Mike met with us to go over the items and then delivered an extimate. We discussed and added a couple of items, and the work was performed as promised. We were very satisfied with the quality and the price, and will not hesitate to call them again for future needs.
Description of Work: We had several items done by Distinct Remodel: Plumbing - replace a faucet Millwork and Trim - install mantal Doors and Trim - replace folding doors with sliding doors Interior Walls - remove folding doors and finish drywall Electrical - replaced fixtures and added light fixture on stairwell. This company is to highly priced for the work they would like to do.
Description of Work: They gave me an estimate for repair on drywall. They will repair the seems on the two bedroom and one bathroom of drywall and painting. The estimate is $1,480. This does not included labor. The labor for painting would be $750. They also wanted to charge me for replacing light bulbs. He also listed company overhead, profit. In total, $1,200 would be in addition to the original quote plus materials!

I believe there was a total misunderstanding of the scope of work. I was referred to this job from a property management company so any lack of communication would have been between the client and property management company. We are always responsive whether via email, txt msg, or phone calls. The drywall estimate work included labor despite what was mentioned in this review. The whole house painting was a very competitive price. We never received a call to discuss the estimate in the detail provided and we don't appreciate the rating for work we did not provide based on our understanding of the scope of work which also included repairing carpeting, light fixtures, bathroom trim and plumbing, and fence repairs. The light bulb replacements would have surely been free, the estimate showed "MATERIALS" for the new Lithonia 24" T8 fluorescent fixture that the property manager suggested we replace. No, we could not give away materials for free. We gave an honest estimate for what it would take to make the home right given the significant drywall repairs that we felt were needed and state of the home.
