good deals on other equipment. The complete bathroom remodel was the most challenging aspect, but the work came out great. The original 1980 bathroom was barely functional, but is now the one my wife and I fight over getting to use. He arrived every morning on time and stayed until mid-afternoon most days, even to 5:30 or 6 one day. All 3 bathrooms came out great. We still have to do a bit of touch-up paint where the door frames had to be removed, but that's nothing we cannot handle. He even serviced the exhaust fans, which saved us hundreds of $$ in replacements. The second job, as detailed above, was provided as an all-inclusive estimate to avoid any potential overruns. When there was an unplanned need for a backsplash, he offered to cover the materials it at no charge (we refused and paid for the material). There was some miscommunication regarding the start date for the second job because we requested a date over one month out. Ernest did not hesitate to offer an immediate discount and came out the next available date. Again, the craftsmanship was stellar. Ernest comes from a family of contractors, including his father and brother. In fact, he referred us to his brother to install an attic fan (whom I'd also recommend). He's a family man and someone you can definitely trust when not at home (with impeccable choice in baseball teams). He is motivated by taking pride in his work, which is the difference between sloppy work and great work. I'd enthusiastically refer Ernest to anyone in need of bathroom renovations, floor installations, painting or just about anything else that he can do or knows someone who can do.
