I think they're really great. They're reliable and I've had them for a number of years. They always do a good job. I'll be having them come out to do more work this year.

Tried to hire, came out and couldn’t understand what we wanted (mulch and where to mulch—how hard is it to mulch where the old mulch is?). Came a second time, I made sure to be home on a Sunday, walked around house showing where the mulch would go (over the old mulch), showed him an area where I wanted new edging and mulch and he said, “that’s not my job.” I was floored. I honestly think this guy has some issues and I do not recommend them at all.

I have been totally satisfied with their work. They come on the same day of the week (barring the periods when rain affects their schedules and they get a little behind), they are thorough, and professional in how they do the job. I chose their company because the men use regular push mowers.....not riding mowers nor the kind where men stand on the mower to guide it. A regular mower is easier to handle in a yard where there are a number of bushes and trees. The mower can get closer to the obstacle and the mower does not gauge out divots in the lawn as it turns around. It is very easy to speak with someone in their office if I have a request to make or want some information.

They were always on time, edged the sidewalk and step areas and left my yard looking great for many years. I am moving out of state now, and they were excellent for my lawn.

Over time there were problems. We used Steve's Mowing for a couple of years, but had to cut them loose after they cut our grass after the growing season ended multiple times in October and then in November in 2016, which they had not done in previous years. We felt like this was running up the bill when lawn mowing services should have stopped for the season. Despite requests to cut the grass taller, the grass was usually shorn. In many instances, Steve's mowers cut areas where that I had sodded and was trying to let grow and had gone to the trouble of clearly marking. Once they used a weed trimmer in a raised bed where I had planted blue berry bushes. On more than on occasion, they showed up on a Saturday.

Steve's Mowing is always able to get me on their schedule. They are very professional and always do a great job. They always remember to close the gate so the dig doesn't get out and cuts the grass to the appropriate length for our yard. I highly recommend the.

They charge by the hour for leaves. The mow my lawn and charge $40 for mowing. But they are obviously not mowing right now and I don't remember what the hourly rate is for leaves. The thing I like best about him besides the fact that they are small and they are very professional and good response, is that, they are the only people that I've been able to find who don't use the big double wide mowers. They use the single. I have a slopping yard and the double wide mower digs into the...when they turn the corners, they make holes. So that was the main reason I went to him because they use the single mowers. They are fine and good. They do a good job.

They've also done hedges. They're very good. They come here, they blow it and they leave. I haven't had a chance to talk to them. They really do a good job of cleaning up, they clean up after themselves, they get everything. They are a very efficient company.

Steve's Mowing has done a very good job. They are prompt and do a very good job every time they come. We are already seeing an improvement in our yard. We will continue to have then care for our yard. Lawn mowing: $37 per time. Aeration & Overseed: $265. Leaf collection and removal is billed at an hourly rate, so it varies by the amount of leaves.

Mowing and Trimming Services (No Dogs Allowed) Using Steve's Mowing to have my lawn mowed and trimmed has not been a pleasant experience, even though I have enlisted their services for over two years. My first experience was a mulching job that did not get completed as contracted and I had to call them back to complete. Although the mowing is adequate, not good, their interest in providing customer service is nonexistent. I have been putting up with services for the time I have only because I have been sick and don't have the strength to do everything I need to do, including finding another company to mow my lawn. My latest experience has made me aware that I need to terminate their services immediately. I have a dog and he spends a lot of time in the backyard. Instead of knocking on the front door when they arrive the mowing crew enters the backyard and my dog, as dogs do, runs after the lawn mower. When I try to get the dog in they continue to mow the lawn which makes it very difficult for me to get him to come into the house. The lawn mower is much more fun than I am. I tried to address the situation with Steve's Mowing, asking that they have the mowers call me before they arrive or knock on the door when they arrive so that I can let my dog in. I was told that they could not call but that they would knock. That never happened and the same situation continued for about a month longer. During that time I tried to anticipate their arrival and bring my dog in before they arrived. Unfortunately I did not expect them to mow my lawn on the 4th because it was a Holiday and raining. As usual the mowers arrived and entered the backyard without letting me know. Again I was unable to get my dog into the house without much difficulty while they continued to mow the lawn. Steve's Mowing sent me an email today stating that they did not want to mow my backyard any longer (using the term "it's not working out"), and had the nerve to ask me if I would like to have them continue to mow the front yard!!!!! They accused me of "yelling" at the mower!!! What other tone of voice can you use when the lawn mower is running and you need to be heard because you are afraid your dog is going to be run over by the lawn mower. Unfortunately, the lack of responsiveness and professional services to their customers by Steve's Mowing set up an unpleasant weekly situation for both myself and their employees. Not only did they set up the situation because they did not do what they said they were going to do but blamed the situation on me, their customer. My experience is that they don't want to be bothered with customers with dogs or other special needs. The fact that they would continue mowing the front yard pretty much confirms that.

