With recomendation of tech, repaced the unit since cost to repair was over 60% of new cost.

Company had to come back a second time to fix a second part, but everything went well.

repairman guessed over the phone what the problem was and approximate cost. he came out, examined the machine, and confirmed what he said over the phone. he returned later in the day with another technician to repair the microwave. He was very professional and helped us out THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING!!

Excellent service and customer service. Came out in the evening to get our oven working and ready for Thanksgiving. Hicham was responsive, prompt, and courteous.

OUTSTANDING. The technician showed up and diagnosed the problem within minutes and gave me the cost immediately. He not only repaired the problem, he serviced everything within the dryer to ensure nothing may happen again. He was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and a first class professional. I will call them again if I need help. And I will tell everyone I know to call them too.

They came out to give a quote and had to come back to finish the job. I'd give them "A" overall and for everything. I would use them again. It took them about an hour to diagnose and about an hour to repair. They were very thorough. The guy when he was here was testing all the electronics. It was the door lock on the machine but it could have been some other issue that could have been a lot more expensive. That was the question I asked do I repair this one or replace it with a new one. Do I put $200 into an old one or just apply that to a new one. He did a good job of diagnosing and said everything else seems to be fine, no guarantees but it's just the door thing here. He was very thorough in helping us get through that decision process.

The technician showed up on time trouble shot the problem and repaired it and completely cleaned out all of the lint and dirt that had accumulated over the years. The dryer has worked perfectly ever since. He was through; explained exactly what was wrong and what need to be fixed as he worked through the diagnosis since there were several points of possible failure in series. He did far more than he had to in terms of cleaning out the accumulation of dirt which was not the cause of the problem in the first place but should have been cleaned out long ago.

The technician, Mr. Singh, arrived on time and took the front off the machine. He quickly determined that the transmission had broken. He told us that he could order the part and fix the machine for $800. I was surprised and impressed when he candidly told us that we'd be better off buying a new washer since ours was 11 years old. Since Atlantic doesn't sell new machines, the company missed out on a repair job, but Mr. Singh's integrity earned him our repeat business. (We bought a new washing machine the next day---$500!)

Mr. Singh is always prompt and professional. Issues are quickly identified and resolved. If he doesn't have a part, he'll go out and get it and come back. It's really convenient to have someone who is able to come out on short notice even near holidays.

I called Atlantic Appliance Repair on a Friday Holiday, Veterans' Day. Mr. Singh gave me a three hour window to arrive the same day I called. He arrived early within that window. He conducted a diagnostic on the dryer and determined that the heating element was bad. He called and ordered a factory manufactured part then left saying that he'd return with the part in 45 minutes. Mr. Singh returned in 45 minutes, cleaned the entire dryer and installed the new part. Taking off the front off the dryer (the heating element is in the rear of this dryer) and cleaning the lint trap and blower motor took him an extra 10-15 minutes, but that step is an example of Mr. Singh's professionalism and his desire to do a good job for his customers. I would definitely use Atlantic Appliance Repair again.

Just had a great service experience with Atlantic Appliance Repair. Ravi called me back immediately to discuss when I called them, was very personable. Unfortunately, they forgot about my morning appointment the day after Labor Day due to multiple emergency calls, but he was so genuinely apologetic and wanted to make it right, and I was home that week so not a big deal. The next day, the technician was candid about the 10 y.o. freezer, saying the repair would cost more than buying a new one, so I was only out the diagnostic fee. He confirmed the dryer's motor was pretty much dead and recommended replacing belts that were loosening after 6 years, an optional repair we agreed to. The diagnostic fee for the dryer was deferred toward the final repair cost, which came in $210 less than what Sears would've charged me when they looked at it. Sears never opened the dryer to look at the "rattle" I heard when it died (part broke off the motor), somehow he was able to diagnosis it from the outside, plus parts would take 10 days to order (Atlantic had them in 3). Atlantic called to confirm all and say when they were on their way, pricing was excellent and fair; they charge by the job, not the hour. Technicians were communicative, didn’t talk down to me or doublespeak, and were efficient and clean with their work. Total cost of services includes both diagnostic fees and the dryer repair.

