CABINET DISCOUNTERS

Our experience was great. We would have gone with them except our contractor got us the cabinets at wholesale.

We arrived at the Chantilly, VA showroom to meet with our designer and she proceeded to ask what we were looking for with our kitchen, what we lacked, etc. She took our measurements and desires and reconfigured our kitchen a bit to get some more space and added an additional section of cabinetry. The delivery of the new cabinets happened on time and the product is beautiful. The quality is great.

Cabinetry and granite installations went beautifully and contractors used were professional and capable. Electrician and Plumbing contractor were also highly capable and coordination with them went well. Sorry they could not do painting. That would have been helpful. Office and designer kept in touch and helped make certain I was informed and satisfied. I found that helpful. The designer was detail oriented and serious about making things come out well. I am most impressed by the quality of the craftspeople used by this company.

From start to finish our experience with Cabinet Discounters (CD) was superb. An important key to the process was having an extraordinary kitchen consultant, Ms Lois Elliott, and as a result great cabinets that we love. Mid way through a small kitchen remodel we decided to include new cabinets. We interviewed three different cabinet companies including CD because three other folks whose kitchens we liked had used them and by chance they had Lois Elliott as their designer. A word about the other two companies. One was recommended by our contractor; that kitchen designer called our existing kitchen, stupid and ugly. And while that might have been the truth, it did not endear us to him. We also looked at replacing the cabinets with the same brand we had that were 25 years old and still in fairly good shape. That designer/owner was helpful. But the price was 50% more...out of our price range. Lois took us through the design process step by step. She was incredibly patient with us. She answered all our questions and made great suggestions. She slowly guided us over several visits, there was NO rushing at all. She made a house call to do measurements and to make sure suggestions she had made in the office fit in the house. She listened to what our kitchen needs were and never tried to push us into anything that was not right for us. As an example, at one point, we got the idea of moving the refrigerator. She very kindly and politely showed us why that was not a good idea. Another example, she did not let us pick the final stain color for the cabinets without taking two favorite samples to the granite fabricators to make sure we were making the correct choice. The product: The cabinets are lovely wood, well stained and finished. The one set with glass doors is just what we wanted. We have recommended CD, (they should change their name to something more descriptive like Quality Cabinets with Extraordinary Designers. We have recommended Lois Elliott to a number of our friends. Everyone who sees our kitchen says oooh and ahhhh.

They're organized and easy to work with. They're efficient and worked quickly. They arrived on time, and cleaned up after themselves, too.

Starting with the design work of Ramsay Haddad through to completion of the job, everything went smoothly. Ramsay patiently worked with us to make the project fit within our budget. He suggested ways to cut costs that had no effect on the quality of the finished project. Everything went according to the schedule the company promised. The work was topnotch, and the quality of the materials was excellent. The company was responsive to fixing the few things that required rework. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a complete kitchen renovation.

I had a great experience with Katie my CD kitchen designer. She came up with some great solutions that I didn't think about or did the kitchen designer at other popular cabinet stores. She was a pleasure to work with, very professional and pleasant. She constantly checked in with me during the kitchen renovation process and then followed up again after the cabinets were installed inquiring about my satisfaction. I also like that CD has more variety in sizes that could accommodate my small kitchen space. I ended up with much higher quality cabinets (solid plywood) for about the same price that other popular cabinet stores had quoted for particle board cabinets. I'm very pleased with Cabinet Discounters and would definitely go back to Katie!

The experience was terrible. We understood that we will need to do the renovation in phases because of the limited funds for the project. But the rep made us feel like fools and that we weren't good enough to be there. We thought that with a name of cabinet discounters, the company would provide some options that we could consider for the present needs and future improvements. No one has ever been so rude as the rep was.

Nothing. Their bid was way too high.

The planning went extremely well. Tessa was familiar with our kitchen layout, gave us GREAT advice and I am looking forward to seeing the completed project.

We started planning a kitchen renovation, and looked for ways to reduce the and quot;dead spaceand quot; in the new kitchen. Cabinet Discounters came out and immediately gave us solutions to incorporate a lazy susan in a corner that was previously hard to get to, and was a challenge for storage. They also helped us come up with different types of cabinet layouts that would best use our small kitchen space and helped us design a kitchen island. When our plans were set, they ordered the cabinets and delivered them on schedule. After we installed them (not through Cabinet Discounters), we realized the cabinet doors were not sitting flush and Cabinet Discounters worked with the manufacturer to replace the hinges and fix the doors.

