Dream Home Remodeling replaced my roof due to damage caused by a hails storm. They helped me every step of the way from the initial inspection, to contacting and working with the insurance company, choosing the new roof , and the actual install. They have been very professional and helpful. The day of the install they arrived at 6:45 ready to get started on a very hot day. They had the roof finished by about 1:30. They did a great job of cleaning up afterwards and were respectful of our plants and property. I would and have recommend them to anyone looking to have a new roof installed.

MIke from Dream Home came out and showed me all the color choices for the new roof. He actually took a picture of my house and showed me how the different colors would look on my roof. He reviewed all the products offered. I chose to have a new roof as well as new gutters. The team installed the roof quickly and it looks great. I am very pleased. Everything went very smoothly. I would recommend them to anyone.

from the moment i met the sales man Mike, i was a bit skeptical. his presentation was great his prices were great and the products were truly quality. so i listened and told him i would get back to him. about 2 months went by and i got several other estimates from all over for the same work and nothing came close, some were astronomical. so i got back in touch with mike and contracted him to do my daughters house roof and front jut out first, he beat every one elses price on that too. his team came and went in one day and the job was amazing. he kept in touch with me the whole time and even put up a new gutter no charge. the crew cleaned up everything. about a week later we had some damaging winds and hail and her roof sustained some damage, we called him and he sent his team right over within hours to fix it and have not had a problem since. they were so goood, i contracted him to do mine at an unbelievable price for all and when they started the project, fist the roof guys came then a few days later the window s and doors went in then the siding guys came and within a few weeks i have a whole new house and the quality is outstanding as well the professionalism i received from the crews. i highly recommend them. oh i forgot to say that mike even offered to finance it at a very very low rate but i did get my own financing which too a little while to get but he never bugged me about any of that , he never brought up payment , even after the job was done. after the final walk thru, which is when i could not find anything wrong, i gladly wrote the check. i am very happy with my new home and dream home remodelers

I contacted DREAMHOME Remodeling in February for an estimate on a new patio. They came out right away and were able to price the job on the spot in about 45 minutes! This was a small job for them but they treated us like it was a huge project. The attention to detail and professionalism that they displayed is hard to come by these days! They handled my HOA and called Miss Utility before they started digging. The job was completed in 2 days and they updated me on the status throughout the process. I would highly recommend them to my friends and neighbors!

From the initial contact Dreamhome Remodeling was responsive and listened to exactly what we wanted. They came out ON TIME and were very professional on the first visit. The design consultant John was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He had a large portfolio with a lot of really nice photos of jobs that they had built with a long list of references. They were able to come up with a design that captured all of our ideas and some that we never thought of as well. We had prices from other companies in 2013 when we moved in but we weren't ready. This time around none of the other companies we contacted even called us back! Dreamhome Remodeling came in with a price that was fair and we contracted with them. Right away they contacted Miss Utility, and submitted the paperwork to our HOA so we could make the next meeting which was 4 days after we signed! Then they obtained the building permit and a week after the HOA approval they got started. There were several days that the guys couldn't work because it rained on and off but when the weather was good they were onsite working sun up to sun down! The workers were polite and neat and very meticulous. I had constant communication throughout from the foreman and it was a very pleasant experience! I cant say enough about this company. We are planning to use them again in the future for window replacement and a front walkway to match our patio.

We have used this company in the past to replace windows and were satisfied with the installation and follow-on service when it was needed. I set up an estimate and Andrew and Austin came to my home on time, inspected the roof, and then we sat down to go through the estimate process and the manufacture's product. The estimate was within the window I projected it to be. I was contacted by Anthony a few days later and we agreed on a date for materials to be delivered, install date, and final inspection date. The materials were delivered on time but the install date slipped by a day due to weather. On the revised install date, the crew started at 7 am to begin the project. I met the supervisor, whose name I can't recall. Tarps were placed in the front and back of the house to collect debris. The job was completed in one day as promised and the clean up was complete. The workers circled the house a few times just to make sure everything was clean. Andrew dropped by to check up on things and returned a few days later for final inspection. All appeared to be in order. There has been rain since the installation and there are no leaks. We have received complements from neighbors on how nice the new roof looks and the clean up afterwards.

