Steve's Mowing

They were very nice. I showed them what I wanted done and they did it and they did the weed spraying. I actually walked along with them and pointed out things that I wanted them to spray. Their pricing is okay.

I'm happy with Steve's Mowing. They come regularly. They're quick, reasonably priced and very friendly staff. I think they're very reasonable. If I don't want the back cut, all I got to do is call them and they make it happen.

After I had my leaves cleared by Steve's Mowing last fall, I was so impressed with the work that I decided to have them do the mulch this spring. Steve came over and I told him what I wanted done. He suggested complete removal of the old mulch and estimated 6 1/2 yards of new mulch. (I'm sure glad I didn't try that myself!) They came out on Saturday morning; a crew of 4 and a big truck full of mulch. I've been doing the yard myself for the past 32 years, and it has never looked so good as the job they did. We have lots of edged areas, but there is no mulch on the yard - it is all where it belongs. The mulch is very smooth and looks great. They completely cleaned up everything and left the yard looking much better than before. We have LOTS of plants in the yard, but they carefully mulched around them. They also reset some stepping stones I had in the mulch and put them back where they had been. When I look at the completed work, I am just so pleased with the end result.

The next day 5/5/2014 Kathy with Steve's emailed back saying they would replant it and today 5-12-2014 they DID! I am impressed. They did a great job and added new top soil to help the new ajuga survive.

Steve's Mowing are great. After they mow, they use a blower on the steps and sidewalks and everything, so they do a good job of cleaning after themselves.

After reading reviews on Angie's List of Steve's Mowing, I called for an estimate to do the work described. Steve, the owner, came out on a Saturday, walked the property with me and worked up an estimate for me. While, at first, I was a little reluctant to pay a price higher than I've paid for others in the past, I took the leap --- and am SO GLAD I did. In 19 years of living here, my property has never looked more beautiful. A crew of four very diligent, polite, and friendly workers came on the day and exact time they were scheduled. It took three and one-half LARGE professional truck loads of mulch to cover all areas with an appropriate and very adequate amount.

An estimator came to the house and walked around yard and then went over the estimate in terms of labor and materials. The work was performed in a timely manner on schedule. The yard looks professionally groomed and ready for spring. The flower beds were are cleaned and dressed. The walks and driveway was clean and there was no trash or residue present. One of my neighbor's comment on how nice the yard looked this early in the year. Good job Steve's Mowing!!

They were great to work with. Always on time, quick and efficient. It was a very good experience.

In general I've been happy with this company. However, I have graded them down a bit on professionalism for two reasons. One is that the last time I used them for leaf removal, (2012) they left the leaves piled on the street to be removed by the city leaf vacuum truck. This would have been OK, except the city truck had already serviced the street. Steve's should have checked the schedule. When I called to alert them about what happened, they sent their own vacuum truck out, but there was an extra charge for this service. The second reason is a representative from the company came to the property to give me an estimate on yard cleanup in the summer of 2013. He was extremely rude. I asked what chemicals were used in the fertilizer and weed control and he was quite recalcitrant and said he could not supply any information beyond that they complied with the state guidelines. This is just once example of his lack of cooperation and he was quite obnoxious in his manner of communication. If I had to deal with this individual on an ongoing basis I would no longer use this company. In the meantime the office manager, who is quite professional, emailed the information on the chemicals to me immediately and didn't seem to think it was out of the ordinary about my request.

Always there. In my opinion if you don't have to call and they're doing an excellent job, they get an A.

I switched to these guys for mowing last spring mainly because their services are less than I was paying the company I had. I've been very happy with them. They're there when expected, do a good job, and the cost is reasonable. I've also found their customer service to be prompt and helpful.

I have used Steve's Mowing for 15 years to cut my grass. They always show up every week, clean up, and charge a fair price.

Wow! They came out and took care of all of our leaves--and there is a mountain of them out by the curb, which they will come and vacuum up. I don't know the cost because we overpay when they care for our lawn, and this comes out of the credit we accrued. They also do a great job on the lawn, fertilization, aeration, etc.

Excellent work on everything they have done. They are very professional. Everything in my yard was edged neatly and the lawn looked great. They even mow in a different pattern every week, just like I used to. Whether it was aeration, mowing, or fertilization, they completely clean up when they are done, so there's no trace they were ever there. The leaf clearing in early November was really great. They were so thorough that I think they even got some leaves that I had left behind over the years. We have a lot of trees in our yard and they created a huge pile of leaves but their truck came by and sucked them all up and I was left with a beautiful clean yard. Best of all was how they got around all the items I have in my back yard with out disturbing anything. Very professionally done. The office staff has been very responsive do my requests and always pleasant to deal with.

I could not be happier with Steve's Mowing for the care of our lawn. We moved into our house in February this past year, and it was evident our lawn needed some work. After a full season of Steve's Mowing taking care of the weekly mowing, applying fertilization and weed control, and aeration and seeding, our law really looks great - probably one of the best looking lawns in our neighborhood. I have found their rates for all of these services to be very reasonable. In fact, another landscaping company I got a quote from told me that he knew about Steve's and was always amazed at how low their mowing rates were - when he found out I used Steve's, he didn't even bother trying to get me to sign up for his mowing service because he knew they did a good job and that he wouldn't be able to beat their prices (I was hiring the other landscaping company for some more significant landscaping).

Steve's Mowing does a lot of work in my neighborhood, so when the local high school kid who cut our grass moved, I got some referrals from neighbors for this company. I was not disappointed! They did an excellent job. Quick, clean, and budget friendly. My yard never looked better!

Steve's Mowing was very professional, always arrived when expected and did an excellent job of mowing and trimming. They did not require a contract, which was what we were looking for. They also provide mowing for several of our neighbors.

They are excellent, reliable, and always do good work.

I called Steve's twice. First time left a message and no call back. 2nd time spoke to someone and she said they would be by the next day or two and leave an estimate. Nothing. No estimate, no phone call, nothing. Very disappointed. Not sure of the exact dates I called.
