It seemed to help the problem for the summer

Call them everytime. When we finally schedule an appt. they were no show and when they did show the treatment didn't work well, we still had mosquitos.

It was fine and a good experience. We asked them to switch to an organic formulation and they did. They come out 4-5 times out in a year. The people were friendly and courteous. They were quick and efficient. They did what they said they were going to do. They always showed up when they said they would.

' First of all, I extend my apologies to you for my tardiness. You've been asking me for a review since summer of 2012 and I truly apologize that I haven't had time to give one until today (Martin Luther King Day January 20, 2014: a holiday) because I'm self-employed, I'm my sole employee and I work seven days a week. In addition to that, I undertake many volunteer responsibilities. Here are the details. I wasn't having any pest problems and I knew that I have metal window sills and frames. However, I thought it wise to have an annual inspection of my home for pests including but not limited to termites. The representative from AFFORDABLE PEST LLC who came over instantly oohed and ahd saying that my home was infested with termites. As false proof he pointed to the windowsill where a little bit of paint had flaked off and the metal was visible. He pronounced it termite infestation and his verdict was that it would cost about one thousand dollars to fix and that thereafter I would have to have AFFORDABLE PEST come over several times a year to further apply pesticides. I'm a woman--most of us are not as familiar with home maintenance and repair as are men--but I'm not stupid. He was very polite and smiling but he was not telling the truth and it appeared to be most deliberate. I politely told the fellow I'd be in touch with his company later.. Of course, I didn't follow up nor do I have intentions of ever having anything to do with AFFORDABLE PEST LLC. I'm very disappointed at the attempt to cheat me. I don't remember the AFFORDABLE PEST representative's name but I do recall his description. A man appearing to be in his mid- to late 30s; about 5'5" in height; medium build, not slender and a little stocky; weight I'd guess to be about 175 lbs.; fuil head of brown hair; brown eyes; Latino accent. I don't remember what he was wearing. There are 2 possibilities. Possibility #1 is that this respresentative was being dishonest on his own because of the ulterior motive of self-interest: trying to look good to his employer by having customers spend lots of money and perhaps he gets a commisson or possibility #2 the employer himself tells his employees to go out and rook customers. I don't know and I don't care. All I know is that I will never ever contact these people again. I don't trust AFFORDABLE PEST.

I purchased for use in 2012 but they didn't come until the end of the summer for the first visit. they agreed to provide for free in 2013, but they didn't let us know as requested when they would come, so we didn't unlock back gates. very disorganized and unsatisfactory.

The initial contact with this company was great. The first service as performed as requested. I requested to be notifed when they would be coming so I could close up my house (windows always open) and lock up my dogs. I am not home every day so I needed advance notice to schedule a convenient time for service. I was assured that this was not a problem. None of this ever happened. The service was a total surprise every time they showed up. I tried to call and make service appointments, was given dates and time, but no one ever showed up at those times. Service appointments seemed to be entirely random. After many discussions and assurances from management, the company still DID NOT get it right. The season ended with them still owing us service appointments. After another lengthy discussion with management, I agreed to another season this past summer. I was assured that I would have scheduled appointments and the tech would call me when he was on the way, so I could close up and lock up the dogs. I hoped that the company had improved. I was not so lucky. There were no changes. In fact, the tech would show up and not even know what he was supposed to be spraying. Also, spraying was done while my windows were open.

The guy was very nice. I had a squirrel in my attic and they were able to get them out. The deal worked well.

Now they want us to pay $90 for the non existing service and had even sent our account to the collection agency, never going to used the company again.

He put in a trap for mice and that ended up attracting snake. This trap was great because we caught a lot of mice and we were pleased with the service.

He was efficient and did a good job.

When I first used them about three years ago I liked them and they were responsive. I am not sure which office they were coming out of and, as of now, it is luck of the draw who I get. I do, in general, like the people that come to my house, but I do not like having to deal with the management office because they are not very effective and not responsive as far as following through when I am doing bill payment stuff or scheduling, such as when I say to call 30 minutes before they come out. That does not always get relayed to the service technicians. As far as the product that they put down I do like what they put down and I think it is very effective. I like a number of the service people that come out. I still have a contract with them. I cannot say in a management way that they are a great company, but, for the most part, I like the people who come out. For the most part I am pleased.

We needed an extermination certificate for one of our Section 8 rental units because, during the annual inspection, rodent droppings were found. We called Affordable Pest LLC after finding them listed for the DC zip code on Angie?slist. On the agreed day and at the appointed time, two Affordable Pest people met us at the unit. They did the inspection, gave us instructions for how they would do the extermination, and returned, as scheduled, to complete the work. What was great about them is they also gave us very good advice for how to eliminate the problem causing the rodents in the unit and how to fix the problem so is did not reoccur. If we follow their directions, they essentially eliminated future business for their company from us. Not really. We have two other Section 8 units in DC and have used their services in them (at their full price which was still reasonable).

He was punctual and courteous and explained the procedure in detail. He did everything that he said he would but, the one treatment did not get rid of roaches. I was looking for a one shot deal rather than sign up for a treatment plan which I have done before to no avail. I did find a company, not this one, that wiped out the roach problem in one fell swoop.

They have done a very good job. They are very punctual and we would call them again. They come either on a quarterly or semi-annual schedule.

My home backs onto woods so I have a variety of insects to deal with. Affordable Pest usually talks to you to check whether you have any problems or special requests. They will return again without additional charge if you are still having a problem. I had ants coming in from outside and they came back again to spray. They also helped locate where the ants were getting into the house. I appreciate when they call ahead to let me know when they will be coming, which hasn't happened every time. The technician has always been professional and courteous.

He did a great job and got rid of the roaches I found behind a refrigerator I purchased used. He said if they came back to call him and he would come back out. Great job. I would definitely use him again.

It went fine. They were a little late getting here but did have afternoon traffic to deal with and I told them I was flexible. the technician didn't seem to want to spend time explaining anything, just wanted to set traps and get out. But when I pressed for info, he did provide it and helped me learn where the mice came in so I could take care of it myself. I feel they were reliable and did the work I asked them to do, but definitely no extra effort at all.

We have used this service for two years now, and have been very satisfied. The technicians have been professional, and have done a thorough job. We highly recommend them.

Since having Affordable Pest servicing the traps around my house the indoor activities have reduced to just about nil. Rats and mice are still active outside (definitely mice in shed) but not inside and the traps help keep that traffic down as well. AP usually comes and services the traps during the day whenI am not home but leave a note as to what was done, traps replenished, etc.

Services were performed when no one was home so the treatments were not able to be seen. The backyard may have had a few less mosquitos for a few days but certainly not for the six weeks expected.

We got a monthly thing with them other than the big deal purchase we made. They did a really good job and we were pleased with their service.
