Description of Work: The representative from Affordable Pests came as scheduled, listened to me and inspected inside and under my house and possible pathways that rats were traveling. He placed bait under the house and set traps indoors for a resident rat. He returned in a few days to check bait under the house and to place squirrel and pet proof bait boxes on the property where rats had been seen traveling. He was friendly and courteous. Since the initial visits, I had a follow-up inspection and replacement of bait that had been consumed. The second tech was just as courteous, friendly and professional. At the first inspection, I used an Angie's list coupon to contract for a year's service.

Description of Work: Had massive beehive in attic of which bees ate through bedroom ceiling - yuck!!. Excellent initial response which included use of a coupon to save $25.00 from the list. Technician, Chris, explained entire process and sprayed inside and outside house. Said a follow up was needed in 1 week and he called office himself to set up appointment. The following week there was a 2 hour wait window of which no one showed up nor did they call. I called the office near the end of the 2 hour wait and was told I never had an appointment. I rescheduled for 3 days later and the exact same thing happened - no one showed up or called. I called the office near the end of this 2 hour wait and the office seemed to be playing 'pass the buck' saying I should have been called, the tech had jury duty, they did not have my number or address on file, etc. Bottom line - they did not keep their end of the service they offered. I made one last appointment for an exact time of which a second technician arrived promptly and evaluated the situation. I have asked the office staff twice to have Mr Fields, owner, call me but to date ,he never has.

Description of Work: I signed up for an annual pest control contract with them on 8/18/10 and then I had them out recently on 8/15/11 to do some work. This should have been covered in my quarterly service. They tried charging me an additional $60 because they said my contract expired. I signed up on 8/18/10 so my contract should be good through 8/18/11. They said that the contract states that all annual contracts end on the 1st of the month. However, I never received a contract. I don't think I should have to pay for this service since I already paid for an annual svc contract. If I had a contract and was aware that it ended at that time, I would have had them out in July.

Description of Work: The estimator came to see me and gave me an estimate for the job. Told me the trapper would be back in two days. Not so. I had told the estimator I would not be at home when they came, since the work is an outdoor job. He said he would talk to the trapper himself. Received voice mail from the second man (trapper) that I wasn't home. Duh! Got a call from some female Monday Labor day morning, telling me the trapper will be here from 3-5 PM. Again, no show. Have received voice mails from the trapper again. I am obviously NOT going to be using these idiots who don't seem to communicate with each other. My credit card HAS BEEN for this NON-SERVICE. These clowns should NOT be in business. Made mistake of giving out my credit card number to the estimator.

Description of Work: We signed up for a contract with Affordable Pest. Our specialist's name is Emanuel. The specialist arrived on time and was amazing. He answered all of my questions and looked through my home very carefully. He advised me on what I needed to have done to my home. He was awesome! He was also very professional. He set up the contract as well as sprayed my home and setup traps as well. He setup a 2 week appt to come back again to make sure the problems have resolved. It was around 100.00, but the total amount we will pay after the year is over is 400.00. This covers four routine visits as well as if I have a problem during the year they will come out for free to handle it. Emanuel was so knowledgeable about bugs/pests and how to fix the problem!! I highly recommend them to anyone and especially EMANUEL!!!! U can't go wrong with him!!

Description of Work: I called Affordable Pest service to get a quote for mice extermination and stink bug removal. The intial visit was free. The technician was prompt and responsive. I got the yearly service which will take care of follow-ups and any other problems that may arise.

Description of Work: Company failed to keep appointment. I rescheduled meetings, conference calls to take the afternoon off so I could be here for the technician. After waiting the 2-hour arrival window, I called to check the technician's ETA and was told he was out sick. The representative falsely claimed that messages were left at both my work and home telephone numbers. NO MESSAGES WERE LEFT AT EITHER NUMBER. I am furious and will NEVER use them.
