Zerbe's Moving & Delivery

This was the fifth time we've used Zerbe's for a move and, as always, it was a great experience! We needed to set up a move for our mother from Fredericksburg to Springfield on short notice for the day after Thanksgiving. We got a swift confirmation that Zerbe's could accomodate our timeline. We requested a 9:00 am start time and the crew arrived on the dot! They really hustled and had the truck loaded and on the road in less than an hour, even though it was from a second floor apartment. The same hustle continued on the deliery side, again to a second floor apartment. Including drive time north on I95, the entire move took less than two and a half hours. The crew was very professional and courteous. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would, Zerbe's is the BEST!

Very poor service. Packed furniture directly on the truck without wrapping and were iritated when I asked about it. Drove between places (40 minutes drive) and they showed up 20 minutes later because they stopped. When it came time for payment, were ****** I challenged the 1 hour drive (vice 40 minutes that it took me and said on the GPS (which I took a screen shot of when we left)) - because it was a $75 difference. WIthin 10 minutes of leaving, I noticed they left the portable bar in the kitchen behind the island (instead of moving to the fourth floor like it was labeled), along with a few other heavy items. They opened every door and window because they were hot (without asking) and left them all open when they left. When I asked when they would be back to move the things they didn't bring all the way up (within 10 minutes which meant they were not even to the highway yet), I was told they would only come back if I paid for another hour. (to fix their mistake?) When I mentioned the large tip I gave the the guy that he didn't complain about, I was called a liar because the guy said I never game them anything. Owner said it was my fault for not doing a walk through with them before I left. (If that is there position and they are the professionals, why didn't they tell me they want/need to do a walk through?) They were in a hurry to leave (obviously since they stopped to pick up a 5th person to help move) and said I rushed them. Not sure how I rushed them when anytime they even had a question, they had to come find me. Owner said they needed a 5th person for safety reasons since it was a 4-story townhouse - which he knew about when I booked. That is the reason he changed from sending a 2-man crew to a 4-man crew. No apology for their mistake at all - just blame the customer... Not an honest company and a disgrace to veterans.

Move went well. The team showed up on time and completed the work quickly, taking only a very short break for lunch. Everyone was patient and courteous and took care to ensure everything that should be protected was protected during transport. Recommended.

The company was amazing. They showed up exactly when they said they would with 5 guys who were amazing. The guys brought paddings, plastic wrap, and other types of protective material. They collected everything I needed moved and when we arrived to the new place put everything away exactly where I wanted it. The owner and his crew were very nice and a pleasure to work with.

They were super to work with, everything was as quoted by Scott and all of the guys were very pleasant too. Scott was very accommodating with scheduling - thank you again for your help. All around great experience - I can't say enough good things about this experience.

Great! They were very careful and professional.

First of all, Scott stayed in contact with us since we first made the appointment. Moving day arrived and they showed up right when they said they would. I was expecting 3 maybe 4 movers to show up, but nooooo an entire crew of seven or eight people arrived to help us move, everyone of them friendly and professional. The move itself went extremely smooth. They used pads or mats to protect floors and walls of both houses and had us packed in under two hours. This is even more impressive as they couldn't get one of the trucks up our Aquia Harbor driveway, (they hand carried everything down to the road.) delivery was even smoother. After all was said and done, we felt almost like we cheated him with the amount we were charged.

Zerbe's is great! They were very prompt, very careful, very nice. Nothing was damaged and the job was completed sooner than the estimate. I don't remember what it cost except that it was very reasonable. Our only regret was that we didn't have them move all our stuff (we moved our boxes ourselves). Since using Zerbe's we have recommended them to several friends for moving. They have all like them as much as we did.

Very caring of the furniture, even noted a small crack in glass shelf before packaging it. Once everything was unloaded at new house, we had 2 pieces of furniture that were scraped, but this repaired right then and there. The glass shelf that was cracked, broke in a complete different spot and they offered to replace the entire piece. They took apart and put back together furniture as needed to move it. If I ever move again they will be the ones I call. They treat the furniture as if it is their own antiques they are moving. They used a total separate truck just to move items in the shed and a few items in the garage. Great Team, to work with.

From start to finish, Scot Zerbe was absolutely the best. Excellent communications, and gave a very close estimate of what the move would cost based on the information I gave him. He crew was appropriately professional while still being very personable and super friendly. They were careful and efficient and got the job done in about 3 hours. They also made sure that my 90 year old mother was pleased with the furniture and box placement before they left. I definitely plan to hire Zerbe's for my next move, and would highly recommend them.22401

The moving crew was punctual, courteous, and accommodating. They would have set up our entire house had we known where we wanted things, as it was they set up our bedroom furniture where we wanted it. Nothing was broken or damaged. They had some supplies like tape (which we ran out of the day of the move with a couple boxes left to close), and wardrobe boxes.

Everything went exceptionally well. Nothing was broken. The workers were friendly and worked dilligently. They arrived on time, assessed what needed to be done and began loadling immediately. The time estimated for the move was slightly off - underestimated, but still worked out well. I have already referred Zerbes Delivery to a friend who anticipates a move within the next few months.

It was a very positive experience. The final cost was less than estimated, probably because we had packed much ourselves and all Zerbe's had to do was move the items. It's not often that a job is below the estimate.

I called Scott and gave him a description of the furniture we were moving. His crew arrived right on time. They worked quickly but very carefully. They wrapped all our furniture to protect it from damage. Everything was moved out of our old house and into our new house in less than 5 hours. The crew was extremely nice.

I used Scott in 2010 and I found him to be a responible and honest businessman and I highly recommend his services. I offered Mr. Zerbe to bring all of the boxes to his garage, go through the items, take what he and his wife wanted, and then donate the balance to anyone he wished to donate it to. He did make mention of all the beautiful platters that I had included. The donation site made 1500.00 on the items I donated to them, so Scott was an honest man who did not detour from my request. Hats off to Scott Zerbe, a man of integrety and honest bussinesman. If I ever need a mover again I would only contact him because he is an honest man.

I have a great deal of stuff and nothing was broken or scratched. They were all professional and very hard workers.

He is great. What I like about him is most moving companies, if you call them and you just want a little job like a bunch of stuff moved upstairs, they charge you a 3 hour minimum. I can call him on a day, he will send them over, they don't charge us the 3 hours minimum, whatever it is you need moved, they move and they just give you a flat charge. He sent me two guys, they moved a ton of boxes, all kinds of heavy stuff and they just went up and down. They are just fantastic. Even the guys doing the construction on the basement were shaking their heads. They were like: "Good God this guys are unbelievable." They are just the nicest people, they were really cool. They are so polite, they listen, they do exactly what they are there to do.

I just lost my home to forclosuer so money was tight. I broke my heart to have to leave my home and the unprofessional movers only added to the stress. I am still finding items in boxes broken, furniture scratched, and metal pieces dented. When I called Scott about a mahogany table that was loaded with metal lawn furniture on top, causing massive scratches, he refused to take responsibility. I highly recommend against this company. They will tell you what they think you want to hear, but will not back up what they have told you. A move is stressful enough without this added pressure.

It went absolutely flawless! Everything that Scott moved was in perfect condition and done with great care and concern!
