Kevin did a great job and very quickly. He had a friendly, professional demeanor. He helped me to select the correct lock by reviewing Home Depot's online selections. I paid for the lock. I used his services twice before and was happy that he was available for me to hire again. I would hire him again.

The service was AMAZING. He was at my house in less than 30 minutes and had my door open in less than 10 minutes and he didn't laugh at me for closing my purse with the only key in the trunk :)

Kevin Gonzales the owner responded promptly to our request for help with a storm door that was jammed locked. He worked us into his very busy schedule (we could only exit the house from the back) and quickly got the door open. Not only did he get our door open, but he diagnosed what the problem probably was and came up with a simple temporary solution until the lock could be repaired. He told us we had two options (1) completely replace the entire door handle with a new one or (2) replace the lock body only since the both the storm door and deadbolt were still in good condition. Kevin showed us where to locate the serial number of the door and said we could order the replacement part directly from the manufacturer for a lower price than from a vendor. The manufacturer indeed was able to quickly provide the replacement lock body for only $18 and free shipping. We contacted Mr. Lockout when we received the part, and Kevin again was able to work us into their schedule and do the installation. When his job was complete he made sure all was working properly and made sure we understood how the lock worked. Kevin arrived promptly and kept us informed of his schedule - including calling 30 mins before our appointment to let us know he was on his way and notifying well in advance when he was going to be briefly delayed for the second appointment. They were very pleasant to work with, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs a locksmith. Also, the price for both unjamming the storm door and installing the new lock body was very reasonable.

Mr. Lockout has an excellent customer service attitude. He was on schedule, in fact he called me and indicated that he could come an hour early if I was available and I agreed. He had all of his tools and supplies with him when he arrived. He explained what he was doing and how my old-fashioned condo unit door lock (found on door in old condo and apartment buildings) was supposed to work. He did an excellent job. My lock functions better than it ever did almost like a new lock would. In comparing prices from other locksmiths, his was reasonable and customary. One place I contacted had refused to give me an estimate so I immediately nixed them. I will certainly use Mr. Lockout again when and if I need his services. He was excellent.

Called on a Sunday morning with a emergency lock change request. Came out a couple of hours later, re-keyed all house locks, and provided copies. Very skilled and efficient, and of course the cost reflects that. It's wonderful to have this service available, it provided us with great peace of mind.

Came 2 hours after we called. Kevin and his wife came with a very professional set of tools and got right to work. Took about 45 minutes and left us with new perfectly working locks. A very nice man and took us through the process of what he was doing step by step. Highly recommend!

We were locked out in the worst way--we had the keys and the lock itself malfunctioned, locking us out at 6 PM on a Sunday night.. We called a few locksmiths...chose Mr. Lockout because we could speak directly with Kevin, the locksmith, and he was very straight with us on how long it would take to get to our place. We were confident he'd show up and he did, as promised. He was there in half an hour. That meant a lot, since we'd gone for a walk and had little with us except a cellphone. (We borrowed the Yellow Pages from a neighbor.) After confirming the lock was malfunctioning (we had keys) he and his assistant drilled out the old lock (quite a big deal, since it was a well armored lock) and got the door open. They replaced the lock, keyed it to our keys, showed us how to work it, checked the back door lock at our request, lubricated that one, gave us tips on how to use it more effectively. They were reassuring and professional and we'd recommend Kevin and will definitely use him again, but hopefully will not need to!

As I was leaving my condo, my deadbolt lock broke. The lock ended up in the locked position but the door was open and I couldn't get the deadbolt to retract. I called six companies and this company by far sounded the best. They were the least expensive and were available. I needed someone to come that day because I couldn't close my door. Kevin came when he said he would and called ahead of time. He gave me his recommendation and made some suggestions that were very helpful. The price was on the low end of his telephone estimate even considering the extra weekend charge. I would highly recommend this company.

