 + -1 moreWonderful experience! Knowledgable and friendly at every turn - from initial scheduling calls to home service. Quick service - and showed up ready to go! Mark was the tech and was very knowledgable and quick. He diagnosed the REAL problem (another company had told me it was a different/more $$ part). He drove to get the part and returned quickly to have everything repaired same day! Amazing. Use this Appliance repair company. I have seen a gamet of companies - none compare to the services of this one.

 + -1 moreCalled on 8/19 for someone to repair a microwave. First appointment available was on 8/19. An hour later I received a call that due to a cancellation, they could come on 8/18. The serviceman arrived a little late due to the bad weather. He quickly examined the microwave and outlined our options. As I suspected, it was better to replace rather than repair. He was able to recommend brands that he hold up better than others and suggest a store in the area that carries a wide range of brands. He gave us a quote in case we needed his company to install the microwave above the stove. It was a vey good experience. I will call the company in the future if I need repairs.
Description of Work: Evaluated a microwave that was broken. Recommended that I purchase a new microwave rather than repair this 2002 model.

 + -1 moreThe serviceman arrived punctually and quickly diagnosed the problem. A quick part change and the dryer was as good as new. He even answered a question I had about a problem I was experiencing with my fluorescent lights in the utility room. The cost was reasonable and the 10% discount honored. Excellent work and attitude.
Description of Work: My clothes dryer died mid-cycle and would not restart. I checked the plug and switched the circuit breaker, to see if the problem was electrical, to no luck. After consulting Angie's List, I saw All American had fantastic reviews and a 10% discount for Angie's List users, so I called them out.

Description of Work: We had a GE side by side fridge that was not cooling the fridge section. I suspected the defrost heater was to blame. I called All American after regular business hours on Friday evening and left a message. The call was returned promptly the next day (Saturday) and their technician, Cory, was dispatched a couple hours later. Cory called when he was about 20 minutes away and arrived on time. He was very courteous and professional. He tested the auto-defrost heater and, indeed, the part had failed. He had the part on his truck and was done with the repair in about an hour. I was also given a 10% discount for mentioning Angie's List. The fridge has been working like a champ since the repair. Thank you Cory and All American Appliance.

 + -1 moreRoy ,the repair technician showed up when he said he would and he confirmed the problem explaining options if it was a sealed system failure under warranty.He diagnosed the problem as a small part and he ordered it.it came in sooner than expected but turned out not to be the fault,He quickly diagnosed the correct part at fault had one on his truck and replaced it,only charging me the cost of the much cheaper part on the original estimate .The refrigerator started operating normally and were back in business.I would recommend All American Appliance repair to anyone for their promptness,honesty and A+effort at good customer relations.They are certainly who I will call again when I need an appliance repaired.

 + -1 moreOn Sunday, our dryer (Maytag electric) quit, and with 3 teenagers in the house this situation can escalate rather quickly to a crisis. The dryer would run, but the drum was not turning. I found All American Appliance on Angie's List and called them first thing Monday morning. They answered the phone - very polite and professional - and said they could have someone out after 2PM that afternoon. The technician called at 1:30PM to confirm the appointment and said he was on his way. He arrived just before 2PM - very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. In less than 45 minutes our dryer was back in business. No need for me to look any further next time I have an issue with a major appliance.
Description of Work: - Pull the front panel off of the dryer to determine problem. - Quickly discovered that the drive belt for the drum had broken - Let me know right away what the cost would be to replace the belt (10% discount for being a subscriber to Angie's List) - Had the belt on his truck, so was able to repair the dryer right away - Commented that the inside of the dryer was relatively clean (free of lint), but that I should periodically check and clean the vent hose that goes to the outside.

 + -1 morePerfect! I e-mailed the company over the weekend to inquire about having someone come out on Tuesday afternoon. Bonnie called me first thing on Monday to schedule the service appointment. On Tuesday afternoon, Mark called to let me know he'd be here in 30 minutes. He was prompt, professional and very personable. Took the time to explain everything. Work completed quickly and efficiently at a reasonable price, and my old washer works better than ever! I really appreciate this company's honesty and professionalism. Will definitely use them again. Highly recommended!

They set up an appointment a very short time after my call and arrived and diagnosed the problem with our dryer quickly. They came back when the part came in, always prompt and also calling ahead to let you know they are on their way. I believe they also charge a reasonable price. They always call me back promptly and once when I was out of pocket made multiple attempts to reach me, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend!
Description of Work: I have been extremely pleased with this company..they are super professional in every way, communicate promptly, and arrive when they say they will. They have always fixed our appliances to my satisfaction, recently a dryer part and before that a refrigerator problem.

