After a few days of this, the owner said it was fixed. My spouse went to pick it, only to find out it wasn't fixed. They said they found another problem and offered to deliver it a couple of days later. It never showed up. I called and made a delivery appointment ; again no delivery on agreed upon day and time. This happened a few times. More calls, during which I had an unpleasant exchange with the owner while I was trying to explain to him that it was important that he not miss his appointments because I have to take off work to meet for the delivery; he explained that I was "threatening him". Which I did not! We managed to agree to a 1pm delivery appointment on 9/10/2007. Again, a no show. To my surprise, he shows up at 8am on 9/11/07, with my unit. He says here, it is fixed! I signed a few papers and made a copy of my purchase receipt and off he goes, leaving me with my dehumidifier. After he left, I plugged in the unit; it was NOT FIXED, behaving as it did before I took it in.
Description of Work: This dehumidifier has a 5 year warranty serviced by "Warranty Centers", after 1st year of ownership, or, that is what I am led to believe. My LG dehumidifier, purchased 07/23/06, stopped working. It has a 5 yr warantee, so we called LG. They recommended Centreville TV to fix my broken dehumidifier which is under warantee. I delivered the unit to Centreville TV's relocated office in Herndon VA on 7/30/2007. I was told it would take about 10 days to service. About 8/13/07, I began the calls to check the status. I got the standard run-around: parts on order, fixed one problem but found another, etc.

This has been the worst repair experience of my life. It took this company 3 months to repair my television set. During this time they fried the motherboard of the unit, consistently told me that it needed additional parts, would never return phone calls or the phone message box would be full and always showed up hours late for appointments. Initially they told me the costs would be $80, then $250 and finally $500. I was only able to find this out after 2.5 months of calls when they said that they needed to have additional parts and I needed to pay more. I would have paid the additional dollars if they had only called and said that they needed to revise the estimate. To this day I don't know exactly what they repaired and for now I don't care as I never will do business with Centreville TV again. The two bright spots in all fairness is that they split some of the parts costs with me and the set is now functioning.
Description of Work: I have a four year old Mitsubishi 65" rear projection digital TV that would not turn on. The work defined was to diagnose and repair the problem. After going to Mitsubishi's web site for an authorized repair center, I found Centreville TV. It was near my home and had the lowest on-site service charge around. The company came to my house and determined that they needed to take the main chassis back to the repair center for further diagnosis.
