I set up an appointment with All American. They gave me a window of time and the tech called when he was on his way. He was prompt, assessed the issue, gave me the estimate, and made the repair.  + -1 moreAAAS was able to schedule me quickly, the technician quickly found and repaired the problem, and he shared a lot of information about my particular refrig model and its operation. He also provided me with an information folder from AAAS for troubleshooting future problems--a surprising but welcome gift. I have used two other companies in the past for repairs on this refrigerator, and I was not satisfied with either. I will definitely use AAAS in the future and highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: My icemaker had not been working for a while, and after a power outage, I suddenly was getting major ice on the sides and in the bottom of the freezer portion of my side-by-side refrigerator. The problem turned out to be a hose that had somehow disconnected and frozen over. The power outage melted the clog, and the hose then proceeded to send water into the freezer. The AAAS technician was able to quickly figure out what had happened and reattach the hose.

 + -1 moreWhen the service was requested, I explained the broken latch problem in detail along with the name and model number of the dishwasher. The technician arrived within the promised 3-hour time frame with the new latch, replaced it as well as the gasket which was packaged with the latch part. He advised how to close the door with the new gasket since it has not been broken in yet. The entire visit took approximately 10 minutes. There was also a 10% discount for AL members. I would definitely use them again!

 + -1 moreMy 12 year old washing machine started leaking water, causing more then a little inconvenience. I looked up Appliance Repair on Angie's List and chose All American Appliance Service because of their excellent rating and reviews. Making the appointment was easy. Bonnie was very helpful. I was pleased that my window was only three hours. (I hate when I get large windows to wait for an appointment.) The technician who performed my repair was Roy. He showed up on time and called to let me know when he was on the way. Upon arrival he quickly assessed the problem with the machine was the water pump. He had a spare part in his truck, so the machine was fixed and running fairly quickly. He was very professional, polite. The entire experience was what a repair should be. Thank you Bonnie and Roy for a job very well done.

Description of Work: My freezing stopped freezing the food. Mark fixed it temporarily until the part, the defrost control, arrived 1 week later. They were easy to get an appt. with and both times they had to come out to my house, it was on time, even calling me before arrival.

 + -1 moreArrived on time. Quickly determined the cause of the leak to be a selanoid valve. I had initially thought is was the door gasket -- glad I didn't try to repair it myself. :-) Technican had the part in his truck. Quickly replaced the valve. He noticed that the diswasher was not longer attached to granite -- adhesive broken. He help me anchor the unit into the cabinet. Asked is I wanted to leave the cover off the front so I could dry out the area under the dishwasher with a fan. I did. He showed me how to reattached the door and kick plates (approx. 10 screws). He also said that if I had any problems reattaching to call him and he would come back at no charge and reintall the door and kick plate. Great customer service!!

Description of Work: Checked out my dishwasher that had not been draining. Turned out that there was a blockage that had resolved itself prior to the visit so Waleed really did not have to fix the dishwasher. He told me that there was a 30 day warranty on their service call in case the problem recurred again.

He recommended replacement rather than repair because of the cost of the repair compared to the cost of the appliance. He patiently discussed the situation with me in several follow up conversations.

Description of Work: We have an Kennmore Elite dryer which has given us problems from day 1. Sears is a nightmare to deal with and after taking days off from work to meet service staff that never show up or to finally have a service repair guy tell me I needed a repair that would cost over $1,000 for parts only, I was ready to give up. My neighbor referred All American Appliances (Marc to be exact). Thank goodness I called them before running out and buying a new dryer. The appointment was very easy to make, they were able to respond within days of me making the appointment, I received a courtesy call within 30 minutes of their arrival and they showed up on time! Marc was extremely polite, professional, and knowledgable. Within 10 minutes he was able to diagnose the problem, fix the problem (no parts required) and saved me alot of money! The customer service was excellant from the point I made the first call all the way through the completion of the service visit. I highly reccommend using All American Appliances.

