The. Estimate process was most professional. The scheduling at the front office was superb and friendly. I received a same day estimate that was the lowest of three estimates. Work was scheduled. The contractor coordinated with the utilities for dig markings. The work crew called ahead of time, showed up on time and efficiently and safely conducted their work and cleaned up the site like they found it. Dad's tree service was cost effective and efficient and they did not recommend more work than what was necessary. I will use them again.

They did a very good job and they gave me a good price. During their anniversary, they sent me another ten percent coupon with no expiration date. They were very nice on the phone.

I have used Dad's Tree Service several times in the past. They are always on time, and do an excellent job. After the trees and shrubs were cut, they picked up all of the branches and hauled them off. I would recommend them to anyone.

I recently purchased a home and had a few items to to address regarding trees over hanging the roof, a small dead tree and a large pile of rotting wood behind the shed. Ron came out and gave a quote that was very competitive, and they provide an Angie's List discount so I went with them. Ron was very responsive and the tree removal and pruning went great. There was a small issue regarding the removal of the wood pile, but Ron called that evening and we discussed it. I gave him a call a few days later after I had a chance to review the situation, and Ron met me on site a few hours later. We discussed everything and Ron was eager to address all concerns. I was very pleased with his professionalism and quality of work. During the removal (it was staged over a few weeks) a small tree ~5" in diameter snapped in half and fell over top of the wood pile; even though this was not part of what we initially discussed Ron and his crew included the removal of this as part of the scope and removed it. I had a great experience working with Dad's Tree Service and will be giving them a call again!

Jordan, in the office, handled initial call quickly and efficiently. Easy and pleasant to deal with. Ron, the owner, quickly provided an estimate. Due to a snow storm and an ice storm they were unable to do the work as scheduled. Ron was very accommodating in providing several other estimates and dealing with a variety of changes at our request. When the situation cleared Ron rescheduled the work and called two days in advance to notify us when the crew would arrive. The crew arrived on time. There were no difficulties in communicating with the Latino crew. The crew was very skilled and did the work quickly and professionally. After the work and clean-up the yard was much cleaner than when they arrived. Over-all we are very pleased with their performance and would definitely hire them again.

I have used Dad's tree service in the past so I included them in requests for estimates. I got 4 estimates. One was very high and I dropped them. One did not seem to understand our needs and failed to give a usable quote. Dad's and this one were close enough that I went with Dad's based on known past performance. Dad's said it would be 3 weeks to get out to our house and would call when they would be out. They made it out 2 weeks later and called us a few days prior. I came home to find a bill in the door and had to double check to see that the work was done. It had been a rainy few days and the ground was damp but I found no trace of Dad's Tree Service being there other than the work had been done. I'm still not sure how they got the tree out of the back yard without leaving marks in the soaking wet and soggy yard. They performed all tasks to my satisfaction per our agreement and left NO sign that they were there. They may not be the absolute cheapest but they are the absolute best and worth the FEW extra bucks you spend to get quality service. I strongly recommend Dad's Tree Service. Mention you are an Angie's list member for 10% off (at least when I wrote this).

They did an excellent job on the silver maple but sorta butchered the holly tree. It was taller than my house and pyramid shaped. For some reason they topped it really short, took a huge hunk off the top and sorta turned it into a ball-shaped tree instead. Not really what I was looking for but they did it before I realized what was happening. There was only one person who could speak English on the job site and his name was George. I gave him the check and when I went to back out of the driveway I realized they have chopped the whole top off the holly tree--sorta late--couldn't glue it back. I was left wondering if the men working on the holly just plain didn't know what they were doing. George was working on the silver maple in the rear. I expected them to take some off the top but not turned it into a ball-shaped tree. It looks funny in my opinion. The tree was very huge and old--way over 50 years old.

