It went very well! Our initial visit with them was productive -- we chose our granite and the new cabinets, and were given good advice about backsplash choices, etc. The initial work was the electrical and lighting which was completed in one day though planned for two. The granite installation went fairly smoothly though required that one piece be re-cut. All of the tradesmen were professional and took great care to protect our flooring and house in general. The company was very responsive when we had questions throughout the entire process. We're thrilled with the way our kitchen looks -- it was a much-needed facelift and the granite is gorgeous! We had no other problems with their work, but our only suggestion was that they don't routinely leave behind paperwork about warranties, maintenance, repairs, etc., of not just the granite but the faucet and the very nice soft-closing drawers in the new cabinets. They're arranging to provide this information to us. Overall, a very positive experience which included several discounts associated with our Angie's List membership! :)

Excellent service and response. Good listeners and negotiated price professionally. Was able to provide many samples of granite in their warehouse to make our choice. The owner himself was available and listened to all questions and answered them promptly for best customer satisfaction. They took exact measurement using the latest technology and it took only about 15 mins. Overall, great service and delivery. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I had granite put on top of my old cabinets. Looks nice. I have a small kitchen with a small amount of countertop area. They were having a special with five different colors of granite to choose from. None of the five were really what I wanted but I did select one instead of paying more for a color that I would of liked better. My objective is to update the house to put it on the market. It was a big improvement.

We usually don't write a lot of reviews but after our recent experience with Pyramid Granite we absolutely had to share our results. From the beginning Claudia took us around and showed us the options and answered all of our questions immediately. She was extremely helpful and once the project started always responded to our phone calls and emails the same day. The work was performed efficiently and quickly and they left the area spotless. We look forward to using them again and strongly recommend them to our neighbors.

I found 15 companies on Angie's List with good callbacks but Pyramid Granite returned my call first. I picked them by responsiveness and price. Their price came in a little higher than we agreed upon but we managed it ourselves. It worked out well and we were happy with it.

Prepping my home for sale, I knew the kitchen had to be updated. Found Pyramid through my realtor, and they had HUGE selection. They helped pick out a reasonably priced granite, came to measure, then installed as scheduled on time, no mess. Made such a huge difference in the sale. Hard part is now that I've moved, I am going to pick out granite for my new home and the choices abound. Definitely recommend.

Went to the store/yard. Great selection and Claudia was very professional and knows her countertops. She ran everything on schedule and within estimate. Recommend you have you measurements/total sq ft ready on first visit. I also had pics. Very helpful. She scheduled the crew to do the laser measurements. The man showed up on time and again very professional. Finalized the measurements and the install was schedule. Mr. Picture and crew showed up on time to do the install. They ran into leveling problems due to the age of the house. They also ran into a problem with my cabinets not being able to support the weight of the granite. They cut extra boards to reinforce the cabinets and were very serious about making the whole project level. Both of these problems were resolved without shortcuts. I was impressed. Both done at no extra cost. Professional, on time and their countertop experience shows. A problem and a Solution: After drying time was over I noticed two chips in the countertop. They were noticeable as I ran my hand over the countertop. I called Claudia and discussed. Small chips are not uncommon on granite. She sent Mr. Support to my house and he showed up on time. He brought a special epoxy and resin. He was very professional and experienced with chips in granite. He inspected the whole countertop and found a couple of more small chips that I had missed. The process can take some time due to the need to dry between applications. The chips are no longer noticeable and we are very happen with the whole project. .

Overall this process went very well and we are pleased with the results. Pros: The company rep was extremely responsive and helpful from the moment we walked in the door. She took the time required to go through their inventory of granite, explain the process, and ensure that all of our questions were answered. They were extremely punctual for the various appointments that we scheduled, to include installation day and time required for installation. The end result is a beautiful kitchen, and we are very pleased. Cons: During installation there were two issues. First, when removing the old back splash tiles it was necessary to remove the underlying drywall due to the adhesion of the tile. New drywall was required to mount the granite back splash. The installation team did NOT have any drywall and it was then up to me to run to the nearest Home Depot, purchase the dry wall slab, and return home. I believe that a more experienced installation crew would have anticipated this problem. Second, in cutting the granite to fit our cook top they plugged a power tool into our garage outlet. It blew the circuit breaker. I then had to pay $195.00 to have an electrician come out and replace the circuit breaker.

