Hailer's crew was fantastic! The first time they helped me pack and move from my childhood home. Needless to say, it was packed. I had boxes but grossly underestimated the number needed for the job. Hailers crew came prepared by furnishing packing paper, tape, numerous size boxes and protected my furniture with pads. They thought of everything. They were friendly, courteous and professional. They placed the furniture quickly and carefully in the new home. The second time they helped me move my mother. I counted on them to do the entire move. They packed everything carefully and delivered it to her new place. Once there they unpacked and help make her new home picture perfect for her. I have just finished using Hailer Transfer for the third time in one year. They are still number one in my eyes.

Pro: rates lower than others, Randall and Moe are A+ movers who went above and beyond (took door off to get couch in, got dresser up a narrow staircase), and Quway is experienced but was a big problem. Con: Minor damages, one missing item, and ultimately reimbursed but did not get a check until I said I would contact the BBB. Major problem: Quway broke off the front door knob, went into a rage when I asked for damage to be recorded, screamed and insulted me, accused me of "framing him"; Pat was courteous in follow-up, but took several weeks to resolve; move scheduled for 9am, but called and changed time to 12pm, didn't show up until 1pm, resulted in the move taking longer because of afternoon traffic, Madora said she would take this off the bill, but when I brought it up she said I was "nagging" her. If I could hire Randall and Moe alone, I would do it; Pat is a good guy but slow; Madora and Quway get an F. Seems like they are good when things go smoothly; poor in handing problems.

The dispatcher was courteous, helpful and easy to adjust to my schedule. The three men were polite, friendly and extremely competent. This is family run business and a pleasure to work with. They specialize in regional moves in the MD, VA, DC area, but they do long distance transcontinental and East Coast moves as well. I would use them again. The cost was 30% below other bids without negotiating.