This was my second time using Dad's Tree Service, and like my first time, I was very impressed with their whole process from start to finish. I contacted them through their website and asked for a free estimate. I quickly was contacted back by Jordan who after answering a couple of questions told me that Ron would assess the trees and leave an estimate for me at my front door. He did leave an estimate by my front door. I then called to let them know that I wanted to have them perform the work and that I would be using my 10% discount card that they gave me from the last time. They told me that they would call a couple of days before they actually performed the work. They did call on Sunday, Sept. 8th and they did the work on Tuesday, Sept. 10th. I was not home at the time that they performed the work, but all the trees are beautifully pruned and trimmed, and the yard was very neatly cleaned up afterwards. They even swept my patio, which I greatly appreciated! I highly recommend Dad's Tree Service to family and friends. They are all very polite, nice, and very efficient. They do a great job and they make it very easy to get your trees pruned and trimmed.

From the start they were prompt, professional, and gave a very reasonable estimate. We decided to add another tree trimming and they came out the next day to estimate the additional effort. Work was done about two weeks later and we could not be happier. We were not home so I'm not sure just how they got those large branches out but you could not tell anyone had been there except that the limbs were gone and all dead wood was removed from all three trees. I hope we don't require future tree service but if needed, we would DEFINELTY call Dad's Tree Service again!

This is a small, family-run business. Ron (aka "Dad") is amazing! He responded to my Angie's List request and accommodated our work schedules to provide an estimate on a Saturday morning. Offered several options and cautioned us against trying to do too much as it could harm the vegitation and destroy the aesthetics of our back garden area. The Leylands were our biggest concern as they had overtaken the rear fenceline and were encroaching on our patio area and into our neighbor's yard. His crew trimmed them back and topped them in an attempt to retake part of the yard area. He also rescued our front porch from two out-of-control rose bushes and a russian olive, cutting them down to roughly half their original size w/o hurting the plants or making it look awkward. The cherry tree was looking quite ragged and encroaching on power lines--I really didn't want the county hack it up! The maple was brushing against the roofine and we needed it to be taken back away from the house and a branch trimmed so it would no longer over-hang the driveway. They did the work while we were away for the day, and initially it wasn't as "extreme" as we wanted. Ron came back to the house a few days later and we discussed where we had perhaps not been as explicit as we could have been. He reiterated his caution against being too aggressive, but understood the intent of our efforts and conceded that what we were asking for was within the original scope of work. His team came back the following Saturday morning while we were there and finished the job in under 45 minutes. We now have a patio we can enjoy with grass between it and the Leylands...and our neighbor has about 4 feet of "new" yard along their side of the fenceline. Everything looks amazing and the fact that Ron insisted on us being happy has earned him our return business anytime we need landscaping or tree work done. He is a true professional, knowledgable and quite likable. Not the cheapest (I had 4 estimates for the work), but he has a solid sense of what's right and what will look acceptable when his guys are done.

We called for a quote and someone came out within the next two days. Advised us that one of the trees we were concerned about didn't need to be cut down, which we appreciated hearing. Drew up quote on the spot at a reasonable price compared to other services we spoke with, especially after the 10% Angie's List discount. Scheduling the removal took a few weeks and one additional phone call from us, but we understood that it was busy season and weren't concerned about the modest wait. The workers arrived around 8 a.m. on the scheduled day and did a great job. They worked quickly, completed everything in the manner we discussed, and left our yard looking better than it had been before. Highly recommended--would definitely use again.

The day prior to the job starting, I had another tree that blew over in a strong wind. When they showed up, the first removed the large tree near the house, without causing any damage to the power lines or house. They ground down the stump and filled in the hole. They then trimmed the other tree that had limbs extending over the power lines. Again, no damage. They then trimmed the last tree away from the house as requested. They then moved on to the tree that had blown down and removed the trunk of the tree and large branches. Because this tree blew down, they suggested I trim a similar tree near the one that fell because it was getting overly heavy on one side. Again, all work was excellent with no collateral damage! Lastly, they had a power chipper and fed all of the debris into the chipper leaving my yard with no leaves or branches. An outstanding job, with last minute changes, that could not in my opinion have been done better.

Excellent. FIrst of all, I chose this company over another that was lower in price, I did that because Ron walked my property with me and was very personable. The company is professional, showed up on time and got the work done in a short period of time. The crew cleaned up and hauled the debris away. They did such a good job I provided them an opportunity to have a nice lunch. I would definitely use them again. Thanks Ron and crew.