It was about 6pm and on our way out, as the door closed behind us, we realized the keys were not in our hand, so we were absolutely stuck. We found a number to call in our building lobby for Mr. Lockout. We had no idea what else to do. Kevin answered and I was pleased with his articulation over the phone. He arrived very promptly. It took him only a few minutes to get us back into our apartment, but prior to allowing us in, he verified our identification with our driver license. I hope I don't have to use his services again because it's not an ideal situation. I was disapointed with the price, but what else could we do? Mistakes are sometimes expensive.

Kevin was prompt and provided excellent service. The quality of the knobs that he provided is great and all of the keys work smoothly in all three locks. Will definitely call him again for any locksmith service.

Highly responsive and professional experience. I've had this type of install before, so I knew it would cost about $200, so price was competative. Called before coming, name on vehicle matched business name, made identity known and cleaned-up after service. I would recommend asking the estimated cost so that you are not surprised.

We called them, they came within a few hours and made keys for our sliding doors. Overall, a good experience.

He showed up fast, spent two hours trying to make my landlord's messed-up door work (someone had broken in at some point in the recent past, and the door had had so many locks and systems that there wasn't any wood left to screw into), and finally made a solution through creativity. I really appreciated the politeness, good customer service, and attempts to help me save what I could.

We called Mr. Lockout because our front deadbolt was not functional. We did not ask for emergency service because we had access via other doors. The technician came on a Saturday, on time, and fixed the lock. He also took time to take it apart and explain what he was doing to us. A true professional.

My daughter has only one set of car keys and she locked them in her car - a new Ford Edge. I have learned to only use contractors on Angies List so I immediately ran to the computer. Mr. Lockout was located only a few miles away. I called the number and Kevin, the owner, answered on the third ring. He took down my address and gave me an estimate of $80.00. He was at our home in less than 30 minutes and unlocked the car.

I came home from work one night and somehow my front door key (the only one I had outside of the house!) broke off in my deadbolt. I was less than thrilled to think about calling a locksmith because 1. They ain't cheap and 2. I figured it would be some creepy dude who'd then know how to get into my condo. I tried everything -- getting Home Depot to try to cut a new key from the two pieces I had, using some needle nose pliers, etc. No dice. So bit the bullet and I called Mr. Lockout based on Angie's List recs. I could not have been more pleased with Kevin's professionalism and care. He was able to arrive within the hour, and he was really nice about helping me get into my condo. He did let me know that I need to have a second (and third!) set of keys somewhere so I don't have to call him again. His wife was with him, and they both seemed genuinely happy to be helping me. It was totally refreshing to have that old school level of service with a smile -- on a cold night in December no less. I hope I will not need a locksmith again (my keys are with several friends now), but if I ever do -- I know who I am calling. And all my freinds have heard about my fantastic locksmith as well. Call Mr. Lockout. You can't go wrong.

I had the person meet my wife at the house. Seemed to have no problems getting service though seemed a little expensive to unlock a door.

The work was done efficiently and quickly.

After calling two other locksmiths with good Angie's List ratings to no avail (one didn't pick up and still hadn't called us back - 12 hours later - and the other was a regional chain that didn't call us back for 30-45 mins), we called Mr. Lockout. Kevin answered the call within three or four rings (late on a Friday night) and then proceeded to ask intelligent questions to figure out exactly what the problem was before he came out. After showing up within the time frame he gave us over the phone (20 mins), Kevin went right to work trying to remove the broken/jammed lock-set. Throughout the entire time he was working, Kevin was explaining what was happening/wrong and very open to our questions. After removing the offending piece and replacing it, Kevin made sure both the knob lock (the broken part) and the deadbolt were working properly. He even greased them both up to make them easier to use.

He was very professional and all around I was very pleased.

We requested a change in locks in all doors and the installation of two deadbolts in the basement and kitchen doors. Agreed to come in same day, provided extra copies, very courteous service. Cleaned kitchen well, left basement somewhat messy.

Easy to reach by phone, came within 40 minutes. Polite.