Our Dishwasher started to flood after I smelled burning rubber. Our regular service provider is out of the country for 6 weeks. Another company we contacted was booked for over a week, however, they recommended Atlantic Repair. When I called, the first thing they asked was “when would like someone to come out,? Which was music to my ears. They were able to send Mr. Singh out the next morning. Mr. Singh called ½ hour prior to arriving and once he arrived, asked several questions to determine the probable cause of the issue with our dishwasher. He set to work and quickly found the issue, informed us, told us the charge and later, told us how to avoid the issue in the future. Before leaving, he asked additional questions to see if there might have been a secondary issue and being satisfied that there probably was not, completed his bill which was less than we have been paying for repairs previously. (To be fair, some were plumbers, but others were not.) Before leaving, he let us know what to do in the unlikely event that we had another issue. The dishwasher has now cleaned a dirty load and we are satisfied that all is well. All in all, it was a very positive experience and given our history, am sure we will probably be calling them again for some appliance repair or another. We will definitely recommend Atlantic to others.

I recently hired Atlantic Appliance Repair to repair my older model GE dryer. The trip charge was $49.95, compared to GE's $90 + , and it was waived by Atlantic when I went ahead and did the repair. GE's charge would not have been waived nor applied to the repair cost. A very pleasant gentleman named Singh came to do the estimate the same day I called to request it, and he also did the repair when he returned with the parts. Although the cost was $300+ (after giving me a discount that I believe was because I'm an Angie's List member), I went ahead and spent it, because the parts were more expensive due to the age of the dryer; I wasn't in the mood to shop for a new dryer (a very cursory search showed I would have paid around $700 for a new one); and I believe in repairing something that still has life in it rather than tossing it in the landfill. Singh also showed me the lint that had collected behind the drum and recommended I get my dryer vent cleaned as soon as possible (they do not do that work). I recommend this company very highly. He was able to fit me in when other companies could not prior to holiday weekend. He called in advance to let me know he'd arrive in 30 minutes and showed up right in time. He was polite and wiped his feet really well on the way in. He worked quickly and very neatly. He explained what was wrong and gave me the cost to replace the igniter. He cleaned up and tested everything. He also checked my dryer vent and let me know it did not need to be cleaned. He was in and out within and hour. Oven is 100% better.

I too was referred by another repair company. They fit me in on the same day I called, which I really appreciated because I wasn't going to be able to stay home for the next few days when they had openings. He replaced the part, but also went the extra mile to vacuum out all the lint inside the machine, the motor, and the dryer vent. He spent a good deal of time doing this, when he could've just popped in the part and left. Clearly, he was focused on doing a great job. The drying is working again! I'd trust them with my other appliances and highly recommend this company.

The whole process went very well. Our freezer started dripping ice water which was the first sign it was not working. We cleared everything out, unplugged it, and called Atlantic. I called around 8pm and Ravi answered the phone. He scheduled an appointment for the next day between 2-5pm. He showed up around 3pm and quickly determined that the starter and capicitor for the compressor had melted at one part, and probably caught on fire at one point. The part needed to be replaced. He had to look around to find the part from a few vendors, but eventually ordered it from out of State the next day. The part came 2 days later. Ravi returned with the part at noon and replaced it. He then tested the compressor to make sure it was functioning properly. He is always profressional, knowledgable, very honest, and generally a pleasent person to have fix your appliances. Atlantic charges a fee for the initial diagnotics, $49.95 in my case for the first visit. Then Ravi gave me an estimate of the total cost to repair after he determined the cause. When he returned with the part to install, he gave me the total price which matched his estimate. I then paid the balance of the cost (total minus diagnostic) after it was fixed. . This is the second time I've had Ravi and Atlantic Appliance fix an appliance. The first was in 2011 when the dryer at an apartment rental of mine stopped heating. He diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and returned to fix it. Very reliable. I'm a landlord with a home and two rental properties. I rely on honest, reasonable service when needed.
