R M Banning Roofing

On 3/31 a storm caused a portion of our siding to come loose. I contacted the company on 4/1 and an in-person estimate was provided on 4/2. The repair was completed on 4/3. Because the siding was still attached (barely) there was an urgency in having the work completed. During the estimate, I explained that we recently purchased our home, and while we would like to replace the siding in the future, it's not in our budget at this time. At no time was I pressured to replace the siding, or for any other work other than the scope of the repair. We will however use R.M. Banning when we do replace our siding. Great service!

Very responsive - we are selling our home and needed this done after the home inspection. Found the siding and replaced it quickly. Everyone at Banning is very professional and accommodating - very pleasant experience to work with this company and would highly recommend them.

The technician arrive on time, assembled the siding materials stored in the garage and reviewed with me the areas where he needed to replace the damaged siding. When I returned home that day, the work was satisfactorily completed, the work areas were cleaned up, and the invoice was forwarded to me. All went well and with the repairs, and we do not anticipate further damage to the siding or the structural materials under the repaired sections.

Banning was quick to respond and schedule someone to come do the inspection. They actually came the very next day after I contacted them. The technician who came, Steve Ford, was very professional, courteous, and took the time to explain what he would do. I told him what the gutter cleaner had said and that I had noticed the lip of the roof raised a bit on one edge. Steve conducted a thorough inspection and told me that although that edge was a bit raised, it didn't pose a problem. He further stated that he had inspected the entire roof and found no issues. He went so far as to let me know that the roof looked like it still had about seven years of life to it. He could have tried to sell me on repairs or on a new roof, but he did not. He was honest and took the time to answer my questions. Banning is a company I would definitely come to in the future for work. Based on this transaction, I would trust them to do the right work needed and to be complete professionals.

Protected the house and driveway with tarps. Rich Banning owner. Kept me informed through the entire process and made sure I was happy. The workers were polite and cleaned up well. Final clean up was great and they left my place cleaner than they found it. Rich did final inspection and job looks great.

Steve did a thorough job. He was very professional and reliable. I know the work was done properly with great attention to detail. It was a pleasure interfacing with the members of the company from scheduling, estimate and execution of the project.

RM Banning was the best. We recently purchased our home in Arlington. Prior to the contract on the home, the previous owners already had another roofing company "repair" the roof to fix certain leaks. After we were under contract (but before closing), we had to bring in a second roofing company to "repair" the roof because the leaks had not stopped. After closing, the leaks continued -- and, finally, we found the right company (RM Banning). They came in, did a full assessment, were very responsive to all our questions, and came up with the right plan to fix the roof once and for all. Most importantly, their execution was great -- the leaks have all stopped! From the owner to the project manager to the office administrative staff, we could not have asked for anything more. The price might have been slightly on the high side, but it was more than worth it. We will never call another roofing company -- RM Banning has a customer for life!

The removal of the roofing went well and the foreman of the crew was so sensitive to my concern that the roofing materials would damage the bushes in front of the house that he built a box of sorts to cover the bushes. I was very impressed with that. Rich Banning was around a lot to see how things were going and how I thought things were going. He answered all of my questions before and after I signed the contract for the work. When it was discovered that the dormer framing needed rebuilding, the carpenter that Rich brought in did a very thorough rebuild. The clean up was also very thorough from roofing materials to nails. Meal trash took some time to get cleaned up but considering that the rest of the job went well, I didn't make too much noise about it.

I had a major leak on the back of my mothers house and he was able to completely fix it with a new roof. His price was very fair. I received another quote that was twice as much as him. He was very punctual when he gave his estimate and also followed up with me right away. When we signed the deal, he gave me priority because of my elderly mother which I appreciated. He was very thoughtful with regards to my mom and the situation. He gave me a guarantee on the roof that it wouldn't leak.

Steve arrived on time and installed new soffit vents perfectly. He cleaned so well that you could not tell he was there! He did a quality job.

Job was started on time with a great crew of professional roofers who worked well together and completed the job on time as promised. While the work was going on Rich Banning dropped by on two different occasions to check on the work progress and to answer all my questions. Any questions or concerns were immediately delt with to my complete satisfaction. After the work was completed, all the crew spent a great deal of time on cleanup to make sure everything was perfect before they left. The following Monday Rich came by and we did a complete "walk around" to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. We were having a problem with the gutter leaking on the joint at our townhouse. Contacted several gutter companies who refused to even give us an estimate bc our townhouse is 4 stories. Many recommended we contact roofers. Contacted 3 roofers including Banning. Two of the roofers did not get a ladder out to do the estimate and just looked at the gutter from the street. Both of these roofers indicated the entire gutter needed to be replaced based on their "inspection" four stories below. Banning was the only one who would get the ladder out to see the problem. After a 5 minute inspection, the technician indicated that we simply needed to regrout the seam which he then performed in five minutes time. This saved us thousands (from getting gutters replaced). Excellent customer service. When we do need to replace our gutters, RM Banning will be the first company I call. Honest, reliable service.

