We received a flyer from Elmer. When I called Elmer, he was very polite and showed up at my house on time and ready to listen to what I needed. He provided a detailed estimate. We scaled the project back to what is described above. After selecting Elmer, we scheduled the service for one week later. His crew showed up and went to work. Four hours later they had the yard in top notch shape.

I have just returned to the US after living in Europe for 6 years. The people that had rented my house did not take care of the lawn and it was in pretty bad shape. I had used Band J's services in the best for simple grass mowing and some mulching, but this time I needed quite a bit of sod, mulch, backfill, tree stumps removed, a complicated drainage system with 2 catch-basins installed, planting of pachysandra and 2 trees, and other yard work. Elmer de Cid from Band J gave me a very reasonable (written) bid for all of the work and established a quick date and time for the work that met well with our schedules. He and is crew worked very professionally and efficiently to complete all of the tasks as prescribed in the bid, and were very flexible with us as we asked for some last minute changes. The drainage system works wonderfully. The sod looks great. All the other work was exceptional and above expectations. I have known this gentleman for many years to be hardworking, honest, completely trustworthy, and you can have complete confidence that when he bids on a project, you've just gotten one of the best prices around. Like most people, I use to seek second and third bids for work around the house, but when it comes to Band J there is really no need. I heartily recommend hiring Band J for all of your landscaping needs, no matter how big or small. You'll be really glad that you did.
