I had purchased a Big Deal $349 for Annual Pest Control (4 Times per Year). They weren't quite up to par and wasn't happy with their services, I would not use them again.

I didn't need to be home and the treatments are keeping our property mosquito-free. I'm happy!

I ended up hiring them and having a contract. They came to do indoor spraying on a monthly basis. They were nice to work with over the phone. They came during the day while I was at work. I would I definitely use them again in the future if need be.

It only took a single treatment to eliminate the ant problem. The beetle problem still persists, however Affordable has come back to treat again at no additional costs.

Affordable Pest was fine. I used them twice. They came out the first time, laid some traps down and looked for holes where the little critters can keep coming in and out but we didn't catch anything with their traps. I called them back Right after Thanksgiving, I captured the critter so I called them back when I realized I found the holes and then they came out and filled the holes. I thought they were good. They were on time, professional and I guess they were kind of thorough. If they found the holes I didn't need to call them back that's why I'm giving them a B.

Pros: Effectively managed my ant infestation during the contract. Between treatments they'll come out free of charge if you have bug problems. Cons: Continuing service and billing you long after the one-year contract ends, wihtout your consent. Failing to provide advance notice of your next visit. Trying to pitch unnecessary, expensive termite treatments. I purchased an Angie's Big Deal for one year of quarterly pest control treatments. My yard was infestated with carpenter and odiferous ants that were starting to enter my house. I was satisfied that they effectively managed the ant problem during the contract duration, but there were problems with repeatedly failing to call in advance to schedule the next appointment and billing me for service performed long after the contract ended, and without my knowledge or consent. Before each quarterly service, they were supposed to call in advance to schedule the next treatment and to check if treatment was needed inside the home. Although I called each time to inform them of the problem, I only knew they had been to my home by the paperwork left in the door. My Angie's List Big Deal ended with the last treatment in August. The following January, I received a call from a technician saying he was running late for my appointment. I told him I didn't have any appointment and my contract had ended last summer. He acknowleged that there was some mistake at the office and I thought that was the end of it. Ten days later I found a bill in my door for treatment that day. It took multiple calls over several weeks to finally speak to the manager. Each time I called I was told that I would receive a call back from the manager but this didn't happen. I finally insisted on waiting for a manager after being transferred around to multiple people. He ended up waiving the charge after agreeing that there was some mistake (due to the length of time since the last treatment). I was assured that I would not receive any more bills but the folliwing month I received another bill and had to call again to ensure that the problem was resolved in their system. I didn't like technicians trying to sell me expensive, unnecessary termite treatments. During the initial visit the tech was trying to find and recommend treatment for non-exisitent termites. During the last unscheduled visit, they left paperwork recommending a $500.00 termite treatment because my home was over 15 years old. I would not use this company in the future and do not recommend them.

Affordable Pest Control did keep its promise on pricing and more. They came to the house an additional two times, really a total of six visits just charging me for only one additional visit. They completely eliminated a problem that has plagued us for more than five years. We decided to hire them to do our yearly termite inspection and the normal insect prevention, four times a year, at a very competitive price. The technicians have been more than professional, I have felt that I was treated as a member of the family. I have had no issues with insects. When we notice droppings in the storage room, we had them come out to check whether or not we had mice. To our chagrin, we did and they have taken care of the problem and have come out more often to double check without charging us above the initial price quoted. I cannot more highly recommend the professionalism and product of Affordable Pest Control. We have now signed on for their mosquito and outside insect control and we did not need to use an Angie's coupon because they contacted us before the coupon became available yet the price is the same. I look forward to the same kind of service that we have had in the past.

They would schedule the time and wouldn't show up or would show up the next day. Unlike other services that I used in the past because I have a young child now with herb garden I wanted to know when they were going to be there so that I can close windows in the house so we didn't get spray in the house and so that was really important to me and I kept indicating about them. They just didn't seem particularly organized and not as responsive as I would like and I also didn't have the feeling that they were using exactly the formulation that I wanted and they didn't seem particularly knowledgeable about the product they were using unlike another service that I had used previously that was more expensive, but nonetheless I would go back to the other company because even though they are more expensive they were much more reliable and I had a sense that I knew was I was getting. I am not satisfied with their service at all. I would not use them again.

