Reliable, efficient and professional just as written on their estimate. I called during off-hours to request an estimate and left a voice mail. Received call back soon after and explained that I wanted an estimate to remove a tree. The estimate that included several options (removal/grind/add top soil/etc.) was left at my home on the same day. I called back a couple days later to request the work to be completed. I received a courtesy call the day before they were going to do the work. When I came home from work the next day the tree was gone and there was no evidence that they were even there except for the bill was in my mail slot. The tree was very close to a window and I was a little worried about that but nothing was damaged or disturbed.

Decided to contract with a competitor, but Mr. Kronz's estimate was both timely and an acceptable price.

I was pleased from the beginning, Owner walked around yard with me and we discussed the job. Estimate was lower than two other vendors. Workers arrived on time ,rang bell as requested so I could secure my dogs. Did work efficiently and cleaned up. Couldn't have gone better

5th time I have used this group and I always have a great experience. Returned call and had a quote within 24 hours. Had a time restraint on when I needed the work completed that conflicted with when they had me scheduled. They moved their schedule around so I could get the work completed timely.

We have an old very large maple in a small Old Town back garden. Over 25 years ago, another tree service put steel cables in the tree to give it more support. One of the cables snapped this summer and was dangling with a big chunk of wood on the end. Dad's Tree Service handled everything perfectly, as always, from my call to the office to inspection of the tree and quote, to completion of the work. Sadly, a major large leader branch of the trunk had to be removed due to rot. The job was completed quickly and the crew cleaned up and put our garden furniture back in place. We love this tree and Ron Kronz, Dad's owner, is the one I trust to keep it healthy. Family owned, highly professional, very friendly, superior tree knowledge and work, fair prices. The best.

From start to finish this was a first class experience. From the initial contact with a most cheerful office staff (who I believe is the owner's wife), Mr. Kronz himself (owner of the company) to the most friendly and professional crew, this transaction went flawlessly. I've had numerous jobs performed at my home by contract companies and none of them went off exactly as described. Working with Dad's Tree Service is the exception to that rule. Appointment dates and times, scope of work and price were all exactly as described and agreed. On the day the work was performed the crew set about their tasks quickly and efficiently, cleaning up every leaf and twig as they worked, My lawn and walks were spotless when the job was done and my trees look fantastic! I have some additional tree work that needs to be done and on Mr. Kronz's recommendation will be done in the late winter. There is no doubt that Dad's Tree Service will be the only vendor of choice for that job.

I thought I wanted a few trees removed from the front yard in addition to the removal of a dead tree. All the trees in my yard are 40-50 foot mature oaks and hickory trees and Ron recommended raising the canopy rather than removing more trees. At the time, it didn't sound like a big enough job for the price quoted, but I didn't realize how much stuff came out of those trees from a "mere" tree trim! They raised the bottom of the canopy to about 20 feet and it makes a noticeable difference. Ron was good to work with and the crew did a great job cleaning up and removing the dead tree and chipping all the other branches they cut (there was a bunch, and some were pretty darn big--filled the whole driveway to about chest high at one point!). The price quoted was the price I paid, and after looking at the amount of stuff they pulled out of the trees the price was right. I'd recommend them to a friend.

A large branch cracked in the snows in February. Storms in the spring made the crack worse, and it was clear that the branch had to be removed. It was about 12 inches in diameter. In addition, I cut down 5 arborvitae bushes that were broken by the snows. Dad's gave me the best price for removing the branch and grinding out the remains of the bushes. They responded quickly, came to the house and left an estimate. Once I decided to use them, they scheduled the work quickly. They arrived on time and completed the work in short order. They cleaned up everything well. I called them again this summer when one of the thunderstorms in June broke down another tree. They will do that work later this month.

I am confident that Mr. Kronz will follow through with the installation of two arborvitae on back hill; his professionalism and prompt understanding of what we wanted greatly compensated for the inadvertently over-thinned tree. His staff were all polite, took away all debris (on a VERY hot day) and even took away some piles of brush that I had already left near the back fence! I also got some very helpful advice from Ron on caring for some other shrubs and what to plant in some bare areas.