Was referred to Steve's Mowing by a friend; we had just bought a house, but were not going to be moving in for a couple of months and needed someone to help care for the yard while we would not be there. Steve's Mowing was responsive on the phone and got someone out to get an estimate within a couple of days. We have been very happy with the prompt and reliable service, and the cost is reasonable. They did add an additional service/equipment charge for the month that was not mentioned originally in the quote - just be aware of this extra (minimal) expense.

We've been using Steve's mowing for many years for mowing and lawn maintenance. As a result of their lawn care over the years, our previously at best mediocre lawn is now considered by some to be the best in the neighborhood. And Kathy who runs the office is truly exceptional, she does SUCH a wonderful job and makes it a pleasure whenever I need to contact the company for anything. So this year we decided to try them for our spring cleanup rather than the landscaping companies we've used for that task in the past. And they were so much better than any spring cleanup we've had previously. While it really looked great when it was done, what I am more impressed with is that it still looks great after a month and a half. And especially that despite all the rain, there are no weeds yet. This I'm sure is due to the very high quality mulch that they use and the amount that is placed. I suspect with other cleanups we've had with other companies that lower quality mulch must have been used and in much smaller amounts because weeds started sprouting quickly and remained a problem all year. I hadn't realized what a difference the mulch can make with regard to longer-term appearance. > >

We were also on their fertilizer and weed control. We changed because they had a little challenge on coordinating their fertilizer service with their lawn service. They come out and do the fertilizer stuff, and then when you come out and mow the lawn, then you mess it up. There was more than once when there was reseeding as part of that process, and the dirt here is different, it is like clay. It is really important to do aeration and reseeding every year, and if you don't do that, the grass is not happy. There is no point of doing that if the lawn mower guy will come and suck up all your seeds while mowing the lawn. We did tell them, and they did come back and they redid it. That would have been fine, but they did it again. That is the only reason we didn't sign up with them. They are very proud that they use small lawn mowers which gives you the nice lines, and is supposedly better for your grass. They just needed to coordinate their mowing with their seeding.

I tried to look up a review I thought I submitted last year, but apparently I didn't. I have been very pleased with Steve's Mowing Service. Gary came out to assess our poison ivy, dead trees, and provided a lot of guidance for our large backyard. They set up a 3x spraying for the poison ivy and everything was reasonably priced. The work was very well-done and so well-done and I don't need a repeat of all the mulching this year. Today, 4.13.16, Steve came out to give me an estimate for this year's work. He was right on time and quickly gave me an estimate sand I will continue to work with them.

For the lawn care I use Steve's Mowing. I also use them for weed control and that's one aspect that I've found is not as effective as I would like, so maybe that's the one negative. I would tell others that I recommend them and they do a good job and they're definitely competitive from a price perspective.

Price is very reasonable. They are willing to come out and mow. Trim around the sidewalk and around the bed.

My husband is in the military and has to be away for long periods of time. I work approximately 80 hours a week. On a Friday, I called Steve's. They promptly returned my call asking me to leave my street address and also double tracked and left me an email. They called me again on Sunday to confirm the information I had provided, and assured me that they would send out their team to do an estimate on Monday, and could mow the next day. Imagine our relief when my husband (leaving that evening) realized he didn't have to spend his only day off doing yard work and could spend it with his family. Literally, six hours later, I got a call from the owner, Steve, telling me they couldn't service me because I am "not in their area." They literally do the street over (Chambliss, and we are on Fillmore), but "couldn't cover our area." This could have been something that their staff could have figured out on Friday afternoon when they left a voicemail. I am literally in tears. I would have continued my search during business hours on Friday and taken care of this at that time had they had the forethought to enter this into their system. What company takes three calls and multiple emails to only tell you that they DON'T want your business? Unsat.

They absolutely destroyed my lawn and at one point they mowed it the times in one week. The third time they mowed it the clippings would not full a half gallon bucket. They charged me full price for it and I spent like $1500 that summer just on mowing. They charged by mowing and they kept on mowing until there were no grass.

They said they would take care of the problem and they did, would come out and quote prices on some other things that I wanted done and I didn't exactly get some of them done but they were pretty much prompt about everything. Our lawn was cut at certain amount of induce, no lower than two and a half and they did that unlike the previous people who cut it. I had no problem with them. They cut it the way we wanted it, prompt and took care of the crabgrass. Our lawn got back to looking pretty nice.

We've been using Steve's for several years and they've always done a great job. We especially like the fact that they use the smaller sized equipment instead of the big commercial mowers. They also apply fertalizer and weed control when appropriate and their prices are outstanding.
