Medallion Home Improvement

We worked with Medallion to build a deck on the back of our home. They did not provide an opportunity for us to actually design the deck, even though we were told we could during the sales process. Secondly, once the deck was built, we discovered that the number of posts used to hold up the structure is completely amateurish. We've had other companies come out to make various modifications and estimates and all have mentioned that we have way too many posts under the deck. There are so many posts that our homeowners association has asked us to cover them up due to their unsightliness. Also, in a little over a year, we have a couple of boards that are starting to come up and squeak. Although we are glad that the space on the back of the house is usable, we are NOT happy with our deck or the way it looks underneath. Any contact to Medallion after they received payment has been unproductive. This was not the quality or level of work that we are happy with for the price we paid.

The installers and the job that they did was EXCELLENT. The office personnel is non-responsive. It seems like once they get paid they no longer want to comeback and make necessary repairs. It has almost been a year and we are still waiting for a few things to be fixed.
