JAV General Contractor LLC

The project went very badly, as soon as a deposit was given they showed their colors, they would never show up when they said they would. the cabinets were delivered on a day no-one was on the job and my brother and I had to carry everything inside ourselves, no apology by JAV! they lied through their teeth about why they couldn't come baling my brother and his girlfriend because they asked for a day to discuss a change. JAV was in fact so busy on other projects that they sent a single part time subcontractor to do everything, this carpenter did electrical work as well when he wasn't licensed, in fact they did not take any permits out at all and still did all the work, they claimed that the permits would cost a lot and slow the project down. JAV is comprised of this guy who claims to be an electrician, a plumber and an engineer and his girlfriend who claims to be a design specialist, their design was a pencil drawing on my brother's kitchen walls, thats it. in the end JAV gave a small discount to stop and walk away, they threaten to take us to court and all but they knew they would loose, my brother will have to rip out most of what they did, the tile work is all crooked and uneven, the cabinet doors all off kilter, scratched up thresholds, crooked doorways, there was so much wrong with this job I just have to say it was sloppy, unsupervised work. There is no customer service with this company of two, if they don't like you they will take a week or two off from your job, then they will uncharge you for everything. they are quick to blame everything on the customer or the old walls or floors, never mind its a total remodel and they are the ones who installed the walls and floors, they still blame the house, yes they blamed the house! this company is unbelievable, my brother agreed not to write a review because of a small discount but as I was involved I have to say that no discount was worth the trouble he went through.