Description of Work: Front load clothes dryer was operating sporadically. Sears had examined it and said there was nothing wrong (without ever moving or opening the machine.) All American spent a lot of time examining the drying and diagnosing the problem -- which turned out to be a faulty electrical outlet. Their service person found a dangerous fire hazard and warned me about it, and I am eternally grateful.

 + -1 moreMark came out the same day, took apart the innards and bottom of the dishwasher and found 2 problems -- a small leak near the motor and some shards of glass from a broken wine glass a few months earlier. Mark recommended replacing the "impeller assembly" to fix the leak/grinding noise rather than have us replace the whole dishwasher (which would have been our only other alternative). After getting the impeller kit the next day, he installed it and ran the dishwasher multiple times to make sure everything was working properly -- and it was, beautifully -- just like new! Not only were we impressed with Mark's professionalism and skills, but his recommendations saved us considerable money, too. We'd hire him again in a heartbeat.
Description of Work: Our 8-year old Maytag dishwasher was making a terrible grinding noise during the wash cycle.

 + -1 moreGreat! I called this am, and Mark was out within 1 and 1/2 hrs. He assessed the problem promptly and advised me that he did not have the part I needed as I had an older machine. He was able to complete another job, pick up the part and return to do the repair within another 1 and 1/2 hrs. It is working beautifully. I cannot believe that I called this am and at noon the repair is complete. When I mentioned problems with our downstairs refrigerator, he took a quick look at it and gave me advice on how to fix it on my own. If that doesn't work, I will call this company again for a repair. Mark was professional, prompt, courteous and a delight to work with. Thanks for making this an easy repair. It was determined that the ejection mechanism had jammed and motor was degraded. Mark had a replacement icemaker on the truck and he installed it. Both the office and Mark acknowledged the Angies list discount without prompting Mark was knowledgable and friendly, including letting the dog check him out, and I would not hestitate having him work on any appliance.

 + -1 moreI noticed that our refrigerator was not keeping temperature and was reading as high as 65 degrees. I called All American Appliance on a Sunday night and left a message. Received a call the next morning and there was someone at my house that afternoon to look into it. Even though they had to order a part, they temporarily fixed it to be able to keep temperature. A week later the part came in and they came back to fix it. Very professional, very punctual and communication was great! If I had to say one issue, I think the price was a little high but I didn't compare with other companies so I dont have proof. Overall great company. Would hire again.
Description of Work: Refrigerator was not keeping temperature. Door was not shutting properly, hinge needed to be replaced, water filter replaced, and coils cleaned.

I was contacted by Bonnie Woolsey the next morning (Monday) to set an appointment for Tuesday, the next available date. As promised, Mark called within a half hour of arrival, came to our house on time and promptly looked at the problem. The All American policy is that if repairs are made, the $69.95 is credited toward the cost of repairs. If not repaired, then the $69.95 is all the cost there is; no time & mileage or additional charges are made. We were impressed by the expertise that Mark showed, and he left a folder with a helpful guide for maintaining large appliances to keep repair costs down. These are good people to turn to for help.
Description of Work: Our Kenmore front-loading washer had been behaving badly with the door-lock and wash cycle codes causing problems, and not completing the wash cycles. Our sister recommended this company due to their professional handling of her estimate and scheduling of outdoor water line repair in her yard. Mark came to our house on time and promptly looked at the problem. After cleaning the contact points and checking all the codes, he advised that the washer would need repairs costing over $400. Since we had another repairman replace the door lock unit about 3.5 yrs ago on this machine that was only about 4 yrs old at the time, we were unwilling to add more cost to an unsatisfactory product. He completed his cleaning of the electronic areas and put everything back in place neatly. The cost was only for the $69.95 service call as advertised.

Description of Work: Repaired Maytag dishwasher by clearing a foreign object from the pump housing. My wife asked about another minor problem. The technician (Corey) offered his advice on the problem. He suggested that the cost of the repair part may be more than it is worth but would call back with the price of the part. He did call back. We chose not to do the repair.

 + -1 moreI call to schedule an appointment and they were able to come within 24 hours. The technician called when he was en route and then showed up exactly on schedule. He seemed knowledgeable and was able to quickly figure out what was going on. He advised us to replace the microwave because the cost to fix was equal to or more than a replacement. Then he attempted to fix the garbage disposal but it was shot. I suspected that was the problem and in retrospect I should have gone to Home Depot and bought a disposal for him to install to save a few bucks, but I didn't so he installed the one he carried on his truck. Installation was completed pretty quickly, he was careful not to make a mess, and overall it was a very efficient process. I would definitely use this company again.
