 + -1 moreRoy was great, figured out the problem, it was a worn out or faulty part, called the office and discussed the part needed, could give me an estimate and approx time for the part to come in, both of which seemed reasonable, ordered the part. I paid the service call fee then and the balance paid when the part was installed. They called me to schedule the installation when the part arrived a few days later. Very easy and nice to work with. Have not had a problem since. Good experience.

 + -1 moreMy grandson fell on the dishwasher door and bent the hinges. I called All American Appliance Service on Monday and they were able to come out on Wednesday. The technician had to order the hinges but made sure the dishwasher wasn't leaking to I could use it while I waited on the part. When the part arrived he was back out within the time I was told and called 20 minutes out to let me know he was on his way, which I very much appreciated. He was very knowledgeable and told me several things I didn't know about how to run my dishwasher more efficiently. He was friendly and professional. I definately would recommend them!!

 + -1 moreExcellent service and communication. Previous appliance repair services on other appliances had been less,smooth. Also, and very important, other service techs had been very dismissive and disrespectful to my wife, and made her very uncomfortable. All-american's tech was paid attention to my wife's observations about the problem, and dealt respectfully with her. In addition, the tech was very skilled at diagnosis and repair, and was an excellent communicator. I plan to use them for any future appliance repairs.

 + -1 moreAll American Appliance Service is awesome!!! Our refrigerator (9 years old) died Sunday night, so we called All American Monday morning. The operator was awesome and scheduled a technician to come by for a diagnostic appointment for the afternoon. She said he would call and give us a 30 minute "heads up." Our technician, Ronnie, called and told us he was on his way. While we were confirming the address he asked us to describe the malfunction, so we did, and he started filling in the gaps in our story - and he really knew his stuff! The appliance was behaving just like he described it! When he arrived, he diagnosed the problem within five minutes, and was honest enough to tell us that it probably wasn't worth the cost of the repair. We would be better off buying a new refrigerator. We really appreciated his honesty and his technical knowledge of the product. I would recommend All American Appliance to anyone considering an appliance repair. I will never call anyone else again.

 + -1 moreThe tech called 20 min before he showed up, which was pretty much within the first 3 minutes of my 3 hour block of time. Very courteous and knowledgeable. He showed me exactly what was wrong, explained several ways to fix it (including one I could temporarily do myself) and contacted me about parts within an hour of leaving. Very happy with the service we received.
Description of Work: Ice maker door dispenser broke and needed repair. Had an on site estimate done.

Description of Work: We discovered a leak coming from beneath the refrigerator and couldn't pinpoint the cause. We did isolate the issue to being an exterior fridge issue and not an internal component issue. Ray came and diagnosed the issue as a problem with the filter housing.

 + -1 moreThe serviceman was on time and called before he arrived, just like they said he would. He put slippers on his shoes to make sure he didn't track dirt in which was very nice. He checked the dishwasher and identified the problem as a small leak in one of the washer's two motors that was causing water to accumulate, hence keeping the motor that drains the water running longer than it should. Mark sopped up the water with sham-wows I gavehim, and told me we would eventually need to replace the motors, but the leak was so small that we'd probably be best to just hold off, and he showed me what to do if the motor started running again. He said the noise was due to a magnet losing it's charge since the motor was running so much, and that there's not much he could do. It really isn't that big a deal. I really appreciated Mark's candor and honesty.

 + -1 moreAll American Appliance was great from start to finish. The office staff was friendly and professional and I scheduled the first estimate quickly. The team called with a heads up when they were about 20 minutes away which was nice. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and the estimate was great. Once the parts came in about a week later we scheduled the actual repair without delay. The technicians who came to fix the downdraft were great. They worked hard and went above and beyond to fix some wiring for the downdraft that another contractor messed up. They were also very honest and found out I only had to replace a switch and not the entire motor as planned... Saved me about $200! Overall I was very impressed and would definitely recommend this company anytime.

 + -1 moreDishwasher did not turn on at all. Technician check control board and immediately diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and set up a time to come back to install the new part. I couple of days later the part came in and the technician installed the part quickly. He checked all functions of the dishwasher to make sure they worked before leaving. The estimate was fair and matched the final bill. Very professional. We have used their service for several appliances and they are excellent.

 + 0 moreRoy was on time and very professional. Spent time on the diagnosis of my problem appliances, and was very knowledgeable in the approach to repair of the dishwasher. Microwave was deemed not repairable, and I was confident in his explanation. We initially booked them for Saturday, but Bosch specialist tech wasn't available. All in all, it was worth the wait, as he even had the part available to repair it on the spot. It was obvious that he had the expertise and experience to do quality work. Now that the dishwasher is fixed, need to find a contractor to fix my damaged, flooded basement! ;-)

 + -1 moreOven wouldn't light. They came in the next day and found the problem very quickly. They replaced the automatic starter (gas oven) and the oven worked perfectly after that. They came in, diagnosed the problem, fixed the problem, charged me ONLY for the problem, and left. Couldn't have asked for better service!

