Susan is very professional and continues to amaze me with her excellent ideas for each room in our home. She makes use of every minute of the consultation, and creates the design on the spot -- so have pen and paper ready to record her suggestions. Over the last four years, she has listened carefully to our ideas and needs and has used special furniture pieces we already owned to inspire rooms that we love. She listens and then rapidly sketches a rough design right before our eyes. She provides dimensions of each item needed, specifies the finish, and tells me where to purchase the item. Her ideas maximize the potential for a given space, making 8 foot ceilings seem taller and providing creative solutions for extra seating. She is very flexible and will make suggestions so that I can procure each item with her specifications in mind, or she will create the entire plan and assist with procurement either shopping with me or locating the items for purchase on the internet. She is not affiliated with specific retailers which frees her to tap into her vast knowledge of sources both in the DC area and on the internet. She is conscious of budget and will advise when to invest in a high quality piece and when to opt for say a mirror from the local Home Goods store. Susan's ideas have transformed our home from a hodge podge of passed down pieces to a haven that is both sophisticated and comfortable. When I have implemented Susan's recommendations, the rooms in our home flow together and they look polished. If you are the type of person who knows what you like when you see it AND who does not want to spend endless hours searching through design magazines and furniture stores, Susan will help you create the rooms you desire. She is honest, but gentle in making her recommendations. She has saved me hours and hours of time and much aggravation, because with her advice I always make the right purchase to obtain the look I want. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
