They were on time, did a quick efficient job and cleaned up after themselves. They were also $1,000 cheaper then my other estimate.

The entire transaction went very well. The owner responded promptly to our initial phone call and came out the next day to give an estimate. We discussed the pros and cons of removing one tree; he didn't push for removal. He wrote the estimate two ways, with and without the tree removal, and left us to decide. When I called to schedule the work, his wife answered all my questions and concerns. The four-man crewed arrived on the appointed day and finished the job promptly. We were impressed by their professionalism -- each person had specific tasks and got right to work. Ron, the owner, arrived when they were nearing completion and addressed a couple of concerns. All tree material was chopped up and removed. There was no damage to the house or landscaping. The trees look great, and we are very pleased.

The process of requesting and receiving the estimate was very good. This firm is very professional.

Great job. Cut and removed the tree. No trace of anything in our neighbor's yard. The dead tree was also leaning over our fence making the job a bit more awkward. No problem.

We called Dad's and Ron came out very quickly and left us a proposal on our doorstep. When I called to ask questions, I had to leave a message - but they called back quickly and were responsive and helpful. They took the time to explain everything in detail and did not mind that I asked a lot of questions. They showed up to perform the job when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves, which I appreciated. They got the job done in no time. We had to have several trees trimmed back from the house and they got in, cut the trees and got out. Payment was easy. I think they billed me, but I cannot remember - just that everything went smoothly before, during and after the services were performed. Great job.

Very pleasant on the phone and very responsive. They told me they would perform the work in two weeks from my authorization to proceed. They said they would call the night before to confirm, which they did.

Provided details via the phone. They came by as indicated and provide a detailed estimate. After reviewing two other estimates, I selected Dad's, called to schedule the work, they provided a day and estimated time for work to be performed, they arrived as scheduled, and performed work as indicated. The best part - I didn't have to take time away from the office to "babysit" the workers! They performed the service as indicated without any issues or call backs. I will definitely be using them again!

Scheduling the work went smoothly. The team showed up when they said they would, went over the planned work again with us to confirm, and did all the work stated on the estimate efficiently. All went well, and they were conscientious about cleaning up all debris thoroughly. Ron and his team did a great job as usual. We plan on calling them back for future maintenance.

Dad's was very professional and helpful. Price was only slightly higher than a competitor. We went with the lower price.

Very professional approach and follow-up. This is the second time we have used Dad's(although the first time we have rated them on Angie's list)and they have done a very stand-up job on both accounts. The best part is that they will send around a tree care e-mail a few times a year and Ron has been nice enough to answer a few ad hoc questions on trees to consider and what to do and not to do.

This was not the first time that I have used the company. After I called and left a message they got in touch with me and came out and checked everything over. He gave me an estimate that was very thorough. He quoted what I would think is a reasonable price. They cleaned up quite well after all the trimming was done. I will use this company again in the future. Though the owner/manager is not an arborist I think that he is better than another I have used in the past.

They did similar work for us some years back and we have recommended them to neighbors. We couldn't be happier. Each step in the process was smooth, friendly and professional. I placed an inquiry through their website form and received a call promptly. Ron Kronz is very hands on. He called to discuss the job and we also discussed removal of a small tree that is dying. Ron made a special trip to check that tree out and gave me an honest assessment. The crew came when scheduled and were professional, clean, friendly and did an excellent job, including clean up. The prices are very competitive. This company embodies the word trustworthy.

I was notified two days before the work date, as promised. The workers were extremely competent at their work. The worked well together and the process went very smoothly. I have had the wild cherry pruned two other times, and this is the only time that all the deadwood was removed. The took their time and made sure they got everything, even the small tip pieces. They removed a large holly that was growing toward the house. They had it down in about 20 minutes. They trimmed the oak willow back from our house by going on the roof the reach the tallest branches. Finally, they ground down the stump of the holly.

We were in the process of buying a house and in fact, hadn't even closed. During our home inspection, our inspector mentioned the trees hanging over the fence were very close to our gutters, as well as dropping lots of pine needles into a drainage grate we need to ensure is clear. He recommended we find someone to cut back the branches. Just before we left the house, we took a walk around the neighborhood and met someone with a spectacular dogwood tree and commented on how beautifully pruned it was. She shared that she uses Dad's Tree Service and that many people in the hood did so, too. We called and left a message, sharing what we wanted and requesting a call back. Cindy called us back very quickly the next day; we shared that we hadn't yet purchased the house but were hoping they'd be able to take a look and offer an estimate. They went to the house within the week, took a look around and then faxed us an estimate for the work. We scheduled the job with the expectation that they would come within a week of closing. The hitch was that although we were closing, we weren't going to be moving in for another month; therefore, no one would be at the house to view the work or pay for it upon completion. They were very gracious and said no one needed to be around, that they'd leave an invoice on the door (we asked it they'd give it to the neighbor and they agreed) and they said we could mail them a check. We were very surprised to hear how trusting they were, after all, we were new customers - how did they know we wouldn't try to stiff them? Regardless, we decided to leave a check with the neighbor - trusting that they would do a good job (and worried we might mistakenly pack our checkbook and never find it again). Within a week of closing, the neighbor called to say the work was complete and that Dad's left a receipt and the job looked good. We showed up the next weekend, to drop off some things and scope out the work. They did everything we expected, there wasn't any debris and the job looked great!

Very prompt response to our request for an estimate. Very good phone experience. Four workers arrived at the time promised. Work was accomplished quickly and professionally. Worker took care to ensure falling limbs did not hit windows, air conditioning units, etc. They were accommodating with some last minute requests. Clean-up was very good. Paid by check on the spot. We'd use them again...recommend to others.

Dad's Tree Service is great. We received an estimate that was right on par with other companies, but they provided Angie's List members with an additional discount, so that tipped the scales in their favor. They were very knowledgeable and made suggestions about timing the work to minimize stress on the trees. They came right as scheduled. A 5-man crew completed the whole job in just a couple of hours even though some of the limbs were pretty high up. They even cut up some of the limbs for us for firewood. All the other limbs and debris they hauled away.

They are very dependable. I call them whenever I need them to maintain the trees. They are always here when they say they will be and we have been very satisfied with their service. They have been great for us and we will definitely continue to use them. They clean up all of the branches and we have never had to pick up after them. They work very hard and don't slack when they are here.

The estimate was done within a few days of my call, and they actually managed to do the work earlier than planned because someone else had canceled out. They collected no money until the work was complete. Very easy to work with and gave a fair price compared to other estimates we had received.

We had an excellent experience with Dad's Tree Service. Ron did two estimates for us, since we changed plans. He was the lowest quote we received, however, we really selected him because our discussions with him left us feeling confident that this team would do the best job. Ron and his team were all always timely, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. When trimming the trees, they did so with the goal of preserving the natural beauty of the tree's structure. They worked with us in both the planning of the work and throughout the day to make adjustments, which allowed us to tweak which trees we wanted cut as we saw how things progressed. They did a thorough cleanup before they left and were finished hours ahead of schedule. We would absolutely hire them again, our backyard is beautiful!