Very friendly service. I received a written estimate within two days of asking for one. Dad's then kept me up-to-date on when they would be able to take care of the stumps. The team showed up on time and went straight to work. Since my lawn is rather unsightly I opted to keep the mulch so I can do some landscaping with it. The team was very professional and even raked the mulch into neat piles. Highly recommended.

I cannot really comment on his work but the speed, courtesy, and professionalism of response are certainly a strong indication of a professional.

I found Dad's on Angie's List and called in early December. I received a written, detailed estimate within 5 days. When I called to schedule the work, they explained that the soonest available date would be in January. Dad's called me a few days beforehand to notify me that they would be on my property on January 3. They arrived early, completed the work, and cleaned up the debris. I used a coupon from Angie's List, and this discount was applied to my estimate. I called the next day to pay the bill with my credit card.

Overall it went well. The second cut was a lead that was not supposed to be cut. Because of this cut, another lead that was originally listed to be cut could not be cut anymore since that would cause a "hole" now with the other lead removed wrongfully. Other than that, everything else went pretty well.

The workers performed their job quite well, but the arborist in charge told us we shouldn't do any further trimming for a few months - no need to worry about any further limbs falling on our home. We breathed a sigh of relief and got back to our insurance paperwork.... And then, 4 days later, we had another branch fall on our roof, causing damage to our shingles and rakeboard. It was not significant compared to the previous limb, but it did cause damage, and suffice it to say, we were not happy. When called out, no effort was made to do right. Very disappointing. update: The company's response below is not accurate. There was no storm on the day the second limb fell. It was sunny outside and winds were calm - that's why it was so shocking to have it fall. The limb was obviously already failing, but Ron missed or misjudged it when we asked him to size the situation up a few days before. So, while it is true that the unusual storm and years of neglect by the prior homeowner caused the problem, we reached out to Dad's to help us mitigate further damage. They told us our best response would be to prune the trees a few months later, in October. One way or another, that advice wound up being very wrong.

Response to our request for an estimate was almost immediate. The estimate was in line with our expectations. The team arrived on the date promised, and the work progressed quickly and smoothly, with no damage to very nearby other structures and trees. When the team left, our yard was cleaner than it had been when they arrived!

With the exception of one miscommunication, the whole process went very smoothly. I initiated this process right before the July 2012 storm that caused downed trees/branches, and massive power outages throughout this Washington metropolitan area. This was just bad timing. I think the miscommunication came about because I was corresponding with someone at Dad's Tree Services via e-mail, which is my preferred method of communication, and the person who was actually scheduling the servicing dates was expecting me to call them. Anyways, once this miscommunication was corrected everything went smoothly. They did a wonderful job trimming/pruning my trees. They came promptly on the scheduled date and they cleaned up after themselves very well. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

Company was very responsive. They were willing to perform the work within one week of providing the estimate. They weren't the low cost bidder. One other Angie's List A-rated company that provided a bid did not return phone calls and the other stated they could not perform the work for at least four weeks. The workers arrived on time and did a very professional job. We are pleased with the work and would use hte ocmpany again.

Wonderful! I chose Dad's because of the great reviews in Angie's list, and I wasn't disappointed. Ron came out right away to give me an estimate, and while they weren't the lowest, I still decided to go with Dad's. The crew arrived at the designated time, and it was both fascinating and scary to watch them climb those large trees with a chainsaw in hand. The crew leader was very responsive to my questions and concerns as the work progressed. At first I thought they were cutting too much, but he explained that's how they open up a tree so there will be less wind damage, and I have to say both trees look happy and healthy now. They also willingly went back to trim a bit more from another tree even after they thought they were finished. Definitely a positive experience, and I'm happy to recommend them!

Ron told me his team would be able to do the work in about 2-3 weeks and that his wife or daughter would call me back to schedule an exact date. After not receiving a call 3 weeks later, I called them back and Ron immediately made the appointment for upcoming weekend. His team was at my place at 730-8am and were done by 9-930. The work was done quickly and professionally and even came in slightly under the original estimate. Ron recommended having my cherry trimmed every 3 year or so and I will definitely be calling this company again to do the work.