This was the third and most extensive job that I have had with Dream Home Remodeling. It was finally time to replace original wood windows in my 1907 house. The windows had major gaps from age and were noticeably drafty in the winter. Immediately after installation, my house was quieter and better insulated. I can already tell the temperature difference and look forward to the energy savings. Working with Dream Home on a project is a straight-forward, easy process. They always provide a thorough, fair estimate, and communicate regularly to schedule measuring and installation. On the day of installation, the workers arrived on time, maintained a clean work area, and completed the job with high quality workmanship. The workers were courteous and conscientious in my home and completed an extensive job replacing 12 windows within one day. I absolutely recommend Dream Home Remodeling for all your windows, doors, insulation, and siding work.

My BF scheduled an appmt for an estimate, while he was browsing at a Home Show at the Dulles Expo. They pressured him to make an appmt. Worse yet, when the guy came out, which was a Thursday night,, possibly named Doug, he arrived at the appointed time, but kept pressuring my BF non-stop to commit to attic insulation. As soon as I overheard the price quoted for over $8k and wanted him to sign a document, I felt that it was time for him to go. My BF insisted that he wanted to think about it, the sales guy couldn't take "No" for an answer. It's like he refused to leave, unless he made a sale. In fact, the sales guy gave my BF a document with people's names and phone number on it. The sales guy insisted on my BF calling the people listed on the document to inquire about their satisfaction of their services. One phone number listed was disconnected and the other caller said he wasn't interested, indicating that he wasn't a customer at all. @ 7:30pm on a Thursday night, no one wants to talk to my BF about attic insulation done by this company.. Most ppl are arriving home from work, making dinner, attending to their kids & sorting through mail. By the time the sales guy left, my BF was mentally exhausted and just wanted to eat dinner & settle down for the night. .

Ok, we hired this company to do our siding, and after 2 year, there are now signs that things are deteriorating. Have leakage from weak caulk, which is causing water to drip into places it shouldn't be going. We also had them install new windows around the upper floor, and one of those windows won't stay up without us putting a stick to hold it. Total cost of those 2 installations around $20,000. Next, wanted a new roof. They said that the gutter guards that had to be installed with the new siding, which didn't get done at time of installation, needed to go in with the new roof. That was 1.5 years ago. We then gave them business to install 2 custom doors, which took over 3 months from to have the job done from initial contact to installation. Just last week we were doing a remodel of our garage, and in the process, found several areas where boards were cracked and/or broken, and we never were notified when they were putting the roof on. They just put the membrane over these defects hoping we wouldn't see them. I emailed the owner, Lenny, on January 11, 2016, with photos, and have yet to hear from him. BOTTOM LINE: I would never use this company again, and will advise anyone else looking to choose another company. They are just a middleman for products, and really don't stand behind their work. The quality of their work is sub par. The owner is fantastic salesman, but horrible at communication and follow through. Not a reliable company at all.

