I had used Capitol Chimney Service for about eight years on a monthly basis. Two people would come in and clean two bedrooms, two living rooms, a kitchen and 3 bathrooms. I was satisfied with their service recently I found they were missing stuff and only doing a halfway decent job. Once I found it was very poorly and I had reached out to the company before about the problem and I found it was only getting worse so I decided to find a new cleaning service.

I think a B is right on the mark for this company. I got a good deal for the price, but it fell short on the key tasks I'd requested. They were recommended by a friend who house-sat for me a couple years ago and kept the house in great shape. The price of $125 seems like a really good deal for 2 workers who spent 2 hours at our house. They arrived on the job a few minutes early and I explained my priorities. I didn't expect a house cleaning (especially so reasonably priced) to take care of every last thing, and our house had a lot of dust as a result of several months of renovations -- but I had specific tasks that had led me to hire a cleaning service. At 8 months pregnant, I wanted to avoid personally (1) scrubbing my bathroom with the chemicals that are an unfortunate necessity, (2) climbing up on a stepstool to dust the blinds, and (3) climbing under furniture to get rid of dust bunnies. I told them that the bathroom grime, blinds, and floor-vacuuming were what I really wanted done well, and that other tasks were not a priority -- such as cleaning the kitchen -- because it was in good shape from daily tidying up and cleaning. When they told me they were finished, I checked the bathroom and noticed quite a bit of grime left on the floor and the shower floor. They had cleaned about 85% of the filth out of our bathroom (neglected since my last attempt to clean without breathing in April), but there was still a lot of residue on the floor tiles and grout. At my request, they cleaned it a bit more with tools and cleaner I provided -- getting it to probably over 90% (not as clean as I would have gotten it, but passable). While talking to them about the bathroom, I ran my hand along the blinds in the living room and found that they'd left a lot of dust behind. I showed them, and they didn't react. As I was focusing on the bathroom and requesting they work on it some more at that point, I didn't ask them to revisit the dusty blinds -- as they didn't seem to interpret dust on the blinds as something they wanted to correct, I had already decided I wouldn't hire them again, and was looking forward to the departure of their slightly sullen attitudes. There is also a fair amount of dust under the couches. In short, I wanted to do the rest myself, pot belly and balance issues aside, rather than explain to them that they hadn't fulfilled what I'd asked. The bottom line is that I definitely got $125 worth of cleaning, but I didn't get what I'd explained I wanted. So, I can't complain too much -- I just would rather go with another company that does what I want, and whose workers take some pride in doing a thorough job. Because I found myself standing on my couch doing my own blinds after they left, I wish I'd gone with someone else, even if the price had been a bit more.

Found them on craigslist (forgot about Angie's list)...called the owner on Thursday...Jessy the owner seemed great on the phone and scheduled to have a crew on Monday morning. Two woman arrived on time (between 8-8:30)...but after that it was all downhill. I mistakenly left them unattended (while i took my kids to preschool). When i arrived 1 hour later they were already done with the top two floors (mind you my house is 4500 sq feet with 5.5 bathrooms). I went upstairs they had not changed my sheets, my bed looked like my three year old made it, I picked up the rugs and found trash underneath, sinks had toothpaste on it...really? I asked the ladies about it and they didn't speak good english so i ended up calling Jessy. I asked the ladies to please come upstairs so that I could show them what needed to be done. I literally ended up remaking beds, re cleaning up and following them around for 1 hour until Jessy arrived. When she arrived, I walked her through the house laying out my expectations. She agreed and indicated that she had received complaints about this particular crew. She confronted the ladies in spanish about the situation. The ladies rebutted and called me a LIAR. What they didn't know is that I grew up in a spanish speaking home...and I understood. I was so appalled by their blantant lies and rudeness and asked them to leave. Jessy asked me to pay them for their services they did complete because the ladies claimed they got here at 7am. Again more lies. I don't know if i was more shocked how untruthful these ladies were or that Jessy asked me to pay them. I was beyond insulted and would not recommend them to anyone...definitely not worth the headache or the time/energy to follow them...i don't enjoy micromanagement. And frankly I'm a little nervous that they know where i live...ugh.

They do a good job and are reasonably priced.

Jessy's service used to be excellent. It was a family run company. On a positive note, I do not question the honesty of Jessy's personnel. On the negative, in recent years, the quality has gone steadily downhill. They are not punctual--sometimes they are early sometimes late--almost always without calling. They rush through the house as quickly as they can, misplacing things along the way. I never know which cleaners are coming. I wish Jessy would return to the standards she had before.

I have used them many times. They always do a great job. One time I was unhappy with the way my bathroom and master bedroom were cleaned (it was not done in the normal way). So I sent an email. I got a phone call back within a few hours and they came back the next day, no charge and made it right. The price is fantastic ($80) and then I give a tip. They are prompt and clean around my dogs, which is really nice! They bring their own supplies and equipment. The only downside is that most of the time none of the cleaning team speak English. So I learned that if I had a special request, that I emailed it to Jessy first and then it got done. Trying to communicate it to them during the session didn't work for me.

Made contact through website for housecleaning estimate. Still no response after one week, either by phone or email. I don't know if this is an indicator of their responsiveness to existing customers, but will go elsewhere for an estimate.

I had a different cleaning service for some time, but switched to Jessy's about three months ago. There has been very noticable improvement over my last service provider. My husband even comments after every cleaning that they go above and beyond. They came highly recommended to me and I understand why so many people use this service. I give them an A +++!

I filled out their on line form to detail my house, how many rooms, etc. I requested two quotes, one for all the rooms in the house and the other to skip some of the rooms that I don't use as much. They sent me back an email with a quote for both scenarios and a list of all the items they clean. The price looked great and I emailed them back right away saying that I was extremely interested. I told them I would like to have the first cleaning as soon as possible. I also sent instructions that the landlord of my house gave me for specific cleaning instructions. They were seemingly really basic such as; no Murphy's on the wood floors; no abrasives on the coriander; just water on the glass cook top; self cleaning oven, etc. They wrote me back and said: "Good evening dear {my name} Sorry but we can not do the house cleaning service. Have a nice day and great week!!!" I was totally perplexed and I wrote them back asking if I may ask why. I wanted to know was it something about the instructions. They never responded back to me. I subsequently joined Angie's list and found another company. I am looking forward to having them clean my house for the first time this week. They didn't have any problems with the instructions and they really do seem pretty basic. I found Jessy's Cleaning emails to me very unprofessional and just odd. Why they would give me the estimate and then say they can't clean my house after all? Why they wouldn't they tell me why they wouldn't clean my house?

We called on a recommendation when overwhelmed and expecting company, with no time to clean. Jessy's showed up in two days and make our home cleaner than my wildest dreams. And for a very good price.
