Most strongly recommended and will recommend Pyramid Granite to my friends and family. There is a reason they are at the top of Angie's List for granite countertops. If you are looking for the best price and quality of service look no further. To start we went to a "slab house" in the Chantilly area to look for the countertop we wanted (before we hired a fabricator). If you do this, most slab houses will hold the granite for you for 3-5 days once you pick. At that point we called a "recommended" (from an friend) granite fabricator. He quoted the granite work alone $1400.00 over the price Pyramid charged me. But to top it off, the "other" company's $1400.00 did not include demo, a new sink, plumbing, etc etc (total cost over Pyramid would have been close to $2600.00). So in essence they wanted $1400 more for the granite we picked out at the "slab house" over what Pyramid was asking. The bargin deal that Pyramid offered allowed us to pretty much change out everything in our kitchen (sink, facet, backsplash, countertops) for the same price the other company was asking. Pyramid also has their own selection of granite, but although extensive the inventory was not as much as some of the larger "slab houses." Either way you cannot go wrong with Pyramid! PROS: - Price (Can't beat the price for demo, plumbing, edge work, etc) - Service ( Great team of workers. Know what they are doing and very professional) - Bonus (Pyramid's price included a free sink, faucet, and soap dispenser (Note: although they say it's "free" they did give me credit for the "free" items so not really free. If you already have a sink, faucet, etc they will give you credit)) --- We upgraded the sink to one that normally retails for close to $750.00 (MSRP is $1000.00) and received it at cost (less credit for the free sink). Total cost to me around $495.00. Check C-Tech LI-2200 and you will see that I received a bargin deal and it is a GREAT SINK! Since I also purchased a new facet they gave me credit for the faucet they were offering as part of the package. - Stand behind their quote. See also Cons --- but original estimator under estimated the amount of tile required for backsplash. They were required to order new tile from New Jersey and add it to the work. They assumed the cost of this mistake and did not even ask me to pay. CONS: - Punctuality: They would often give me a time when to expect the estimator, demo team, or installer and would often be an hour or two later than the quoted time. Not really a big deal since I planned to be home that day, but I just wanted to know what time to expect the workers. Also, the job was supposed to take 3 days from start to finish. It ended up taking longer because they did not order enough backsplash material. See above PROS --- but they covered the cost of the mistake! --- The only reason they get a "B." RECOMMENDATION: Hire Pyramid Granite if you are looking for a great price, great service, and a quality job. I will certainly hire them again as we start working on the other rooms of our house.
Description of Work: Installed 66 square feet of Patagonia Granite which included countertop (w/ 1/2 round bullnose edge) and 4" backsplash. Service included demolition and disposal of existing countertops/backsplash and plumbing.

Everything was great and I would completely recommend them to anyone, but be sure to double check their measurements. When they came to install the granite they had miss- measured the template from the first meeting when they did the installation. We didn't catch it and so we were stuck with dimensions that we slightly off -- for example we should have 1/5" over hang in one spot, 2" in another and 1" someplace else. The mistake isn't noticeable to anyone, but it drives me crazy. If we would have just double checked their initial measurements before we signed off on it, we would have caught the mistake.

We hear about that first time now! Definetely we would like to hear from our clients if there's an issue! We went back and checked out the shop ticket for this kitchentop and don't see places that supposed to have 3 different size overhangs! By standard usually it supposed to be the same overhang everywhere, except next to stove, refridgerator etc! Unfortunetely usually walls and cabinets are not perfectly straight, which might be the reason of uneven overhang, even though in many cases people expect those to be straight! That's something very well known to contractors!

We have been very pleased with Pyramid Granite. They were recommended to us by a professional in the kitchen design field and are grateful. Pyramid has a huge selection of granite from which to choose as well as a hearty selection of remnants at discounted prices from which we chose for the bathrooms. The boss, measurers, installers, and office personnel work as a team with customer service in mind, being very accommodating to our preferences. These artisans are meticulous in their measuring, cutting, and installing. They were not satisfied with the sink paper cutout but wanted to cut from the sink itself for a better fit. After installing the counters (precise caulking), and drilling the faucet holes (knew standard but asked for personal preference verification), they cleaned and scrapped the counters until they shone. They even set my range clock. If I ever need more granite work, I’ll go back to Pyramid Granite.
Description of Work: We installed granite and quartz counters in three bathrooms and in the kitchen, including a 4x7 island.

