 + -1 moreFirst rate job from initial call to completed project. He came all the way from Fredricksburg area to Gainesville to quote the job. I called other vendors on Angies List and most of the paving companies, despite advertising seal coating and crack repair immediately said they would not bother with the job. Because it was a relatively large job, Shawn agreed to do the work and scheduled it for a few days later. Large 13,200 ft driveway (5 years old) had not been seal coated in three years. Shawn was exceptionally helpful in explaining not only what was necessary to do the job - especially the cracks, but also the professional "extras" that make a difference in the quality of the job. His crew edged the entire driveway, removed dust, dirt debris to prepare the surface, used squeegees in very delicate areas and a spray boom for the main part of the driveway.(much, much more effective than the previous Collegiate Sealers that used a squeegee everywhere). Shawn even repaired a small area near a downspout that had eroded with excess water. This was never mentioned during the estimate, but he did it anyway and at no charge. The finished driveway looks spectacular and will help avoid more costly repairs down the road. I highly recommend Shawn.

I had received estimates from two other companies so had an idea of what things to ask and Shaun's answers were spot-on as we talked. He came out to visit the site a couple of days later and told me exactly what he would do which included cleaning the driveway, trimming the grass on the edge, applying the sealant beyond the edge of the driveway and assured me that he would be careful not to get it on the wood steps that are bordering part of the driveway. The work was performed while I was out of town and when I came home it looked wonderful. Overall, I felt that the price, quality, and service were just what I wanted and I would definitely use this business again.

We are fortunate to have All Weather Seal Coating, Inc. in our area and Shawn as its owner/president. I'll be recommending him to everyone in our Leavells Crossing neighborhood, and I'll be utilizing his services in a year or two.
Description of Work: Shawn responded to my call right away and came to my home in Spotsylvania County that afternoon to give me a price on sealing my driveway. After inspecting the surface, he said the driveway is in excellent shape and would not need to be sealed again for another year or two. I've been doing it myself every year using sealant from one of the box stores, but Shawn is able to do the sealing for almost the same price I've been paying annually for just materials. He said to contact him in a year or two, when the driveway needs to be sealed again, and he would be glad to do the job. I appreciated his expert opinion and his honesty. He said that annual treatments generally are not needed, but I just need to seal a few cracks that have developed, and he gave me advice on how to do that. I'll definitely contact Shawn in a year or two to do the sealing for me at that time.

 + -1 moreI called and left a message because I wanted to get an estimate. I received a call back from the owner Shawn Dautant and came by the very next day. I have major gator crack issues in 2 different areas. He told me right away the he could fix it so it would last through the winter. I told him I just really wanted to get through the winter without the driveway falling apart. He said no problem. He said that he will have to use a primer on quite a few areas where I have a lot of major oil stains. He said that after seal coating he hopes that it will last me 2 years but it's not guaranteed. I said I'm ok with that. Shawn showed up himself and with 2 helpers. They we're right on time at 8:30a.m. It took them right around 2.5 hours. I spoke to Shawn the next day and he said he stopped by to check on how the driveway was looking. He said that he's very pleased with the way it looks. He said that he ended up using some cold patch in one of the gator cracks and pretty much explained everything he did in detail. He also gave me some great tips! I highly recommend Shawn and All Weather Seal Coating. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable. You can tell by just talking with him that he really cares about what he does. Everything went very smooth. Great work and great customer service!

 + -1 moreGreat job. I would call Shawn a "perfectionist", and he did a perfect job. I had an estimate from someone else. Same price, poorer ratings, and only had basic supplies. The other bidder said I would also need to seal it again next spring. After All Weather finished, not only did he guarantee his work, but said I wouldn't need sealed again for a few years. And he has all the right equipment for small or large jobs. Do yourself a favor and don't call anyone but Shawn with All Weather Sealcoating.

Driveway approx 14 years old in poor shape to say the least, but Shawn assured me that he could bring it back to life, he did exactly what he said. The driveway looks new and the cracks were filled well. The best job we have ever had on our driveway. Also, it was clean- no tar residue in the grass or mess left anywhere. We will use them again for sure when we need the driveway done.

Responsiveness, punctuality, customer service/keeping customer informed of any date changes/arrival time, above average quality of coating and work application, professionalism - all excellent. Yes, the price charged is higher perhaps than some others, but I don't think you can beat the overall value. Highly recommend.