From start to finish, working with Pyramid Granite has been a true pleasure. A visit to their showroom included wonderful service. Claudia help us find exactly what we were looking for (a marble-esq countertop that wouldn't stain), in the color we wanted, and came in our budget. It was so easy and so affordable. The installation was scheduled promptly, the guys showed up and put in the new countertop in about an hour, and they cleaned up beautifully after themselves. I would absolutely use Pyramid Granite again, and highly recommend them to the Angie's List community.

My house is almost 30 years old and has all the original kitchen and bath counters and cabinets / vanities. I got two estimates for cabinet refacing, 3 estimates for cabinet replacement, and several different quotes on the granite alone. Cabinet refacing was more expensive than cabinet replacement. Plus, my existing cabinets were of a poorer quality than the cabinets I could buy new. So after studying the differences, it didn't make any sense to consider refacing any further. Pyramid Granite was considerably less expensive for the same or better quality cabinets and granite. They were easy to work with, very responsive, the installers all did a great job. They did make a mistake or two but were very responsive to correct small issues. They cut one bathroom piece of granite too small but they just hauled it out and brought another one the right size the next day without me saying anything. There were a number of things discovered during the construction that required my input to adjust, but they were able to discuss with me, give me options, and tell me what the options would cost. I felt everything was very transparent and well done. I placed the order and paid 50% on 2-24-14. They came and did the demolition and put in new cabinets on 3-7 and 8, 2014. They came on 3-12 with the granite and sinks to put it all back together. Then they came back on 3-22 to finish up the last bathroom and a few more punch list items. So we really were without our kitchen for only 1 week. Things happened faster than we expected.
Description of Work: I had the kitchen cabinets, counter tops, + sink and the bathroom vanity and counter top in 3 different bathrooms all replaced. Granite was used for all the counter and vanity tops.

The company was very responsive, provided price quotes quickly, were easy to work with and flexible with our schedule. I mostly dealt with Bogi Lymone and she was a pleasure to work with. The measurer and installers were on time, thorough, professional and conscientious. The carpenter who had installed the cabinets was on site when the Pyramid Granite folks came. They attempted to put the cooktop in place, but the cabinet needed to be cut down a bit from the inside. The carpenter said he would take care of it later, but the Pyramid Granite guys insisted that the carpenter fix it then and there so that they could make sure that the cooktop fit properly in the countertop before they left.

Met at their warehouse and examined various granite slabs and decided on what we wanted. While there, we also looked at the cabinets they had on display and got a price for replacing our cabinetry, as well. We replaced the cooktop range, built in oven and dishwasher also. These appliances were not part of the estimate. Needed to reposition the cooktop range vent and do some electrical work, which was part of the estimate. Cabinets arrived within a week and tear-out started the next day. Installation was completed in a matter of a few days and then the granite counter top was cut and installed. Everything was done with our approval and not before. Work was done very timely and professionally. All questions were answered very timely, usually within an hour or two, if it was necessary to leave a message or send an email. The job site was cleaned up each day. The work could not have gone better. I recommend this company highly and will use them again in the future if we decide to replace our master bathroom. I have requested Angie's List to add before and after photos to this review.

First, Pyramid Granite sent a representative to do the kitchen counter measurements. Then I received and estimate that included a free sink and granite that was specially priced to sell. Next step was to see the granite at their offices and select which one. Dates were arranged for installation and the company reps called ahead to let us know they were en route. Then the counter top, sink, faucet, garbage disposal installation was completed. I wanted to keep the faucet that I had installed last year but when it was pulled out, a gasket broke, so I would have to pay for an entire new faucet, not part of what I expected. I called Pyramid Granite and explained that I was expecting to use the faucet I had purchased last year but the plumber they sent over said I needed to buy a new one because of the gasket. The Pyramid Granite rep, at no cost to me, paid for a second visit of the plumber and the cost of a beautiful faucet that looks like it belongs in a TV show, a considerable upgrade. Regarding the installation of the counters, I requested that there be sufficient room on the sides of the range so I could pull out the range to clean and the counter top was miraculous fit. I paid $100 extra for the water-line hook up to the refrigerator, which was installed by a plumber designated by Pyramid Granite. The work was performed at the same time the garbage disposal was installed. That fee I thought was excessive but the plumber did have to find the water line to go with the new refrigerator before installing. All the work was done with maximum courtesy and efficiency, taking care not to damage the floor. My son recommended Pyramid Granite after his usual methodical and rigorous research, followed by the processes about and then installation. He said they were thoughtful and professional with the installation of kitchen counters and very responsive to his requirements. He will use them again, and so will I.

