great except for ongoing scheduling problems

Based on Angie's List positive reviews, I called and set up an appointment for pest management. They failed to show up and didn't call to to let me know. The company did call the next day to ask if I wanted to reschedule, but did not apologize or even explain why they failed to make the appt. What a disappointment.

Confirmed appointment promptly, performed move-in pest control service for new tenants and enrolled them in an annual maintenance plan. Great experience overall!

They are terrific. They are quite organized great to work with. I also use them on our rental properties.

The services are worth the money as I ave 4 dogs and they were always getting bit. Now they don't!

After many calls and emails I have given up and accepted I was scammed.

They came 4 times so far, and they did a good job. They come and just let me know that they are going to be doing the work in the yard. They are very courteous. I found them satisfactory, but I've never hired this kind of company before, so I have nothing to compare them to.

The service they provide us was excellent and we are renewing the contract for another year.

I was interested in getting a one-time mosquito treatment for our new house, since mosquito season is ending, but the tiger mosquitoes were plentiful in our new yard. I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for a $50 one time treatment. I called to schedule, and the person who answered told me that I had to be home, because I needed to have an inspection for all pests to go along with it. I told him I was just interested in the mosquito spraying, and why did I need to be home if the technician is only going to spray the exterior. This was clearly an attempt to up-sell me services that I did not want. Regardless, I made the appointment for 12-2 on Monday. I then got a call the next day stating that my 2-4pm appointment (note time change, they didn't tell me about this) now needed to be at 3-5pm. Fine. Then on the day of service, I got a call at 10am saying that the technician was sick and would not be able to do the inspection or treatment that day. I told the woman who called me that I really just wanted the mosquito spray i already paid for, not the inspection, and I made arrangements to be home on a weekday for this. Unlike the first person I scheduled with, this woman got it--she was kind, apologetic, and got a technician who was in my neighborhood to come by within the hour to just do the treatment. no inspection, no up-sell, all set. I wish I had gotten her the first time I called and I think I would have had a much better experience. I think I will stick with the pest control company I have used in the past, which has much more consistent quality customer service.

The initial consultation was promising, very professional and thorough. The actual work, however, was not. I was told they would call me to schedule, they never did so i had to chase them down to schedule. The person who showed up knew nothing of the initial consult, so I had to take him through the whole house and tell him what I could remember from the first visit. I pointed out specific places that I wanted to be included in the work. Those places were not touched and the whole job was minimal effort at best. I would not recommend them or use them again.

The service man was very polite...showed up on time. I had asked that the appointment be made when I could walk him around so that I could point out what and where he could spray. He was very informative about the chemicals that they use...and that they don't harm other valuable insects...like the bees. It seems to have worked. I can be out in my backyard now without those horrible gnats flying around...and the mosquitos also seem to be gone...but the bees are still around. My only complaint is that I don't get any notice as to when they have come...it would be nice to have a note on the door so that if there are issues, I can figure out if it's close to when they should spray again...or...have them come out again.

I wanted to try another Termite treatment company for a change but their cost was about $175 more than what I normally pay for the exact same job.

Went well overall. Coupon was not specific in what was included, and they treated for everything we had seen in the house since moving in (roaches and ants). To date we have not seen these bugs reappear and it's been a few months, so we're pretty happy. They were quick, efficient, and courteous, and we plan on using them again.

The representative was very efficient. Did not try to sell any additional products. Just did what was asked.

While the little buggers continued to plague me up to two weeks after the spraying was done, after that they appeared to be gone (fingers crossed!) My only complaint is that that the company said they would call me after two weeks to do a follow-up visit, for free, if I wanted. They never called me back.

These folks were friendly on the phone and even though they had an overwhelming response from the Angie's list ad they came out within a few days and arrived on time. The first spray went fine and we did not have mosquitoes during June. We live just off Rock Creek Park and in the past we have had a real problem. In July they came out but we started to notice they were back within a week after the treatment. Not as bad as past years but they were biting. I called and let them know what we were experiencing. The receptionist said she would tell the person coming out for the August treatment. Well we have had mosquitoes in August and some days they are bad. We still have to spray our arms and legs if we want to sit out in the back yard. They are due to come next week but I am not sure if it will get better. All I can say at this point is that the treatments may have reduced the number of mosquitoes but they have not eliminated them. I am not sure if the benefit outweighs the cost.