 + -1 moreWhat a great job he did. We've used "All Weather" before. Shawn did such a good job, we came back to him again. There are companies who will do it cheaper, but not with the quality and customer service Shawn provides. Shawn repaired cracks, filled in depressions and was careful with the edging by the garage. Our driveway is is over 5500 sf, so it's not a small job. You can't go wrong.

 + -1 moreI initially contacted shawn based upon Angie's list reviews to give me an estimate on sealcoating my driveway. Shawn called me and scheduled a time to come by and give me an estimate. We had him power wash the driveway. He then waited a week for it to dry thoroughly and was scheduled to come by and sealcoat the following Monday, however he called me on Saturday night and requested if he could come out on Sunday to do the sealcoat because the weather was calling for rain on Monday. He came out on Sunday and did a wonderful job sealcoating our driveway. He did the entire job by himself. I was very pleased with his professionalism, and workmanship. He wanted to make sure I was pleased with his work as well! We will contact him again when we need our driveway seal coated.

 + -1 moreSolicited several sealcoating vendors and received about 3-4 quotes. I requested a quote for just the sealcoating (I was going to seal the cracks myself). I re-contacted several vendors to also include the sealing of the cracks. Shawn came out on Memorial Day to look at the driveway and provide a quote. He gave an honest evaluation of our driveway and provided literature about the product he uses. About a week later I contacted him to perform the work and he scheduled it for the next day. When I came home after he performed the work I was pleasantly surprised. He did an excellent job and it looked great. I did notice a few spots that were thin where my old sealant showed through. I contact Shawn back and advised him of the same. He came out the next day and resealed the ENTIRE driveway. I didn't think it was necessary, but It now looks even better!!! It was well worth the money to not have to deal with the hassle of sealing the driveway myself. I will definitely use him again, and refer my neighbors!

 + -1 moreCalled contractor based on Angie's and BBB ratings. Spoke with owner who agreed to come out and give me an estimate. Showed up on time, expalined his process, did a thorough measurement and gave me a quote in writing. He agreed to do the job the following Monday.Showed up when he said he would. Brought a 2-man crew and completed the job exactly as he had described. Did an extra heavy coat on some areas that were in less than perfect shape. Worked around stone and timber edging, applied material by hand out 4 feet to ensure no overspray. Job is pristine. Finished in less than 2 hours, cleaned up completely. I have dealt with this category of contractor before and this is head and shoulders above them.
Description of Work: Prepare and seal coat our 600 sq. ft driveway and parking area. Last sealing was three years ago and several areas needed extra work. Edging requires extra care to avoid overspray.

Description of Work: My asphalt driveway is 12 years old. I had had it seal-coated it 3 or 4 times in the past by companies around 25 to 35 miles away in northern VA who annually leave ads in mailboxes advertising $70-80 for a seal coating for the size of my driveway. In hindsight perhaps I should have had it coated annually. The price was cheap, but I was never really satisfied with the thin coatings, which didn't last long, too soon started to show cracks, wear, etc. Because of this, I finally decided to try out All Weather, a local business, after checking with BBB (A+ rating, etc), its descriptive website which stressed the quality of its coating, after getting an estimate and talking with the owner Shawn over the phone, and despite the higher price than I was used to. Would it be worth the extra money? Due apparently to how the scheduling worked out, the owner himself came out. In sum to date I am very satisfied with the coating, attention and workmanship my driveway received, and believe it may indeed turn out to be well worth the extra money (its only been a week). Shawn spent over 45 minutes applying the seal coat, in contrast to the normal 15-20 minutes of previous seal-coaters. I had many hairline cracks and a couple of wider ones - Shawn took care to fill them in, especially the latter, which made me especially happy. The coating appears to be thicker and of better quality than previous coatings received, and dries to a nice-looking, uniform matte finish. I also liked the fact that Shawn took the time to sell/explain the quality of his coating, how it differed from others, etc. He also stressed that he was not far away and to call him if I was not satisfied in any way (or for any driveway maintenance/repair questions) - he would do everything possible to make things right. To wrap up - as of this date, I definitely recommend giving All Weather a try for those looking for a high-quality, longer-lasting seal coating.