The crew showed up on time and started working right away. The original estimate did not include the replacement of the original plywood since it could not be determined until the two layers of shingles were removed. The crew manager explained and showed me the condition of the original wood before purchasing additional supplies. At one point it was raining for about an hour and the crew had to stop but stayed on the job to make sure that you could continue and finish all the work within the day. They did a thorough job of covering the area around the house and picking up all the trash before they left. Richard made sure that the job was completed to my satisfaction. The entire process was easy and what impressed me most was the constant communication the office provided.

You hear people say, "I'd hire that company again." Well, we did. We have lived in our house 39 years and had the R.M. Banning Company install a new roof 25 years ago. They were very knowledgeable. They've done a fair amount of work in this area. They do a very good job cleaning up and they're a very professional company. The workers were very good, no nonsense, no playing around and just got the job done. The quality of their work is excellent and the price is very competitive. Their responsiveness is excellent. I think it was less than a week from the time we accepted their estimate to the time they came to do the job. They were here early and left when they were done.

This wonderful company provided outstanding service, materials, cooperation, communication, patience, and modest fees for the services I needed for my roof. Half-way during the process, Mr. Banning discovered my 65 year-old rafters (on the front of the house) were collapsing. He was eager to assist me by obtaining the county license timely and extra materials (at a reasonable cost). During this unexpected rafter problem, any new shingle that was accidentally damaged was replaced free of charge. This entire process took place from December 2013 through March 2014. Due to the bizarre weather (hail, snow, ice, and rain), Mr. Banning completed everything in a reasonable time. This is the second time around for R. M. Banning and our roof. The owner, Rich Banning, installed a roof on our home in 1987. Everything from his response to my request for an estimate to the timely and professional installation made it a pleasure to do business with R. M. Banning once again.

All work went very well: Completed roof, soffits, fascia trim and chimney crown on my single-family dwelling look excellent, and I'm extremely pleased and satisfied with all workmanship. What I liked most was the responsiveness of Mr. Banning. Whenever I asked a question during the process of selecting a roofer, either by phone or email, I got a timely response. After I made my selection, Mr. Banning's foremen and other workers were on time each work day. Their attention and pre-planning were impressive. These jobs were completed in February during many days of cold and snow. They paid attention to the weather forecast and altered their work days to ensure work was performed on days when weather conditions would permit accomplishing all tasks. The work crews were polite and worked hard. No "goofing off." I watched much of the work being accomplished, and was impressed with how efficiently and smoothly the crews worked together. The recent project completed by the R.M. Banning Roofing Company was their second major work done on my home. Rich Banning's estimate visit thoroughly addressed all normal elements of the work to be done as well as how to best accommodate a few aspects unique to my home. The number of crew, their skill level and use of equipment appropriate to the work were very professional. I must commend the roofing crew's efficiency in removing the main house shingles, replacing a major portion of the plywood decking and installing new shingles in a single day. All other work was similarly completed in a timely and professional manner. The crews arrived on time every morning or other times they said they would and worked until the last available daylight. I especially appreciate the roofing crew working around ham radio antenna systems on the main house roof thereby preventing me from having to spend a significant amount of laborious effort taking them down and erecting again. The crew laid out tarp around the house to catch debris. They took every precaution to avoid damaging plants. They removed existing roof and underlay which was loaded into truck - along with damaged plywood sheets. They installed new underlay and shingles and new roof line vent. Once installation was complete, they cleaned up around the house - removing debris. Since it took the entire day to complete, the next day owner walked around house with us to ensure job was completed to our satisfaction.

It went very well. They were professional, on time, and even though unexpected damage was encountered under the siding, they adjusted quickly and still got the job done. They kept the job site clean and when they left you couldn't even tell they had been there. I also believe they were well priced and I highly recomend them.

Rich Banning has been in the business for a long time and his employees have worked together for a long time. Rich Banning worked on my roof almost 20 years ago and I was happy to use him again. I received multiple estimates and his prices were in the middle. Oscar and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Hardworking and honest. They showed up early every morning and worked for 12 hours a day. I think they did a great job.
