OUTSTANDING! The owner, Javid, has been in business for 30 years and immediately got back to me with a very reasonable quote for this work. He has big jobs installing iron gates but still made the time for me to do this small repair. I took the part to Javid's workshop and he and his 2 apprentices were waiting to do the work while I waited and they clearly cared about doing it correctly and went over and above what was required to get it done right (double checking measurements and taking care not to damage wooden and plastic parts adjacent to the metal to be welded). It's rare nowadays to find people who really care about all the details of a small job - he and his team enjoyed doing quality work for a very fair price. I hope I will have a bigger welding job someday for them and will certainly return to Javid and his team!

As good as it gets. I contacted the fine people of Vulcan Welding Company, and they gave me a date to fix my railing. Javid communicated well with me before he showed up, since I was not home, to make sure he had access to everything that he needed. Initially I was quoted for 2 railing posts, but when Javid inspected my entire rail, he showed me extensive rust damage, and gave me a new quote to get everything fixed. The pricing was very reasonable, and it was a no brainier to get all 7 of my posts fixed. By the time I got home, Javid was cleaning up and getting ready to leave. I inspected the posts, and they were exactly like the original, which I am sure will keep the HOA happy. I can't recommend Javid and his company enough.

I needed help removing the bolts which secured the side supports of the frame of an antique Singer sewing machine. I was contacted the day after I searched in Angies List, brought the frame to the shop, and the removal of bolts along with replacing the damaged part of the frame was done while I waited (I had the replacement part with me). In addition, he found an old crack in the frame and repaired that at the time also. So happy to have discovered this iron works artisan!

It went extremely well.

After bringing three other contractors in to check out what I thought was a pretty significant issue with the base of my metal spiral staircase, Javid from Vulcan came in, took one look at the issue, asked for a screwdriver, and three minutes later, the problem was resolved. The mess around the bottom of the spiral staircase was simply decorative and not at all structural. One contractor told me the entire staircase would need to be removed and another longer support pole installed. Another contractor said they wouldn't even try to fix this. Javid was awesome!!

Javid got in touch right away and came to the house the same day. We agreed on the price and he said he'd be back in a week. He was true to his word and came back with the new piece. He completed attaching and painting it in about a half hour.

He was a little late but didn't expect the amount of traffic and DID update us as he got closer. We settled on a date in the next week, he showed up on time, did the job very quickly, we paid and it was all set! Easy from beginning to end.
