Description of Work: Let me preface this by saying I am not generally one to write a negative review. I didn't go out of my way to do this; angie's list emailed me asking to provide a review for the service now one year after the service was completed. Had I not received this email, this would not have surfaced. But, since I have been asked for my opinion, here it is! | |That said, I was very dissatisfied with the service. We had just moved into our new home and we had a problem with our breaker box that sparked while we had painters at our home painting before we moved in. The electrician who came was very punctual, arriving within 10 minutes of the time that was estimated, however, he did everything he could to make this not covered by the home warranty we had. In fact, he went so far as to tell the home warranty that it was "shotty worksmanship" that caused the problem. This resulted in my warranty rejecting the claim...at first. We actually paid extra for our home warranty to receive additional coverage, but that information had yet to reach the system. He told me that it wasn't covered, and that it would take him "about 2 hours to complete the work." When I called the warranty company to get it straightened out, they realized they were wrong and said they would cover the charge. He got back on the phone with them, more or less trying to find a way that this wouldn't be covered, expressing several times different problems that would likely not be covered by a lower tier warranty. Miraculously, once he realized almost everything is covered with my warranty, he began the work and was finished in just over 25 minutes. Amazing how that extra time was cut off once I wasn't the one paying for it!! | |Aside from other minor things like leaving grease stains on the walls and throwing wires he had cut down in our boxes of clothes that had yet to be unpacked, I was completely dissatisfied with the service if for nothing more than the attempt at deceit of the insurance company. He clearly knew what was generally covered by these warranties, and did everything in his power to make sure that he could overcharge me for the service he was providing. Would not use again, ever!

Description of Work: ran a new circuit for microwave and corrected some double tapped circuits.
