Description of Work: We had bed bugs. Affordable came out and administered their treatment for three weeks in a row. They have a 6 month warranty and came out to treat as often as we desired. Great service.

Description of Work: I signed up for a quarterly plan last year when we bought our house and we had some mosquito problems. I'm not sure how much they helped with the spraying. This last quarterly treatment the technician didn't show up or call. When they came and sprayed the ants actually got worse. I called to have the technician come out again and there scheduler has no interpersonal communication or service skills. It's like placing an order at McDonald's. I will not be renewing my contract with them.

Description of Work: We used Affordable Pests to control for mosquitos. They came four times over the summer 2012, but we were never home when they came. They left a notice at the door each time they came and we could see evidence of dead bugs and a lack of mosquitos. We were totally satisfied with the service and the results.

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal for quarterly pest inspections and treatment. They did a cursory spray around the outside of the house and put some sticky cards inside the house. During the year they were here, I discovered visible termite damage and called them to come look and give me a price. They could not offer any solution but poison spray and they were expensive. I had to call other companies and finally selected a different one for termite treatment without spraying.

I selected the organic sprays, so a little more expensive. not 100% sure how great the spray works, as my wife still gets bit, but I seemed to think it worked! they come out at their own schedule, nice, friendly people - do the job and leave.

I could not afford $295 even though the service was excellent. I would have had to forgo it. I would recommend it to anyone who can. It really worked, which totally surprised me.

Description of Work: We purchased a "Big Deal" package from Affordable Pest for yard treatments for mosquitos for four consecutive months beginning in May. The first treatment was scheduled and completed as promised. We never heard from them again unless we called to find out whether and when the treatments in June, July and August were completed. Though they are very pleasant on the phone, they did not keep commitments to come on the dates promised. They have not provided the package of services as promised. I can confirm that we have received two service visits over a five month period. This is very haphazard and unprofessional. We did not notice any impact on mosquitoes, possibly because the service was so sporadic. Angie's List should arrange for refunds of $295 for a package of treatments to members who did not receive the full package of services as promised.

Description of Work: I was supposed to receive a full-yard mosquito control treatment monthly for 5 months. I started in early June so the treatments should have continued into October. Although I called a few times to schedule treatments (that I thought would be done automatically), I do not think that I received more than 3 of the 5 treatments. If more treatments were done, they were done when I was not home, and the technician did not leave a notice on my door, as I was told he would do. The treatments I know were done were somewhat effective, and the personnel I spoke with on the phone were courteous and responsive about scheduling service. I am just not sure that the services I paid for and was assured would be done were actually performed.

Description of Work: Very disappointed. Had an appointment for service to come between 8-10 am. By 10 am I hadn't hear anything from technician. Called 4 times where the service center gave me the run around. Deeply unprofessional company and unreliable.

I haven't seen any mosquitos since they did the treatment three weeks ago and the ants in my kitchen are gone. Will definitely used them again.

Their price is reasonable, and I can get a hold of someone on the phone when I need them! I have annual contracts with them on various properties.

Description of Work: Monthly treatment of my yard with an environmentally friendly mosquito repellent. They have done 2 of the 5 treatments (from June to October) and thus far, the mosquito issues have definitely been less. The people who have come out to do the work have been courteous and effiicient. The only (very small) glitch was that when I called to schedule, they said the first guy would arrive between 12 and 2, but he arrived bright and early at 9 am (of course, after I had been up late working the night before). Though if an error must be made, I definitely prefer that he arrived early, rather than late! Happy with their work!

Description of Work: This was the result of choosing one of the company's specials on Angies List. The one I did not choose was around $95, and only included consultation and initial service. The one I paid for had something more, as I recall there would have been at least one add'l service call some months later. Two of their guys arrived (above date approx), did a walk-through and walk-around, replaced some rat-trap bait and replaced some glue traps. Basically, though, they noted that our home is exceptionally well-sealed and they had no add'l suggestions. When I asked about the follow-up visit(s) they said they aren't necessary but if something were to come up within, say, a week, they'd be willing to come back. So, two comments: (1) they were surprisingly perfunctory, perhaps appropriately so -- though we have caught a mouse inside, about a month after their visit (we've left Orkin's glue traps in place). (2) Between the two deals offered, we paid for one and received service under the lesser-priced one.

Description of Work: I am in the middle of this service right now, so the "jury" is still out, but right out of the gate, they have not been impressive. I had to call several times to get them to schedule an appointment -- the first appointment, I was home and know that they sprayed. The second appointment, I was not home and I am not sure that they actually sprayed or gave me some watered down version. I threatened to contact Angie's list and the Better Business Bureau and that got them moving, but I am underwhelmed and would not use them again.
