Taft Roofing

The Roofing and Siding were fine. They finished on a Friday and the owner was there Monday for his final payment. They forgot to caulk around the railing and the owner said they would powerwash our house to get the dirt off. That was over a month ago and we are still waiting. We had a friend want new siding we told her about the problems with Taft and she called someone else.

I got several bids for a leaking porch roof. Some said the roof needed replacement. Some said the siding needed replacement. Taft said it needed both. I didn't want to play this game, so I went with both. Got the job done, the leaking got worse. Taft sent a guy out and he hammer in a few nails. Still leaking. Owner (Mark Hoskins) came out and found :"a mistake" the installers made. He supposedly fixed it. Still leaking. Taft was double my next bid - which would be fine if the job was done right. Now I don't know if I have to hire someone to fix what he did to my roof, or fix what he did to my siding

I cannot provide enough accolades about Taft Roofing's entire team. They were professional, punctual, hard working, and best of all, experts at their craft. Our home is 120 years old and there is no other like it and so they designed a beautiful custom design for the metal roofing. It's gorgeous and it fitting for our historic home.

It went well except that bad weather dragged the job out. Not contractor's fault although communications could have been a bit better on this point. All in all I am pleased with how this job went and with the appearance of the roof.

Taft gave a good proposal the day after I called. They left a nice sample of available shingles. They quickly replied to all of my questions. They kept in touch and kept me informed of developments on a regular basis. They made all the changes I requested. Very easy to work with. A patriotic company that gives a military discount.

Mr. Hoskins was responsive to questions. We had damage from March storm, I called 7 roofers and most companies wouldn’t call or come out. He came out, brought samples and answered questions I emailed him. I highly recommend this company.

After a small timing issue in getting started, the job was done in two days. A crew of about six was onsite both days and were very professional. Two weeks after the job we had a small leak and called Taft - Two men came out immediately and found/fixed the problem to our satisfaction. I gave them a lower grade on punctuality because it took a while to get started and we had some communication issues before the work began. The price was high but not the highest quote we got and all together we are satisfied that we got our moneys worth.