The whole experience was 5-STARS. It was a pleasure to work with Claudia from the beginning. She help us select the granite and the portion of the granite we wanted to use. We were given a very reasonable quote. The owner came to take measurements of the counter and back splash. Then Claudia simulated on the computer a pictures of what the actual granite would look like with the two sinks cut out and back splash. The installers came removed the old counter and installed the granite with the porcelain vanity sinks. They were polite, professional and cleaned any debris left behind. The workmanship was EXCELLENT!!!!! I can't believe how they matched the grain and pattern of the granite counter to the backsplash. It is simply beautiful and looks like a piece of art!! I can't wait to hire them again.

The staff was very attentive, patient and courteous over several visits as we decided on the type and cut of granite we wanted. After the granite arrived and there was an issue, they worked with us to come to an equitable solution, and made sure that the following shipment met our specifications. The measuring and installation crews came on time and and were very efficient. Installation team cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the job. Most important was the post-installation service. About ten months after installation, the handle on the sink faucet we had purchased (as part of the package), broke. Pyramid replaced it without question with a new unit on the same day I contacted them. Would recommend them and intend to use them again.

We saved a bundle of money by finding them on Angie's List. I probably would never have found them. They came in and were phenomenal. They were so much cheaper than everybody else and did a great job. They were all Mongolian. They did a fantastic job and they had the best price. They worked really hard to save us money. They were able to find a place where all it took was shaving off a quarter of an inch in one place and that put the whole kitchen under one slab of silestone which saved us significant money.

Description of Work: We wanted to tie together a desk, cabinet and file cabinet with a granite countertop to unify the work area in our den/office. We selected a granite at the warehouse where the staff was very helpful and efficient. From walking in to having an estimate and appt for measuring took approximately one hour. Pyramid came out to measure when they said they would and had the granite cut and installed within one week of our walking into their warehouse. Amazing. And the countertop is beautiful!! The team was entirely efficient and professional and we will definitely return since we plan on a kitchen and bathroom remodel soon.

They were extremely helpful. They gave me a free sink and a free faucet, then because they created a problem, they gave me 2 sink screens for free. Their granite yard was in an area that was difficult to get to and didn't know how I would find my way back. The manager got in his car and led me back. I also got the best estimate from them out of 5 companies. I would certainly use them again and recommend them for everything.

Pyramid came out immediately to measure and, within 24 hours, gave me a firm estimate. Pyramid was able to recommend a really useful, upgraded faucet that I did not know existed, and it is great for kitchen use. They beat both Home Depot and Lowes on price, and dealing with them was a pleasure. They did what they promised, when they promised, and with the high quality workmanship they promised. They worked efficiently and were very accomodating of my husband, who was recuperating from surgery in the next room. They cleaned up completely when the work was done. I was especially impressed that they were able to remove and replace the countertop and 5" backsplashes without damaging the existing ceramic tile walls above the backsplashes, tiles which would have been difficult to replace. I highly recommend Pyramid to anyone with a similar job to mine.

This is a wonderful company. The employees are prompt, extremely nice and well mannered; they are extremely knowledgeable; and they do excellent work. As previously mentioned, this is a one stop shop. There is no need to go anywhere else, however, if you want you are able to purchase items (for example the sink and faucet) elsewhere. I was very nervous starting this project. For me it was a bit overwhelming. Pyramid held my hand throughout the whole project and answered all of my many questions always with a smile. Special thanks to Claudia, Batt and Jorge.

Company looked promising. We spent quite a bit a time having them give an estimate but then they changed the estimate pricing when coming back. First the main owner came in then the main technicians and both gave a different estimate. He said that they would have to put a wood panel in which would raise the price from the original estimate by a substantial amount.

The existing cabinet was way too weak to support granite countertop! Needed extensive amount of work to secure that it was sturdy enough to handle the weight of granite. The safety of our clients is of the first and foremost importance to us! Unfortunately, the client refused to pay for the additional work that were necessary. We really do everything that we can to accomodate our customers' needs!

Some years back we had a very expensive custom kitchen remodeling job. Instead of letting the general contractor use his granite supplier and installer, we subbed it out on our own. One counter was done very poorly and we decided to replace it. Based on Consumer Checkbook and Angie's list, I got a few estimates. We went to Pyramid's showroom, where George, the manage (not owner), waited on us. We started to replace two counter tops but then changed our minds and decided to replace only one. Throughout, George was a pleasure to deal with. He let my wife pick the slab and the part of the slab that she wanted. Although their porices were neither the highest nor the lowest they are on the high end. Therefore, I negotiated a slight price adjustment, still with the total being above the average estimate, but fair for what I wanted in terms of quality. I watched the trio of young Mongolian installers do the job. I was impressed with their professionalism. My wife, who is more of a perfectionist and a better observer, found a few flaws with the installation at the inside of the sink and with some small imperfections (pock marks) in the stone. I called Pyramid and within a few days the problems were corrected.