Great service! I'd definitely recommend All American Appliance Service and will use them again if I have any other appliance problems.
Description of Work: My refrigerator wasn't working at all - temperature in both freezer and fridge had risen to 69 degrees. It turned out that the circuit card had burned out.

 + -1 moreThe only thing I would add is that All American was very cooperative and patient with me. I had a doctor's appointment the day of the scheduled repair and didn't get back to the house in time to meet the repairman. He had already left the area. When I called All American to reschedule, they were understanding and didn't give me a hard time. They set up another appointment, I was home as planned, and all went well.
Description of Work: Our refrigerator needed to be repaired. It is a frost-free Kitchen Aid and started leaking water from the freezer into the refrigerator. The water was very cold and subsequently came semi-froze in the refrigerator. I called All American and they told me they could have someone out to the house very quickly (less than 1 week). I was told they charge a fee for evaluating/estimating repairs but this can be applied to the cost of repair. All American said it was possible they could fix the refrigerator on the same day -- depending on whether they have to order a required part. They were very cordial and cooperative on the phone. They arrived as promised, diagnosed the problem quickly, and were able to repair the refrigerator the same day. I also received an Angie's List discount.

Description of Work: I had two major appliance issues: a problem with the oven ignition and a problem with the washing machine (agitating while filling instead of filling first and then agitating). The company was able to schedule me quickly. Willie the technician called about a half hour before he arrived. On the first visit, he was able to repair the oven (fortunately had the spare part with him), and then ordered the part for the washing machine (electrical issue in the panel). They called as soon as the washer part was in and got me scheduled for that repair, and Willie gave me a ring about a half hour before he arrived. Both house calls were within the time window they provided. I was very impressed with the professionalism from start (appointment scheduling) to repairs. Willie was knowledgeable, polite and professional. Heaven forbid I have something go wrong with an appliance again, but I will certainly call them. The repairs were in the quoted range, and I got the Angie's list discount. (Thanks, Angie!)

 + -1 moreThe service technician arrived on time and was able to diagnose and complete the repairs during the appointment. We would definitely use their services again. They did inform us in advance they charge for estimates, however because they did the work the additional cost for the estimate was waived. The also honored the "10% off coupon" they offer for Angie's List subscribers. We had previously arranged an appointment with a Sears to repair the dishwasher. Sears repair failed to show and had not called in a timely manner to alert us that no one was coming which means we wasted our day waiting for them. Sears attempted to reschedule the appointment, but we had already moved on at that point.
Description of Work: All American Appliance Service was called to repair our Kenmore dishwasher. The spring in the door was a problem and needed repair.

 + -1 moreThe technician arrived in the earlier part of the four-hour timeframe given when I made the appointment. He quickly found the problem (a fuse) and gave me an estimate ($150). He had the part on his truck so he was able to repair the dryer then. He told me that he also cleaned (no extra charge) the slot where the removable lint filter is inserted (which is not quite large enough to fit the crevice tool of a vacuum cleaner in and so can't be easily cleaned by a homeowner). Since I told him I had found them through Angie's List he gave me the 10% discount.
Description of Work: My gas clothes dryer did not put out any heat. The drum went around, but the clothes did not dry.

 + -1 moreI called the All American Appliance Service Inc, about the noisy Maytag dryer. They scheduled a repairman quickly. He came out on time and went right to work on the dryer. He took the dryer apart while running the washer through its' cycles to determine if it was functioning correctly (it was fine and did not need further servicing). After the dryer was completely apart he discovered that a screw holding the clothes drum in place had fallen out and this was what was causing the noise and slight vibration. He put everything back together and it ran quiet and like new. He said the dryer and washer were in good shape. It took him about twenty minutes from start to finish. The repairman was pleasant and professional. We have used All American before and will probably use them again.
Description of Work: Our Maytag dryer was noisy and had never been serviced in about ten years. We had the repairman look at the dryer and also service the washer as needed.

Parts took a littler longer than I would have liked to come in but I was very happy with the scheduler and the technician. The price was very competitive and better than manufacture's recommended repair companies. I would definitely call again if I need an appliance repair.
Description of Work: Had service on a GE clothes washer and on a LG dishwasher on two separate occasions. Clothes washer was leaking water underneath and the dishwasher had an error message and stopped after a couple minutes. Both required parts which had to be ordered.

The technition stated that the cost of the service call would be applied to the final bill. The office called back with a significantly higher estimated cost. I agreed to the service and the technician retuned on the specified day and installed the parts.
Description of Work: My refrigerator was leaking on the floor. The leak was not constant and it did not seem to happen on a regular basis. The amount of water was small but the leak persisted for several months off and on.