We have used Dad's before and found them knowledgable and reliable. This time was no exception. They were busy and so could not promise to do the work for four weeks - when we would be away. So they found a way to slot us in earlier. They were efficient, did excellent work, and cleaned up after they were done - and provided a 10% discount to us as a repeat customer.

I have used Dad's Tree service for many years for the maintenance of my tree. The service is excellent. They are very responsive and professional.

The worked was done in a professional manner at the agreed cost. The crew completed the work on schedule in one day.

They arrived at 8 a.m. and were finished with all the work by 11 a.m. They left the yard clean, and there were no problems or damage. The only thing I wasn't totally happy with was the price. Dad's was actually the lowest of three estimates that I got. However, my mother lives in N.C. and can get the same work done for $500. So relatively speaking, I suppose Dad's may be a fairly good value for this area, but it always amazes me that we have to pay so much more for services in the D.C. metro area just because of where we live.

came next day for estimate, but it took a long time ( about 31/2 weeks) to do he work, which is understandable, due giving priority for bigger, better paying jobs and high demand after the snow.

I requested an estimate on dealing with storm damage to my 3 magnolia trees. Ron came out soon after I called and left an estimate in my back door, as he promised. The estimate was detailed, breaking down the cost for various parts of the work. When I called a week later with a question, he was very polite and answered it.

Contacted Dad's by phone and they promptly returned my call. They came by the house the following day and left an estimate in my door. I called the next day and set up an appointment for the following week. Dad's came when they said they would and completed the job to my satisfaction.

Estimator arrived on time, as did the work crew. They did their work efficiently, quickly, and fearlessly and cleaned up the debris before leaving.

They were extremely professional when they came over to give us a quote. The quote provided by them was excellent. They showed up exactly when they said they would. They got everything done quickly and professionally. They also went the extra mile and made sure that the lawn was in perfect condition when they left. They really did a good job. I would use their services in the future too. I have recommended them to friends and everybody else.

Great experience. I was able to describe the services needed over the phone and the company came out within a couple of days and left an estimate for me. The price was very reasonable. I called to hire them and was told the work would be done in approximately three weeks. The company called a couple of days before they came out to let me know they would be there. Did a good job removing the trees and cleaning up. It was all very convenient - I never had to be home to meet them, which I really appreciated.

We originally had Dad's over to look at our giant back yard maple that was in serious need of pruning. Upon Ron's arrival, he noticed our oak tree in our front yard was dying and so advised we cut it back or remove it completely. We checked around with some other companies, but Dad's was the only one offering to trim back the tree instead of spending the extra money to remove it. There was about a three week delay, but Dad's called a few days ahead of coming--as they promised--performed the work, and left our bill in the door. It was incredibly easy, and they did a great job.

Dad's tree service had an about 3 week backlog. About a week prior to the work being performed, I was called and a time/date was set. The crew showed up on time, and efficiently and effectively cut down all three trees and grinded one stump and added topsoil per our agreement. They removed all debris and left only one small dent in our backyard (expected considering how tall/big the trees were). They filled the dent with topsoil. They were done in about 3 hours' time. I was very impressed with their work.

We had a great experience. Within 2-3 days of calling, they sent someone out to do an estimate which we didn't need to be home for. The estimate was to have a bradford pear tree trimmed and shaped. The estimate was very clear on the work to be done and they even suggested waiting about a month for the tree to finish blooming. Once we scheduled work they showed up promptly with at least 5 guys to do the job, again we didn't need to be at home. Overall great experience and felt like a fair price which included the Angie List 10% off.

I was very pleased with them because everything they said in the review of a magazine was found to be true. They gave excellent service. They came out immediately within a day and gave an estimate. I called them when the tree had to be removed and they fixed a day to complete the work. There were four workmen who arrived at 8 o'clock in the morning on the said day and immediately got to work. They had the tree down even before I could turn around to have a look. They were very polite and I certainly will recommend them. They cleaned up everything and did an outstanding job. After the services I received a mail for any future tree servicing I get a 10% discount and they need to be really commended for their services. I will still use them even if their price is slightly higher than the other estimates I received.