Description of Work: Great service - problem fixed with one 20 minute appointment. I described the issue I was having with my fridge and the tech brought a replacement part that he thought might solve the problem. His diagnosis of a bad relay switch was correct and the fridge has been running perfectly ever since.

 + -1 moreI was extremely impressed with the company's prompt service (within 4 hours of my phone call!) and with the technician. He tried replacing the motor on the fan (a relatively inexpensive fix) but only charged me the diagnostic fee when it became clear that the compressor was dead and the refrigerator needed to be replaced. He was really careful when moving the appliance and cleaned up the water/dirt around it before he left. It's great to know I have a company I can trust when something goes wrong with another appliance.

Upon arrival he inspected the machine, explained the work needed to be done, the requirement for ordering the necessary parts, and made the arrangements for a follow-up visit. Upon parts arrival about a week later, the technician returned to complete the repair and again was punctual, courteous, and efficient. Overall: An outstanding experience

 + -1 moreAfter several months of intermittent problems with the cooling in our GE Profile refrigerator and freezer, on a Saturday morning our unit stopped cooling all together. I called All American Service late on Saturday morning and spoke with Bonnie, who was able to schedule a service call for after 1:00 on Monday. I was also provided with the name of the service technician who would be making the visit. Mark arrived on time and quickly assessed the two likely causes of the problem. As soon as he touched the computer board, the unit began to cool again. Mark had the replacement part on his truck and quickly replaced the board. The refrigerator and freezer have been performing correctly since the repair. Both Bonnie and Mark were professional and personable. If I have any other appliance problems, I will call All American Appliance for service.
Description of Work: Our GE Profile refrigerator was not cooling adequately. All American Appliance Service, diagnosed the problem with our refrigerator and replaced the computer board, solving the problem.

Description of Work: Our Whirlpool dishwasher stopped working. A repair person came and worked on the dishwasher but had to order a new water pump which took over 1 week to arrive. I had to follow up with them to make sure the part was in and then reschedule the installaton. They were not very good with follow-up considering how important a dishwasher can be for a family of 4.

He advised me of the problem and the cost and then told me that it would take one week to obtain the necessary part to fix the machine. Very pleased to have worked with Mark and highly recommend this company. We recently purchased a house and the Home Owners Warranty covered the expense of repair. Our out of pocket cost was $75.
Description of Work: Te dishwasher stopped working just a couple of days after we moved into our new home. After a terrible experience with an other vendor and having not resolved the issue almost a month after the consultation...Frustrated I decided to drop the previous company and call All American for help. It took this company less than a week to fix my dishwasher. The dishwasher needed a new part. Very pleased to have worked with All American Appliances.

 + -1 moreSimply, wow! Talked to them on Wed and didn't expect to get an appt this weekend, but they had an appt available. Said the rep would call between 9 and 12. Called at 9:15, said he would be there in 15 minutes. Arrived on time. Checked fridge first and agreed on what problem was, so I cleared the freezer while he worked on dryer. Dryer was sounding okay when he checked it (of course) but he checked blower motor and said it was okay. Explained what it sounded like and he checked the belt, sure enough needed to be changed (20 years old, no surprise). Fixed that then came and fixed the freezer, straightforward but did a very nice and careful job. Mentioned Angie's list and got a discount as well Very impressed all around, both with them and with Angie's list.
Description of Work: Freezer side of fridge cleared from ice back up (not defrosting properly) and replaced belt on dryer.

 + -1 moreI called All American to inquire if they did such work. They do, and we made an appointment for the following week as I was getting ready to go out of town. They were very accommodating as to the time frame they would come so I did not have to take off work. The company called about 30 mins before the scheduled time and said the tech was finishing a job and could come earlier than the scheduled time, which was fine with me as I was home. Mark replaced the existing vent, which was much too long to begin with and kept falling out of the vent to the outside as well as the machine. Mark was very pleasant and very efficient. I am very pleased with the current vent and can see how much better it fits the machine and vents to the outside. I do not see any problems with it falling apart. Mark assured me I could call him if it did. They truly stand by their work. This was my first time with All American, I will not hesitate to use them again and refer them to relatives and friends.