I contacted Affordable Pest for an estimate on a preventative barrier of termidor/altriset for termites. Setting up an appointment was easy and quick. When the day came, I received a call 30 to 45 minutes before saying they were headed out. Another call followed saying they were stuck in traffic. No big deal, at least they called to let me know. When they arrived, there were two representatives, one who measured the yard and another who talked to me about the treatment. It seemed overkill to send two people. After chatting with me for a bit, the representative joined his colleague outside to help with the measuring. They finished measuring and headed out to their car. It was almost 20 to 30 minutes before I saw either one again. I was beginning to think they left and planned on emailing me the estimate when one of the guys knocked on the door and handed me the sheet of paper with his business card. Pros: Polite Called when they were late Dressed professionally Cons: Took a long time figuring out details in the car (read above) Expensive- Out of 4 or 5 different companies, they came in at the highest price, well above the others. This is partly due to them somehow calculating an additional 100-150 sq feet that would need to be treated. Almost 1,000 where others came in around 700-800. Left gate open after leaving. This was an annoyance, because none of the other companies needed to open the gate (we have 2 gate entrances, 1 that is blocked off). They didn't ask about opening it or how to go about closing it again. If the higher cost wasn't enough of a turn off, the amount of time I waited for an estimate definitely didn't help matters. With two reps one of them could have calculated costs in the car (or at my table) while the other talked about specifics of what would be done.

We used to have an ant problem and now we do not!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal purchase that I made. The guy was really friendly, I pointed out some areas that I knew he probably wouldn't really address but he told me how to address them. I probably will not use them again because we kept trying to schedule a follow up and it never really worked.

They did an adequate job, but they need to be more prompt in terms of follow up. Specifically, they haven't contacted me after the initial treatment.

Went back into home after an hour even though was told to wait two hours for the smell of the spray to go away. There was no smell so I'm not sure what was sprayed if anything at all. The very next day I saw ants by my back door where the technician sprayed.

I called and scheduled an appointment with them because the lady answering the phone said the approximate cost would be $325 to trap all racoons on my property, but that the estimator would make the final price. I had to wait 2 days for the appt. The guy came today and told me it would be $395 for the first racoon, and $125 for each additional animal trapped. This is WAY more expensive than any of the other A rated Angies list services for animal removal and it wasted my time waiting for them to come. Now I have to wait another week for another provider to come and remove the animals at their total cost of $400 for all animals. Not pleased.

They were very responsive & came out when they said they would. I was not home for the treatment so they left a note saying they were there & a report of what they did. I saw a decline in the mosquitoes for a bit, but frankly speaking I?m not sure what I should?ve expected. They did the work & left me information ? good customer service definitely & I was not contacted or pressured for further service which surprised me. They let me know they could do more but didn?t pressure. I may contact them to see if they have any other recommendations, but I also am not sure how much more I want to invest at this time.

The good timely service to get someone out to provide an estimate. Answering of phone calls The bad, different estimate prices between estimator verbal and from company via email went from $275 to $375. Could not schedule the actual removal of the birds and could not provide an idea of why they could not schedule.

He found an opening under the porch where the pests could get in but he did not fill that hole. He showed me how to do it. He did fill other spaces that were open. The price just seemed a little bit steep for what they did.

It went well. The tech showed up as scheduled and made a thorough inspection after listening to my explanation of the problem. He explained what he found and provided several options for remediation. After we selecting the option, he was able to provide treatment on the same visit and scheduled the follow up right then. After the follow confirm no new problems, I considered the experience a success.

I thought he was very professional and on time. He tried to abide to my live and let live. He only put the poison down where it needed. He was mindful of my animals. He was

There was no problem setting up the appointment or with the person arriving on time. However, there wasn't anything really done during the visit (although the person talked a lot). A couple of traps that I had were moved, but not feeling so great about the experience, I called another company to come out (we had an ongoing issue with mice coming in and I wanted to put a stop to it). The other company actually sealed some locations outside and placed a couple of traps, as well as discovered that the location referred to by the person by this pest company only led to behind my bookcase upstairs and could not be a source/entrance for the mice. I wouldn't recommend. They were nice, but that was it.

The deodorizer worked well and the traps didn't catch the mice who did die up in the ceiling where they were.

They were very friendly, very nice, and informative. My only issue, however, is that they failed to make a second visit as promised which reduced the effectiveness of the treatment.

WENT VERY WELL. WAS ABLE TO PINPOINT AREA WHERE INTRUSION OCCURRED. CAME BACK IN ONE MONTH TO RECHECK EVERYTHING FREE OF ADDITIONAL COST.

This service worked extremely well. Mosquitos love to bite me. In 2011 it was so bad that I could not sit outside of my house for even five minutes. In 2012 I jumped at the opportunity to do this. We noticed a marked difference from the prior year. And I noticed a difference from right after they sprayed to right before they were scheduled to come back. I would definitely do this again.