Very poorly. I have to start out by saying the lady who has answered my calls and emails (Ashley) has been extremely responsive, but all she can do is pass on the messages. Either something is very broken at DreamHome or this is systemic and they only pay lip service to the service warranty information they offer up when getting you to sign on the dotted line. The Problem DreamHome installed Cedar Ridge solid core siding at my home for the previous owners of the house. The railings on the front porch were very close to the house, so the installer had to wedge it in behind the railings to fit. To do so, the installer cut both the siding and the jchannel and didn't do a good job of sealing the area where some of the cuts were made. Fast forward several years, the railings rusted onto the siding and water entered the improperly sealed cuts, flowing behind the siding into my basement. This allowed an avenue for carpenter ants to come in and chew through the wood and cause damage that was invisible until I began investigating the musty, mildew smell that we would get in the house anytime it rained. Additionally, the water seepage allowed mold to grow inside the sections of the walls going into the basement that correspond to the width of the porch. I've ripped the walls out in the basement and can confirm the steps I've taken to remediate the water flow have been successful to date. To finish the job (at least on the outside of the house) I need to have the siding attended to properly as this is the entrance to my house and a) need to have a true fix, not a workaround and b) it will have an impact if we ever sell it. How Things Have Gone I started this saga by giving DreamHome a call on Friday, 02-Oct-2015 at 4:07 PM. I spoke with Ashley and explained that I wanted to talk to someone about getting siding for a repair and she offered to send me to the Project Manager's voicemail since they were all offsite at a convention that day. I agreed to that and left a message with all of my contact info. I never received a call back. I called back several weeks later on Monday, 26-Oct-2015 and spoke with Ashley again. I explained that I had called a few weeks prior and never got a call back, but this time provided further detail as to the issue I'm facing and she told me that she would need to research the files because the work was done so long ago that the info regarding it was not in the computer. This was around noon. She called me back at 4:51PM that same day and let me know a) the color of the siding as it was not recorded on the contract and b) that she would enter a service request for me and that someone should be getting back in contact. I did not hear from anyone, so I sent a follow-up email on Thursday, 05-Nov-2015 informing her of that. She responded the next day 06-Nov-2015 @ 2:45 PM to say that they would be sending a service tech out on Tuesday afternoon (10-Nov-2015) to look at the issue and that she would make sure that it would be added to the tech's schedule. I was off of work 10-Nov-2015 to 13-Nov-2015, but to my knowledge never had anyone come to the house during that time. Since the problem is on the outside, I figured that perhaps the tech came by and took stock of the situation, but never actually knocked on the door. I sent another follow up email on 13-Nov-2015 to see what the status was and never heard back from a tech. Last Friday, 20-Nov-2015 @ 10:51 AM I sent yet another email to her requesting an update and asking if this is the typical experience of customers who are acting on a service request. Here is my final email. Ashley, Does it typically take this long to get some sort of response out of your people? It's been almost a month since you put in a ticket for me, and even longer since I originally contacted you guys about this. What is the hold up? As I mentioned when we first spoke, my primary issue is that I need to have a section of siding on the front porch replaced because it is both stained and damaged. There is a second piece on the side of my house that was damaged likely due to a projectile being thrown when the community landscapers were doing work. The problem with the siding in the front of the house is that it was wedged behind the railings to fit when it was installed. The installer cut both the siding and the jchannel in order to get it to fit, and didn't do a good job of sealing the area where some of the cuts were made. Fast forward several years, the railings rusted onto the siding and water entered the improperly sealed cuts, flowing behind the siding into my basement. This allowed an avenue for carpenter ants to come in and chew through the wood and cause damage that was invisible until I began investigating the musty, mildew smell that we would get in the house any time it rained. It turns out the water seepage allowed mold to grow inside the sections of the walls going into the basement that correspondto the width of the porch. I've ripped the walls out in the basement and will be dealing with that, but can confirm the steps I've taken to remediate the water flow have been successful to date. In our initial conversation I only mentioned that the siding needs to be fixed, but I'm telling you all of this now so that you have a clear picture of the totality of the issue. I'm not asking, and as you can attest have not asked, for any assistance beyond the siding since Dreamhome a) contracted for the original installation and b) are one of few suppliers of it. I plan on having someone take care of the other repairs, but need you guys to uphold your end of the siding contract which states "Dreamhome will cover any service or replacement for life." It looks like 20ft of siding and 30 inches of channeling should be sufficient to complete all repairs. I'm in Virginia 3 days a week and can even come pick the stuff up myself, I just need to hear something back! What gives? She replied back that afternoon at 3:56PM to say "...our project manager who is in charge of the services to touch base with the service technician. He or myself will reach out to you today before 5:15 to update you on next steps." That call never came.
Description of Work: Some of the required questions don't accurately capture the experience, so I'll elaborate in the free-form fields. The short of the story is DreamHome installed Cedar Ridge solid core siding at my home somewhere between the end of Q4 of 2004 and the end of Q1 of 2005. Some sections of the siding now require repair/replacement that should be covered under their service agreement, but I have yet to have any interaction with someone who does the work after over a month of calling and emailing. I've read all of the reviews on Angie's List regarding this company, and there are a couple others who have had an experience similar to mine. The December 11, 2014 could possibly be in question out as they did dispute it and there doesn't seem to have been rebuttal, but the April 10, 2013 reviews sounds like what I've experienced, minus anyone getting back to me regarding actual service.

The issue in question here had nothing to do with our work performed for the previous owner in 2005. We regret that this review was posted with such emphasis on our ability to handle our services. There is no excuse that you feel we did not respond to your concern in a timely manner and for that we apologize. We did send a technician out and took photos of the issue which was caused by replacement of the railing by either the previous owner or Mr. [Member Name Removed] Sometime after 2005. The new railing that was used has a different dimension than the one we worked around in 2005. This was brought to the attention of the current homeowner as soon as we found out and we offered to help with correcting the issue that was created. We never heard back until this review was posted. If you still are in need of our assistance feel free to contact us and we will provide a scenario to help resolve your issue.

