They were extremely reliable despite the fact that we changed a few things along the way. They were always able to accommodate us. They gave us a quote and stuck to it. When we changed things the changes weren't expensive.

My experience with him was good. He came out on time and the quality of the work was excellent. I thought that the price was reasonable. I would recommend him and use him again.

He called to say he was on his way. The garbage disposal that I had was broken. It was original to the house and he had a little trouble getting it out. It was an off-brand and installed tightly. He had asked what kind I wanted before purchasing the new one. He was polite, professional and neat. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. Then he removed an original light fixture in the kitchen and installed the new one I had bought. He had all of the needed tools.

Great! Bob returned our calls promptly and came out in person to do an estimate. He scheduled the work on his next available day. Bob and Carolyn came out on the scheduled day and completed all of the work except the deck sealing, since the deck needed to dry after they cleaned it. The next day, they came back and sealed the deck. They are very friendly and personable, and they do thorough and high quality work. Our deck has never looked so good! Even our three year old son liked "Bob the Builder!" We are so pleased with their service that we plan to call them for future home repair and maintenance jobs, and will certainly recommend them to friends. Thank you Bob and Carolyn!

He had a wide range of expertise in electrical, plumbing and carpentry. He hired another person to work for him about 2/3 of the way through the job and his work was not quite up to par. Anything Bob Birch or his wife did was good, the 3rd guy not so much.

Bob came to my townhome to look at the areas of requested repair/service and wrote a list of the above requested tasks and assign an estimate for labor because I would provide the items for replacement door chimes, light, etc. The original estimate was $260.00 but it went over $20 for extra piping and aluminum tape. Bob did mention he would have to modify the pipe vent with an elbow to extend and fit it to the aperture. I requested a specific date May 08, 2008 and we agreed on a time for arrival. Bob and Carolyn arrived on time and set to work. They are a dynamic team because they each took on items from the list to accomplish independently and efficiently. They are courteous, friendly and approachable about any concerns about home repair or rehab. I plan on have them back to take on larger tasks - patio door replacement and fence repair, etc.

I called Bob for an estimate and although he was booked for the next month, he squeezed us into his schedule a few days later due to the simplicity of our job. He was punctual and friendly. The quality of his work is excellent and he beat competitor prices due to the high number of fixtures we had replaced. We highly recommend his services.

Bob brings a lot of skill and just plain practical common sense in handling a variety of repairs. Everything was done, timely, professionally, and at a reasonable price. He even looked into a plumbing issue that has befuddled professional plumbers for over a year, at no cost, and came up with some practical and reasonable advise on how to best move forward. Great service at a reasonable price. Nice people too. Couldn't ask for more.

Rapidly returned my initial calls that day. Came out to the house that week to give me an estimate on the work. Started the job the next week on the day we agreed. Great communicator. Always professional and courteous. Always cleaned up at the end of the day. Very meticulous and ensured the job was correct the first time. I have dealt with a lot of contractors and hate it more than buying a car. If they were all like Bob and Linda, I wouldn't hesitate to hire more. The price was reasonable and I didn't have to pay until the job was 100% complete. I highly recommend Bob and I will be seeking his help again soon!

I called on a Thursday and we played phone tag until Monday of the following week, and he came by and hour earlier than expected. He walked with me around the house and I showed him the areas I needed done, on the door he found one area I didn't see. He gave options that seemed to be quickie fixes for the sill like caulking the rotten area of the sill or cutting away the front half and replacing it half way and attaching a board from the center out. I paid $25.00 for an estimate, and I got an estimate. Because of the estimate I decided not to do the work with this company.

These guys are great and I will continue to use them because they work well and know what they are doing. I would recommend them to others because I trust in the quality of their work and their prices aren't that high.

The original gable vent was an odd size and it's collar had been installed underneath the aluminum siding. I had called many other handymen and roofing companies and was told it would be a very expensive job because the siding would have to be removed to install the new vent. Bob thought outside the box and was surface mounted the new vent which still looks fine.

He answered all phone calls promptly, provided a reasonable estimate, showed up on time and performed the work. I would definitely use him again.

Called to get a visit and an estimate. The owner said he had no time until August to visit. But he could come over for $25 fee.

It was a very disappointing experience. We contacted them based on so many favorable reviews and even though we pretty much committed with another contractor, we were anxiously waiting to meet with them in the hopes we would give them our work. While they may very well be doing good enough work to garner these reports we would not consider hiring them on many levels. The most important reason we decided to report this experience after we initially thought we'd not, was we felt absolutely "taken" by their estimate request at the end of the ever so quick time spent in our home. So make sure you get informed upfront. Professionalism is key in trusting a contractor. I guess we were better off getting duped over $25 than much more in the end.

Bob came to my house the same day I called to give me an estimate. He was accurate and professional in telling me what would be needed time and materials-wise to get the job done. Bob and his wife arrived when they said they would on the day of the job. They cleaned up their materials when they were done and I was pleased with the quality of their work. Unfortunately, it started to rain, making the deck work impossible, but Bob and Carolyn rescheduled within the next week. I really appreciated the service and the advice they gave me in my process of getting my home ready to sell.

Bob and Carolyn are a great team. The estimate we received from them was prompt and thorough. It took about a month for them to fit us into their busy schedule, and we understand why they were busy! They showed up on time on the designated day, did everything they said they would do quickly and well, and cleaned up completely afterwords. Outstanding results at a very fair/competitive price. They even suggested a different way to do one of our floors that ended up saving us money and looking great. We can't say enough good things about them.

I liked Bob Birch and wife Carolyn (who helps him) very much. I liked their interaction with each other, and they gave me a reasonable estimate to remodel downstairs bath. I had some question whether they could do the WHOLE job but would have agreed for them to do the parts they could for the price quoted. We had a slight misunderstanding about a start date. Then they became loaded with other work and could not get to my project for several months. Ultimately I had to get someone else. I would call Bob and Carolyn again, though.

He primed and painted the replacement piece and did a decent job of matching it to the rest of the trim. I was not able to see defect until I looked with binoculars.

He was on time and very nice, but there were problems with the work. The ceiling in the living room was done poorly and needs redone. I feel that he should have told me up front that he wasn't able to do the work to my expectations before taking the job, but he assured me he could do it all. It seemed like he was cutting corners and skipping over things quite a bit. They wrote everything down in our initial meeting, but I still had to remind him of things on that list. Some of the drywall patch work needs to be redone because it is cracking. He did call to let me know he intends to come back, but nothing is resolved yet. Since i filed the initial report above, they have called and left a message telling me that my report isn't nice and that they want to come out to do the work right away. Now, I don't feel comfortable having them back after the message they left me. I'm being honest in my report and i don't feel they should tell me that my report isn't nice, it is the truth.

The project went as planned and was completed in a professional manner and lightly earlier than expected. Bob and his crew were very courteous and cleaned the site/hauled away the debris as the work went on.
