Savatree does a good job - very professional. We still have them treating one of our trees for spider mites.

This company is extremely unreliable and offers mostly ineffective treatments. I signed two contracts with them, one for lawn care (8 treatments) and one for tree care (7 treatments) for a total value of $2850. They send out an e-mail the day before a treatment is scheduled. In spite of this, they were a no-show for 3 of the first 6 treatments. In no case did anyone of the company have the courtesy to call me. When I called, they were very difficult and unhelpful to re-schedule the work . They are also dishonest: in one case the technician falsely claimed he had been at my house but had no access to the yard due to a fence. When I told his manager on the phone this was a lie, she apparently confronted the technician who then admitted he had not even stopped at my house. To make matters worse, the lawn treatments have been mostly ineffective. In the spring, they supposedly applied pre-emergent crabgrass control. This summer, however, my lawn is full of crabgrass, just as much as a year ago before the treatments. The company did send out a technician to treat for crabgrass: two weeks later, not a single crabgrass plant had died. The technicians are much more interested in doing the work quickly than doing it thoroughly. My lawn is more than 20,000 square feet. Yet, one technician spent all of 8 minutes (yes, I timed him) on applying a treatment! Don't waste your money on this company. After the third no-show, I cancelled the contracts. In all fairness, I give them a D rather than an F because one of the six treatments (tree fertilization) was done with care. However, 1 out of 6 is not exactly a good batting average.

Very positive experience with SavATree. Called them about getting three large trees pruned.They sent their arborist David Wesley out to evaluate the situation and give me an estimate. Got a written estimate from him, which I accepted. We arranged a day to have the work done. Due to a rain storm, the original day for the work to be done had to be moved on short notice. The communication about moving the day was via a phone call, text message and email - which I thought was excellent. When the new appointment day came, the crew arrived 10 minutes early. Everyone introduced themselves, David reviewed the work to be done with me, and then with the crew. After that the crew positioned the truck, got out their gear and got right to work. The trees are too big for them to use a truck or ladders, so they used ropes to climb up into the tree canopy (no spikes used) and started pruning and removing dead branches. They worked for 4 hours with no breaks, stopped for about an hour at lunch time, then did another 2 hours. After the trimming work, there was a bunch of branches on the ground, which they put through their chipper/shredder, raked up the area, and used a blower to finish. If you didn't know what had happened, you'd never have been able to tell anything was previously on the lawn. All in all - it was a quality experience. Work was done right by a professional crew. Communication was excellent. Price was fair and reasonable. I'd definitely be willing to hire them again.

I am very happy with this service overall. I have a new ly sodded lawn and I wanted to make sure that it was treated properly.

The arborist was very nice until it came time for the price quote. This was the first company we had out, and he got very defensive when I told him we would compare their price to other companies. He left, and then came back to tell me of another tree that he noticed in our yard that he thought should come down. When I asked him to add it to his quote he refused, saying "I don't like people who shop around." I was very surprised at his rudeness - we would have considered them to do the needed work, but not after that type of customer service.

We received excellent service and communication with the arborist who arrived within a couple of days of my phone call. The arborist let me know by email when the crew would arrive to do the work. They arrived when expected, did very good work as always (we've used their company many times before). SavaTree is responsible for the continuing health of our trees, and they get results! I have and will continue to recommend them to others.

Everything went very well, we were able to contact the company right away . They were very polite and came out to the house right on time and made it easy for me to get the contract that was best for us. This was a really nice company towork with.

Their work was well done as requested and speedy. They showed up on time for the work.

How did it go overall? Basically, it didn't. When a week had passed with no contact saying when they'd be able to do the work, they were again contacted to ask. Then, silence -- until we simply told them that we would hire someone else to do that work. The individual tech was apparently incommunicado and the office response was "it's not on our books." Expressing lack of urgency doesn't suggest that the work never has to be done or that they can leave a customer in the dark as to when it would be done, or whether it would be done (meanwhile we've been collecting unsolicited business cards from companies driving by and offering services). Once dependable, Sav-A-Tree appears not to be anymore.

It went extremely well from the initial visit and the work completion.

The health and appearance of my maturing trees and shrubs has been greatly improved through this service I've used for 2 years. Deep feeding has allowed new plants materials to settle in and grow at a rapid rate. Service is dependable and professional. Company is very responsive. Always makes sure pets are inside while spraying occurs. (Spray dries quickly and pets can return outside.)

So far, so good. Brian is very, very nice. They seem to be very thorough and offer a good service in general, which comes along with the price.

The product is wonderful, and SavATree is a quality provider. The arborist was very knowledgeable and cordial, and the technician who applied the fertilizer was great. Thanks to them, the trees have grown like weeds!

I always received a response when I phoned with questions, and they have been doing an excellent job.

We used an Angie's List coupon in 2011 for tree trimming at our new house. Dave at Sav A Tree called and set up an appointment right away. the work was completed quickly and neatly. We then hired Sav A Tree to transplant trees in March 2012 because we were building a new patio. Both trees survived the move and look great.

In addition to the BIG DEAL for Angie's List, I also hired this company to prune several trees & remove several that were crowding out desirable trees.The work was performed on schedule to my satisfaction & debris was removed. I will definitely use this company when tree service is needed. The arborist is well trained & the respect for trees is quite obvious.

Great work! Technician and owner collaborated to ensure Brian had included fertilization of all shrubs and trees agreed upon in his estimate. Work done in a reasonable amount of time with little intrusion on neighborhood. Very happy with results. Shrubs have responded well One can never tell how grown trees respond until the next huge wind. But so far, so good!

Not much to say except that I trusted the staff completely to do the job they said they'd do. Our yard is the jewel of the neighborhood, and is highly visible to passers by as we live on a pathway that is constantly used. People yell out how beautiful the lawn is and ask how we got it that way - we are happy to tell them, and love that we can always depend on SavALawn to come to our rescue should there be a problem with lawn or trees.

Overall my experience with them is good.

I only asked for a quote for lawn aeration. They sent someone out. He was an arborist - and he knew his trees. He was friendly and personable, and in many ways was the best part of the experience. He gave me a quote for lawn aeration and overseeding, fertilizer service, stump removal. My yard's in pretty bad shape, and has some trees that are wonderful trees, but they're in need of some... love... I just moved into the house, and the prices for the yard work were a little more than I was willing to spend, considering all the work there is to do on the INSIDE of the house. I deferred on most of the work, except the stump removal. The price for stump removal, in my opinion, was great. I got in touch with him and let him know, and it took another 2 weeks before we could sync up to get someone out to perform the work. That seemed a little excessive, considering I didn't need to be here for the work to be performed. I also asked for a couple extra stumps to be removed - 9 in total, and they were all ground up, and the remnants (mulch) left in their place. I just need to move the mulch or leave it in place. I haven't received the bill, yet, but I'm expecting it to come in right about $450. So, bottom line, prompt and responsive wasn't their strong suit, but they were friendly and professional, and did great work. If you don't have emergency work that needs to be done, I would certainly get a quote from them and see what they have to offer. Additionally, for TREE work, specifically (pruning, removal, treatment, etc.), I would definitely lean toward them. The sales guy was clearly passionate about trees, and it really showed. I have no doubt they would do fantastic work on trees...
