Description of Work: This was the second time I used Pyramid Granite. I first used them 5 years ago for the granite kitchen counterop in my previous home. More recently, I used them for both the granite kitchen countertop as well as the heringbone patterned tile backsplash. Every step of the process from selecting the granite and tile to the installation went perfectly. All involved were professional, friendly and performed exceptionally.

Description of Work: I had high hopes given the high ratings on Angie's List, but I was completely let down. I paid Pyramid a deposit for the purchase and installation of new quartzite counters and an apron-front sink in early February. I was told the sink would take some time to arrive, so I waited until early March (1 month to the day later) to call for a status update. Fully expecting to be told another week or so, I just wanted a status update and hadn't heard anything at all back from my rep. He told me the sink came damaged and they had to order a new one - it would take a while longer. Ok, that's annoying, but i understand that's not Pyramid's fault. My problem was that Pyramid didn't communicate anything about timing or any updates at all to me - I had to track them down and dig up whatever info I needed. Turns out there was an employee strike at Kohler, so the sink would take even longer than originally thought. I know this because the folks at Kohler called me to tell me this directly. Kohler was very apologetic and sincere and told me that my sink was now in stock (as of March 9th), they would ship it to the installer in the next week, but I should give it 2 weeks just to be sure. Expecting to hear from Pyramid that my sink was in and they were ready to set up an installation date, I gave them a month before I finally called and asked what was going on with the installation. I got the runaround and then finally called again and voiced my concerns to the vice president. I didn't know I was talking to the VP at the time of the call, but that did the trick because my rep called me back almost immediately to tell me they could start the installation process the very next day. Wow. After a month of waiting and getting the run-around on project status, all of a sudden they can start the very next day. Then, we got into it because according to my rep it would take them 5 days (5 days!!!) to rip out old counters, install the sink, and install the new counters (it's a small space - a small peninsula that fits 2 stools and small back counter area). Every other company that I've had experience with has been able to do this in 1 day, or maybe 2 if there's a problem. My rep at Pyramid was rude and condescending and had the nerve to tell me "cutting stone is not like cutting paper, it takes time." Clearly this man is in the wrong profession because he didn't know what he was doing or the first thing about counter installation. I explained to him that I've actually done this before myself so I know what it takes and what's involved. Then another miracle happened. He says, ok fine we can get it done in 3 days. So what changed? Is cutting quartzite now just like cutting paper so now you can get this done in less time?? Ridiculous. But it didn't end there. The installation crew were rude, dismissive, messy (they left a trail of putty, caulk, and water from the kitchen, down the stairs, and out the front door), and demanded full payment without finishing the job. They tried to leave without reconnecting my faucet and disposal and when I asked them to, they said it wasn't part of the job. I had to pull up the original invoice and show them that it was; they then said fine, they would send someone else later to install it. When I asked them what they meant by later (what time?) they said they didn't know, maybe later that week. ???!!!? So I refused to pay the final installment until the faucet and disposal were properly installed. What a nightmare. I hope nobody ever has to go through what I went through with this company. And for shoddy work - there are seams everywhere and the caulking is terrible. And they ripped holes in my wall. Consumer beware.

Description of Work: Installed powder room granite counter and sink. This is the second time we purchased granite from Pyramid Granite. They were super helpful and reasonably priced. They installers were on time and very skilled. Their attention to details was impressive. We were very pleased with our experience with Pyramid Granite and would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Added cabinets in kitchen & custom cabinets in living room

Description of Work: Garbage disposal was installed in June 2014 and covered by a 2 year warranty. Disposal stopped working last week (so 1 year and 4 months old). We called 2 business days in a row (twice on the 2nd day) and were told we would be called back that day. On the 3rd business day, we emailed the individual who took care of our initial granite/sink/disposal purchase, she's absolutely lovely and very professional. She called us right away and set up an appointment with their plumber. The plumber came by the house and was very rude. He repaired the disposal in less than 10 minutes but was very short and wouldn't even tell us what was wrong with it. All he said was, "next time, we charge you."

Description of Work: They helped me select granite to replace a vanity top. Their service was outstanding.

Description of Work: Pyramid installed a silestone counter top in my kitchen. The office folk answered my many questions patiently and clearly. They offered good suggestions for saving money despite my desire for more expensive stone. Turns out I saved by getting a remnant from a bigger job. The installers were on time, left no mess and showed me how everything worked. They made sure there was good support for the counter top, that all appliances worked and that everything was clean. They did it all swiftly and efficiently. Consider me a fan!

Description of Work: Pyramid Granite replaced all of my kitchen countertops with new Silestone countertops and replaced my old sink with a new "under-mount" sink.