We contacted Pyramid along with several other local granite installers. After an initial phone call to set up a time for a measurement, we were able to get it done. We then scheduled a visit to their warehouse/showroom facility. The staff and install team was extremely helpful and also very professional. We selected the color and piece of stone that we wanted, we were then very carefully guided through the selection of what kind of edges we wanted, sink and fixtures. Again the staff was very knowledgeable and worked with us as we made those selections. You could tell they had gone through this process on many occasions and was very comfortable making sure customer satisfaction was extremely important. On install day, the team arrived as per the agreed upon time. A member of the team provided a detailed description of the work they would be performing. Within minutes the team had put down drop cloths to protect the floors and begin to disconnect the plumbing and remove the old counter tops. I was amazed at the amount of work that had been completed in such a short period of time. These guys knew what they were doing and it showed! The old tops were removed and the new counter tops professionally installed. Additionally all plumbing was completed to include the removal on an old drinking water filtration system and a new one installed. What was important about this process for us was the professionalism by the entire Pyramid team. The fact that we got the new counter tops and modifications to the kitchen that my wife wanted. By the way for a price that another competitor said that it would cost to just remove the old counter tops. Then there was the meeting our old neighbors in the parking lot as we were leaving, we were pretty sure then we had made the right decision. If your thinking about granite, then do not pass these guys up.

we bought a new kitchen faucet and dispenser for filtered water/hot water. We needed to have a hole drilled in our granite countertop for the water dispenser. I called two other places before I found Pyramid Granite. They are located in Springfield VA and we live in Laurel MD so they scheduled our small job along with another job in Maryland. Four men came but one was obviously in charge. He looked at the dispenser unit carefully and looked at the space we have under the kitchen sink and, more importantly, on the countertop. Once we decided with his help where the hole should be he drilled the hole. He had to enlarge it a little after trying out the dispenser. His men vacuumed up any dust and left the area clean. He was polite and helpful. I would use them again.

We worked with Bogi from start to nearly finished. I say nearly because her plumber did such a lousy job installing our dishwasher that we have to get our appliance service (ASAP Appliance in Woodbridge who are WONDERFUL) to RE-INSTALL the dishwasher. In our pre-remodel kitchen the counters were only 20" deep and a new dishwasher which is 22" deep (that's a pretty standard size) stuck out, but it was supposed to slide in neatly under our new, beautiful granite countertops which are 25" deep. THREE INCHES OF LEEWAY. It sticks out about 3/4". I took pictures via email multiple times to Bogi, but she claimed not to have gotten them (I doubt this is the case unless she doesn't know how to use email). I talked to her once right after the install and she was vague about when it could be corrected, her plumber "very busy now".... One time my husband talked to her, but mostly we just left multiple messages because she was "on vacation" "off sick" "left already" etc etc.No she never got back to us and I imagine that Hades will freeze over before I do. They have our money and that's that. Our top of the line dishwasher has the control panel on the top of the door. So having it stick out from the front of the counter means that any water that splashes from the sink or counter onto the top of the DW might short out the control motherboard and cost us upwards of $500....so we keep a dishtowel on top of the dishwasher to prevent any water from running onto this panel. Why on earth should it be that a 22" dishwasher was not pushed in under a 25" counter to begin with??? Well, I was not there when they installed it. Every tradesperson who has come through the house has commented, "Who in the heck put in that Dishwasher that way??" So yeah, I'm pretty angry. I thought that maybe my husband's call would bring some action, but no. So yes, the granite looks lovely, but I cannot risk using the counter next to the sink because the dishwasher is sticking out from under it! No other plumber wants to touch it, they all say "contact the installer" which is Pyramid Granite. When you remodel, you are going to be screwed over no matter how wonderful the rating here or anywhere else. It's just a drag to have to deal with their mistakes which directly impact our lives. But they're so popular that my review won't even cause a ripple in their business. But be sure when they "install for free" your appliances that you are standing right there to be sure it's all done right or you'll end up like us. Caveat Emptor. UPDATE 1/18/14 after my review went live, I got a call the next day from Pyramid and their team was in my kitchen within days. Someone from Pyramid called me today to ask was the re-install of the dishwasher done to my satisfaction and I am pleased to say it is. They also say that they are going to reseal my granite free in the next few weeks (we had understood that the seal would last a year+, but okay, I'll take a free resealing anyway). The dishwasher is now underneath the overhang of the counter and that's all I wanted. It seems that Angie's List is a very big club to konk someone with when you need help and for that I'm grateful. That it took so long is a strike against them, but that they fixed it shows that they take their reputation on AL very seriously. Again, job fixed and yes, I agree with the other reviewers that their prices are amazing and the install (except for the dishwasher) was great. Can now recommend them with enthusiasm. I do have the pictures I sent them in my "sent" file on my computer, but they seem to have a lot of problems with email. No matter now.

