Jon was terrific -- he responded quickly, was able to fix a problem that needed to be taken care of quickly, and he came back to handle a couple of other tasks that didn't need immediate repair. He was knowledgeable, quite competent, friendly, and his fees were very reasonable. I highly recommend him!

John was the only handyman who responded. He texted that he would be on our area this morning, so we asked him to come. He was very courteous and let me know when he would arrive. In addition to the turntable cabinet repair, my husband found another few items. His price was extremely reasonable and we’re going to have him do some other work.

Excellent working with John. We negotiated a timeliness for the repairs, agreed on cost, and kept in contact via text messages. He started work on time, let me know when a minor delay occurred matching paint color, and finished the job the same day as started. The work was well done and was 100% what was needed, with no up-selling. I would definitely hire John again and put his business card on my fridge JIC the need comes up!

Great. John was courteous, organized, and a good communicator. Work was very reasonably priced and he took time and care to make sure it looked great despite it being more difficult than initially thought due to ductwork overhead.

I had a mold issue in my basement of my rental property and the company we used to remediate did not restore the 10’x4’ hole they left in my wall when they were done. It was outside their scope of service. I called several contractors who quoted as high as $5000 to repair the wall and some who flat out said the job was too small and would not do it. I called Mr. Evans and he graciously worked with me to find a solution to repair the wall and charged a very reasonable amount for the work. He pointed out that the original drywall was directly attached to the cinder block basement wall and suggested it be framed properly to allow moisture to dissipate. He framed out, replaced the drywall, and repainted the entire wall to match. You couldn’t even tell the difference and I had a nice little shelf wall afterwards. I also had him fix a ceiling fan that wasn’t working. He found it was a fan switch issue and was a small part easily replaced. He saved me from having the whole fan replaced! Mr. Evans is honest, reliable, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I highly recommend him and will definitely keep his number handy.

John is fantastic - I cannot recommend him enough. He did some drywall work for me back in December 2016 (I forgot to post a review for that - but the project went very well), and he was able to help me replace a broken door lock (which prevented me from safely locking my front door to my home) the same evening, within 1.5 hours of me messaging him. It does help that he lives in the neighborhood next to me - even if that wasn't the case, I would recommend him without hesitation for any handyman repairs.

Jon, did great work from start to finish - estimating costs, arriving as scheduled, and quickly making the right repair to resolve this issue. I appreciate the great communication we had making this an easy repair to schedule and accomplish.

Jon was great. He was able to pull the door trim away and fix the door hinge without damaging the drywall. Once the trim was off we saw that the construction workers never installed the door properly. There was no wood behind the door frame for the hinge to anchor. Jon was able chisel enough space to add wood and anchor the hinge properly. He replaced the trim and caulk, and said he could repaint. He did such I good job, I saw no reason to paint anything, he didn't damage the trim or drywall. The door works perfectly now.

Jon did a fantastic job reattaching pieces of decorative brick back on to the side of my home. He did fabulous work blending in the broken pieces with the original brick that I can't tell where the damaged pieces had been. Jon was great with communication keeping me informed of the progress of the job. He was very professional, dependable, prompt and if he said he would do something he would do it. Jon even went out of his way to make sure a downspout was properly draining away from the house.

Jon recalled a shower pan in Nov and did an excellent job. I also had him look at damaged grout on kitchen and bath floors. He said that he didn't think he was the right person for that job and recommended someone else. In Feb I had him replace and repair drywall in my basement ceiling after a water leak and plumbing repair. Jon did an excellent job and even redid one small section that was not up to his standards at no charge. He repaired some balloons too. All of Jon's work has been excellent. He has high standards and isn't satisfied with anything less. He is very pleasant and answers calls fairly quickly. We will certainly use him for all our small projects from now on.

This is the second time I have used Evan's Home Improvement and would certainly use them in the future. Jon replaced some rotten wood on a backyard fence, including staining the wood. He also replaced the rotten wood trim around my garage with a composite material that will not rot. All work was outstanding including painting and clean up of the site. I appreciate that he arrived as scheduled and completed all work on time. Costs were very reasonable. I would highly recommend him.