Found out from the Sales Ambassador from D.C. Metropolitan area from James Hardie that although Dream Home advertises that they are a James Hardie preferred contractor, actually they are not. James Hardie preferred contractors get specific training and a James Hardie representative inspects the installation to make sure it was installed correctly. James Hardie siding is difficult to install. If not installed correctly it can void the manufacturers warranty.
Description of Work: We told them we wanted the James Hardie siding, but he sent out a vinyl rep. instead and gave us a tentative estimate. Said he would have to check with the Hardie Rep. Said the roof would be $16,000 and the siding would be approximately $14,000.

Lenny Scarola came to the house and explained his company, demo?d the windows, walked us through the process and the pricing. Once we agreed, his team went to work. They came and did the detailed measurements and when the windows arrived they came and installed them all in one day. They were professional, clean and left no trash behind. It was a great experience from beginning to end and we will use them in the future for future remodeling work.

We used this company over seven years ago to replace all of the windows and exterior doors of our home. Since the installation, we have enjoyed a quieter environment and much much lower utility bills. All was well until around Christmas when we noticed that some of the windows had experienced seal failure and condensation was forming between the layers. At first, we though it was ice and or tree sap on the exterior of the windows. As the spring thaw (and cleaning) began, we realized that was not the case. I called Dream Home in early April and requested a warranty replacement as there was a lifetime warranty in place when the windows were purchased and installed. Everyone I talked to at Dream Home was polite and professional from the initial call to Ashley and eventually Michelle in installations. I found out that the original manufacturer of the windows was no longer in business and another company had purchased the assets. However, Dream Home was able to purchase replacements from the new manufacturer at a deep discount and would install at no labor charge to me. My cost was very minimal considering the scope of the work done. After a scheduling conflict, all were installed today professionally by Dan and his assistant. The total time from my initial call to replacement was about 30 days, not bad. I would not hesitate to use Dream Home again and may do so for a new roof in the near future.

We considered two roof providers before we settled on Dream Home because of its seemingly high quality and modern roofing materials. Plus, Dream Home could do the job at a significantly lower price than its competitor. We were a little nervous choosing the smaller, newer roofer but soon discovered that this was an excellent company. The roofing crew arrived as scheduled early on a Monday morning. A large separate truck, which transported the materials, wanted to park on our driveway. But when we asked them not to because we feared for our 25-year old driveway; they readily accommodated us and parked on the street. The six-man installation crew, led by Guillermo, proved to be hard-working and very capable. Large plastic tarps were placed in strategic spots around the perimeter of the house; these were used to catch the old roofing materials being removed from the roof high above. While their aim wasn't always perfect, nothing was damaged "down below," and when it came time to clean up, the task went quickly and was done thoroughly. Most importantly, the crew did a very professional installation of our new onyx black roof, which now looks terrific. (Our neighbors and others have told us so!) Unlike a lot of home improvement episodes, this one went smoothly in all regards. Kudos to the owner, Mike Eaton, who did such a great job of helping us navigate the details of a new roof, and for offering a price that resulted in savings of 20-25% relative to the competing offer. Guillermo and his team were also stellar. One would be foolish not to consider this company if in the market for a new roof!

Mike came out and walked us through the whole process beforehand. They completed the roof replacement in one day and cleaned up everything very well.

Our insurance ended up paying for most of it which made it really nice. They contacted us because I guess they had some other clients as we had hailstorm back in the summer. Our insurance was paying for the siding to be replaced that had been damaged in hailstorm. We had this really old aluminum siding which we didn't even know and they came out and showed us that the dark marks were actually dents from hail. We didn't know that and so we weren't planning on replacing the siding because it is so expensive. They gave us information that we weren't actually picking out and it worked out well. The price was comparable. The quality of work was very good.
Description of Work: We used Dream Home for siding.

I was really very happy with them. They did a professional job of installing. They came in and they cleaned up after themselves. When they had a problem, they explained the problem clearly. There was a problem with the thread because it was not properly installed before. So they explained the problem, fixed that and did a high quality job.
Description of Work: We had our windows replaced by Dream Home Remodeling.

Was very happy at first, but now have found issues. Emailed owner on 1-11-16, and to date no response. There are flaws which are causing water issues to our house.
Description of Work: Installed new roof.