Hello there! I'm very, very sorry to hear about this. We know that we have to address this issue and we will not leave this like that!! No way that we treat our clients this way!! We've checked our inbox again and again. We haven't received your pictures yet. Only picture we've received from you were the ones of your stove that you sent us to check if the stove was sitting correctly. We explained to you that the stove is hanging out to the front is right. We would like to see the picture of your DW in order to see if it's something a plumber should take care of or granite installers. Please send us the pictures. We honestly haven't got those pictures. [removed members name] was to send us the pictures. If it's easier, we can provide you cellular number, so that you can send us the pictures from your cellphone. I apologize again for any inconvenience it caused. We will take care of this issue soon! Thank you for your time!

They were spectacular; you cannot believe how good they were. They put the countertops in on a Thursday, my son came over the following Saturday, realized there was a slight leak under the sink. I called Pyramid that Saturday&they had a plumber out 2 hours later, even though it was the weekend.

I started my contact with Pyramid Granite in July to take a look at their product. I walked into their office and was helped by a younger Asian woman. She grabbed a white cabinet and we walked around looking at some different granite choices. She was helpful in guiding me towards some different options. I showed her the drawings of the new kitchen layout and she was able to give me an estimate. I returned in August to select a slab and put a 50% deposit on the slab I wanted for my kitchen (being completed in November). She also included a sink and free faucet. I called the company again in September to see if they would uninstall and put the granite into my garage for donation to Re-Store. I spoke to multiple people each time I called and received different information each time. The first lady I spoke with told me it would cost $150 to remove the small amount of granite. When I called to try and schedule a date/time, I was given different prices and confusing information on when they would come to complete the job. It took me at least 3 calls to get an actual date and time. They kept telling me they would "check the calendar" and call me back. In the end, the granite was removed and the job was completed for the original promised amount. Now for the new granite. We picked a granite with a leatherized finish. Luckily, we could use one whole slab to complete the project. We returned to the showroom to select a finished edge and they actually had a piece of our slab to look at. We then realized that it would be extra to leatherize the edges, otherwise they would be shiny. EK! Good thing we checked! Pyramid Granite was good about helping us pick the seam location, pick a finished edge and figure out the supports needed for the 19" bar. Measuring/Installation: Pyramid Granite allowed my husband and I to pre-schedule when we thought measuring and installation would need to take place. This was helpful because it saved us a HUGE amount of time. Bonus points to Pyramid. Measuring was completed on Friday with a digital measuring system. Both my husband and I thought it was a very cool device. Installation was completed the following Wednesday. Installation went smoothly, but they forgot to seal the granite and also shined the finished edge at the joint. I called the company to have someone come out to fix the errors and it took two phone calls before a time/date was arranged. Overall, I would work with the company again. I know that they are very busy and do a lot sales throughout the year, but attention to detail needs to be refined. A work order with the tasks needed to be completed would also be a helpful.

These guys are experts. First thing they noticed was I had the wrong type of bar sink. It was an under mount instead of a top mount. They left without a service charge and returned after I exchanged the sink. They engineered an expert cut into my corian counter top which is difficult with that composite. I previously turned down another competitor with a $1000 estimate. Pyramid took on the challenge without hesitation and at a reasonable cost.
Description of Work: Cut a hole in my corian counter top to allow for a drop in bar sink.

Pyramid was suggested by the kitchen contractor, although they provided me with a choice of granite firms. Pyramid assisted me in selecting a quality stone, made the measurements, selected an obscure place for placing the seam and provided me with a photo of the planned cuts for my kitchen. They also provided a long term seal coat on the granite to prevent staining. Installation was quick and easy. The pricing was superior to other firms I considered. I strongly recommend this firm.

Pyramid did a great job. I sent out three bids and they were the least expensive by far. Their granite selection was huge and the on-site staff was helpful. the measuring and installation was perfect and the job was completed on time!