Since we live in a high-rise condominium, the limitations were numerous. The designer helped me to select cabinets that had the most flexible dimensions, so that there are no wasted spaces. The workers who did the demolition and installation knew their craft very well. They performed their tasks quickly and efficiently . The cabinets, counter top, sink and faucet, tile back-splash and the flooring are of good quality materlials and very professionally installed . The scheduling for this job was complicated because of the restrictions required by the condominium. Several dates had to be changed because of conflicts with work done in the building. The staff responsible for the scheduling of the various tasks was always very pleasant and understanding. They tried to accomodate these changes to the best of their abiliy.

I downgraded them on puncuality. There was a scheduling snafu that caused them to have to make an extra trip. For us, retired folks, really not a big deal but if I had been still working it would have been inconvenient. Bottom line even though a mistake was made the made up for it and overall the quality of the work, most important to me, is very high.

Went very well. Old counter top removed and Cambria installed. They took old counter top.

Called several companies but only Cabinet Discounters was responsive and set and made appointments. This is the company you want to hire for a kitchen remodel or any kitchen work! Tessa is a superb designer and took our ideas and presented several design options. We chose a design which worked for us and hired Cabinet Discounters to complete the install and this was a wonderful choice. The design, delivery and install team members were phenomenal! They start from the assumption of doing everything right the first time and this made the entire process pain free. The carpenter, plumber, tile installer and electrician were all masters in their trades and they only complete a job first class. No other way for them to do it and this was great as previous renovations in this house were not completed correctly and the Cabinet Discounters team made sure the install not only matched the plans but was completed to code as well. The final project is just WOW! This is the only company to hire! Go to the Springfield store and work with Tessa in design.

I obtained an estimate to have cabinets and countertops replaced in our new kitchen. The Cabinet and quot;Discountersand quot; quote was very high -- $30K -- for semi-custom cabinets whose quality was below what I would expect (finish quality was visually unappealing). This compares to the same $30K but for MUCH higher quality cabinetry from REICO Kitchens who does not claim to be cabinet and quot;discounters.and quot; It also extremely poorly compares to $23K for top of the line Kraftmaid cabinetry from Lowes and Home Depot which I believe to be of much higher quality in terms of both the finish and construction. Obviously I did not have Cabinet and quot;Discountersand quot; do the work. I must note that the designer I worked with was highly professional and very pleasant and helpful. It's too bad their products and prices are not competitive. Funny enough, their pricing for the Cambria quartz countertops was in line with lowest priced competitors.

We worked extensively with Tessa to create new kitchen design for our very tiny space! Tessa with very patient with us through a number of design changes and the cabinets arrived ahead of schedule looking great!

I was looking to replace my kitchen cabinets and the countertops which were 30 years old. I went into the showman and met with a wonderful woman (sorry, I can't recall her name) who was professtional and extrememly helpful in working with me. I opted not to go with Cabinet Discounters because I found their price to be almost twice as much as others who were comparable.

Lois was great! She helped me pick out many different granites, priced each, and offered her opinions when asked. She also assisted in a price adjustment and sent a thank you note after the counters were installed. Our job was a small one compared to most I am sure, and yet I did not feel that I was treated differently. This was a very positive experience. Also, I really like the way CDI prices their granite. Not by grade, but each granite is individually priced. I really appreciate this because it opens up one's options without blowing the budget!

I have had a good experience so far. I spoke with another company that was a lot higher, which was probably double in cost. These are still custom made. It is not like pre-made cabinets. I was getting good quality and still I was not paying twice as much. They called me the same day I called them.

Pam was wonderfully helpful and patient and accommodating to my short time line and crazy schedule. Very responsive to correspondence. Installation team arrived on-time, and so far, I have no complaints about the work performed.

They were fantastic. I met with them to get some information and to get a quote. The quote ranged from $4000 to $6500 for what I was looking for. They provided great service. They were easy to work with. They kind of went above and beyond to help me. They knew what I was looking for and they weren’t pressuring me to spend more. They understood that I was trying to work on a budget. So, I appreciated that. I haven’t done the work yet and I will probably use their services to get the work done.

Considering what it takes to remodel a kitchen that was over 20 yearsold and a few surprises that required a work around, all work was handled expeditiously. Surprises were those that would simply not be apparent until a wall is taken down. In this case they did provide another estimate on the additional work. They made a point of making sure that I had a person for direct contact for each step of the work. They started on time and finished only a few days late. All in all it was about a three week job which was what they estimated. I would certainly use them again. They were most helpful in flooring selection and installation issues.

The scheduling was great. The installation was clean and on time. The installers cleaned up and did the work in two days. They were professional and I would use them again.

We spent about $800. I liked the fact that we could customize exactly what we wanted. There was nothing really to dislike about them. We just went in and they helped us pick up the cabinets. They were also able to help us with a program that they were running where we were able to get a quartz countertop for a fraction of the cost. I would use their services in the future too.