I probably visited 4 granite suppliers/fabricators before I settled on a purchase from Pyramid Granite LLC. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. There were no high pressure sales or long waits. I asked if there was an Angie's List discount and got 10% off directly from the owner. They were able to install the granite 1 week after deposit, but told me they could do a quicker turnaround if necessary. They did not template, instead used a tape measure and a notebook. I was concerned that templating would be more accurate but they did a great job fabricating it. They were careful and clean in my house and did the job quickly and professionally. They cut a slot in the drywall to get a perfect fit. My contractor told me that is standard practice, and the cut was not noticeable and is now covered by a tile back splash. There are two minor things that I should mention. First, the granite was installed over Ikea base cabinets. The day of the install, they needed my contractor to cut part of the cabinet that sat under the sink so the undermount sink would fit. We were not aware that there would need to be any modifications to the cabinets for the sink to fit. My contractor did not have the proper saws to do the cut. Luckily he improvised and it all worked just fine. It may have been that if the contractor was absent, the pyramid folks would have cut the cabinet themselves, but deferred to the contractor because he was on site. The other thing has to do with the granite itself. Kashmir white is a beautiful granite that is also extremely porous. Even though the granite looked as though it had been resined and the pyramid folks applied a typical sealer after installation, water left on the surface of the granite after 2 minutes would leave a dark spot. Then eventually it would dry out. I was concerned that oil or other substances would permanently stain. After some exhaustive research I discovered a sealer that is a one time only permanent sealer, the same sealer used in the Sensa Granite available at home depot. It was a $150 investment but it works incredibly well, and was a one time only application. No more water marks! The sealer's name is Senguard. Google countertop specialties if interested. When I asked the pyramid folks about the light granites in general, I got a "no problem with them" kind of response. I don't think they were trying to mislead me, I think they were just unaware of the peculiarities of Kashmir white. I feel like it was my responsibility to research such a large investment on my own in any case. Overall they were great with a excellent price, easy to deal with, great installation. I love my countertops!
Description of Work: They fabricated and installed approximately 37 square feet of Kashmir white 3cm granite counter top in my renovated kitchen. They installed a standard size undermount sink with the counter top. My contractor did the plumbing connections.

I visited their warehouse looking for a specific marble. They did not have it but when I told them which one I wanted, they offered to get it from the particular supplier where I had seen the marble. They sent me the estimate promptly after I had picked out the slab and I was shocked to see it was half the price of the previous fabricator I had been to! They came to measure when we were ready and installed the marble when they said they would. They did a wonderful job! They were extremely agreeable to work with and delivered high quality work at a reasonable price. I would definitely use them again for marble and granite installations.

It was a very tough call to choose the Pyramid competitor. Pyramid did a great job with the estimate and I am confident they would have done a good job on our counter. In terms of price, Pyramid was the lowest (by less than $100 on a $2000 job). I felt as if the other company did a ***slightly*** better job of going over details when they came to take the measurements. When you read the following, please recognize that I gave Pyramid straight A's and I do plan to have them quote future work for me. Pyramid has the business model of only doing measurements at your house, then you go to their showroom to create the quote and decide what you want. I preferred the other company because they discussed the options in my home while taking the measurements (although we still had to go to the showroom to make final decisions). They also brought samples that I could look at in my house, with my cabinets, flooring, and appliances. Finally they raised some very subtle design features to make the counter superb. Pyramid did not address these features without prompting. Truth be told, had I not heard about them from the first company, I probably never would have thought of them or noticed them...but that is what swayed me from the slightly lower priced Pyramid.

Pryamid Granite advised me to clean and polish my 100 year old marble rather than replace it with a new one. They could have made double the amount of money selling me a new one rather than cleaning the one I owed, Then they did an OUTSTANDING, EXCELLENT, SUPERB job cleaning and polishing the marble. They understood that this marble top had great sentimental value to me and informed me that it was a good piece of marble worth saving.

They did an excellent job. They gave us a very good price and they were very responsive, and they did high quality work. There was one imperfection but they came back promptly and without complaint to fix it. They got us a really good price; instead of steering us to higher-priced products, they worked within my budget. My advice is to go straight to this place instead of shopping around at ten different places.