This is second hand - my wife dealt with the techs. Basically it's 2 different grades. The original tech came and sprayed outside, but said not enough stuff had been moved away from the walls so rescheduled the second appointment - Note nobody said anything about moving things, and they weren't that bad. The second tech that came was much more helpful and thorough. Though we had moved things, it didn't seem like it would have mattered to him. He also spread some pesticide in the grass to kill lawn ants (no extra charge). So the grades were basically C for the first tech, A for the second.

Affordable Pest came and sprayed as published. We have a newborn so I was concerned about chemicals so we left for most of the day. I came back and there was a STRONG chemical stench. It took 2 days to dissipate. After that, the bugs remained. No dead bugs. We kept finding spiders, ants, crickets, etc. in our basement. I called back pretty frustrated and the service man returned for a respray. He told us that since we had the baby he decided to use an "organic" spray, hence the strong smell. Well, the smell only stinked us out. He resprayed with the good stuff (sorry hippies) and placed sticky traps all over the place. I'm happy to say that this tactic worked and we have no more bugs. Good job and good return service. Oh, and the baby is still alive even without the organic spray. I'll use them again in the future. They communicated very well.

The technician was able to come out on the first Saturday I had purchased from Angie's Great Deals, and spray inside and out for ants and spiders. He said he would return in two weeks to spray the outside again, and I would not need to schedule it, but I did have to call and schedule it after no one came back for second treatment. The technician was very polite and professional.

Service was great - and worked! Clouds of mosquitoes plagued us and one treatment brought them down. I know we will need to continue to get results long-term but I did not want a contract this late in season and without knowing if it would work. Well - it works! I would recommend this firm highly. Thank you.

Great company. Responsive to my request for them to come out off schedule. Professional and courteous. Unfortunately the mosquito service doesn't seem to be effective. I don't know if it is the product that they spray with or the frequency (once per month) or what, but I've gone in the backyard within a week of a visit and mosquitos eat me up. In comparison, last year we had a different company come out only twice and only saw the rare mosquito.

We would wholeheartedly recommend this service: (1) the treatment works (and in an environmentally and child- and animal-safe manner), with only a very, very, very few mosquitos noticeable near the end of a treatment period (i.e., just before the next one is due); (2) the company is very professional, courteous, and responsive (including performing a reapplication free of charge without any complaint when it had rained really heavily just after an application); and (3) it was a very competitive price. Great company!

Don't use this company for wildlife trapping. When I made the initial call, I had to make an appointment for an inspection that would not take place for two days. On that date (a Friday), they were supposed to come out between 1 and 3pm. When they did not show by 3pm, I called and learned that I had been moved to 3-5pm with no notice. They finally showed up a little before 4pm, looked at the hole, and signed me up for trapping service at $375 (minus the Angie's List coupon), plus $55 for each additional animal trapped. My neighbor had told me that there were at least 3 goundhogs. The inspectors didn't do the trapping. They said that I would hear from their wildlife person within the next week - a period of time that did not please me since these critters were causing a lot of damage. Still, I agreed to the deal. When I didn't hear from the trapper in the next week, I called the office on the following Monday. The person I spoke with promised to call me back as soon as he found out what had happened. I didn't hear from him that day, so I called again Tuesday. This time, I learned that the wildlife person had not returned any of their calls. But again, he promised that he would get back to me as soon as possible. Wednesday morning, he called to tell me that the wildlife person would be out to set traps on Thursday. No one showed up, and no one called. So the next day (two weeks after the inspectors signed me up for the service) I called the office shortly after 9am and told them that if I didn't have a trap set by the end of the day, I would cancel. Again, I did not hear from anyone, so I called back around 4:15pm and learned again that the wildlife division had not returned their calls. I told the person I spoke with that they had about 45 minutes. Again, no one called me back. So at 5:15pm, I called and canceled the service request.
