Description of Work: I had an Angie's Deal coupon for SavATree's liquid fertilization (Arbor Kelp) of my ornamental trees. I have had this service performed annually for the past 4 years or so. My first experience was not a good one, but the company quickly made amends. I had requested that the service be done while I was here so I could show the technician all the trees that needed to be fed. I pulled in the driveway and John was rolling up the hoses, and moreover, he had run over our recycling bin when he backed the truck in! It was a 100 degree day, so I understand his hurry. However, he missed many of my trees and on the ones he did feed, he only penetrated the area about a foot from the trunk. I'm a master gardener and know that the active roots are at the dripline of a tree. Obviously, there needed to be much more fertilizer applied and out to the dripline. I understand that John didn't remain with the company for long. The company sent one of their best technicians, Craig, out the next day and also compensated me for the cost of the replaced recycle bin. Craig was awesome, so very knowledgable with many, many years experience doing this work. When I had the service done in subsequent years, I always requested and got Craig to do the service. Sadly, when I called in for this Angie's Deal service in 2012, Craig had recently passed away. This time they sent Jose, and older man from Peru (I think), and he was just as excellent as Craig had been! I will continue to use SavATree for fertilization and have recommended them to friends and neighbors. Also, one year I had the company trim my crepe myrtles, and Will did a fine job! :-)

Description of Work: Service provider didn't bother to come to the door, just sprayed the lawn. Only sprayed a portion of the lawn for which the estimate was given and left the gate to the back yard open. Results where lawn was sprayed were mediocre and certainly not worth paying for several more applications.

Description of Work: They did a good job for us twice. Both were difficult both were done right. Excellent clean up after the jobs. Very professional and courteous.

Description of Work: It's been over a year since we used Savatree so I don't remember all the details but I recall that the service did not have the results we expected (my husband eventually discontinued the service and just worked on the lawn himself and it turned out great). Cost was high compared to other competitors. It was designed to be a periodic service but I recall us not having service for months and we had to call and ask him if he was still coming. He came that week. He also really sold us on the fact that he would give us detailed info on how he was treating our lawn, but he really didn't. In the end, neither the service or the result was what was promised, and the price was high.

Description of Work: I had a tree cut down and two tree stumps removed. I had to coordinate work with SavATree and another company who was building a retaining wall for me. The other company was very unprofessional - not showing up or showing up at the last minute, etc., but SavATree went out of their way to coordinate with me. They were fast, efficient, and professional. I would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future.

Description of Work: I really wanted to like Sav-A-Tree based on all the good reviews, but our lawn looks significantly worse after their treatments rather than better. They are very prompt to respond and the representative I worked with was very nice. From that aspect, they are wonderful. They were the most expensive of all of our quotes, but we went with them anyway based on the reviews. When they started in the spring, they said they were going to treat the little bit of crabgrass that was in our yard and fertilize it so that the grass would continue to fill in. It is now August and our lawn is about 75% crabgrass! I called the rep and he said they could use something stronger which would kill the crabgrass, but then we'd have big patches of brown mud where the grass died. That would look even worse. So we cancelled our contract with them and are now using Scotts Lawn Service.

Description of Work: Kyle, the Arborist, was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. The price was very reasonable and competitive with other quotes I obtained. The appointment was scheduled quickly after I decided to use them to prune my large Oak tree. The work was excellent. The men who performed the work were thorough and professional. Kyle stopped by to ensure that everything was done as promised. Having had this tree trimmed twice before, I can say with confidence that this was by far the most thorough job done. I highly recommend them!
