I am writing this letter to thank Mr. Darryl Myers of Abilities Unlimited for the superb job he did building our three car garage. After many years of procrastinating about building a garage, we finalized our plans and settled on a three car oversized design. All that was left was finding a contractor to build our dream. My husband went to Angie’s list and found Mr. Darryl Myers of Abilities Unlimited. He came to our home, sat and talked with us to determine what our wants and needs would be for the garage. He and my husband then went outside and took measurements. A short time later he came back to our home with plans drawn up that exceeded our expectations and with a price that didn’t “break the bank.” Wanting to assure we were getting the best contractor at the best price we did our due diligence and had additional contractors come out and provide us quotes. Abilities Unlimited was the only contactor that gave us what we asked for. It seems everyone else wanted to tell us what they wanted to build instead of designing what we wanted to have built. Darryl is and was the utmost professional at all times during the process of the build. He submitted permits and fees to the county and reached out to us to let us know that he was only waiting for permits to be approved. Once approved everything moved forward as Darryl told us it would. He was excellent at managing our expectations and we never felt that we were not getting what we paid for. Today we have our dream garage courtesy of Abilities Unlimited; numerous people have stopped by our home to ask us who built our garage and we have handed out the business cards he left with us and provided them our highest recommendation for Abilities Unlimited. Outstanding work. First, can't say enough nice things about these folks. The owner was honest and upfront about our expectations. He explained several different options and provided us with a quote for the different options. When the project was completed, we were impressed with the quality of their work. Everything was done the right the first time and exceeded our expectations. Abilities Unlimited came recommended from several neighbors who had used them in the past. I'm glad we selected Abilities UL for our upgrades and give them my strongest recommendation! I will be using them again (if we can get on their busy schedule).

The service went very well. The staff and crews were all very professional and accommodating. They allowed up to make changes along the way. They worked with our schedule very nicely. They are very trustworthy and great at cleaning up after each project we had them do. They were very responsive through email and sent us pictures as needed. They gave appropriate time lines as far as getting back with details on the job. I had no problem at all scheduling the projects with them.

I was happy with them. I'm still deciding about which bid to go with. They had the higher bid but seem talented.

Excellent. Darryl is the ultimate pro and is super easy to work with. He gives great advice with suggestions that we had never thought of. He worked around our vacation and other schedules. Our basement looks awesome and we have gotten lots of compliments. We got 3 estimates and Abilities Unlimited was the middle one in terms of price but what sold us was Darryl's ideas and suggestions plus a friend had had her salon finished by Abilities Unlimited and strongly recommended them. My in-laws had wanted to go with Darryl for their basement and thought he was the best but they went with a low ball contractor and regretted it. All of the subcontractors work exclusively with Darryl so things go smoothly. They kept the job site clean which was important to me because I am very picky. I strongly recommend Abilities Unlimited for any remodeling.

We had him visit the site and we explained the work that needed to be done, what we were looking for in certain areas like trimming some of the tress and asked him to send us a quote. He quoted us $18500. My overall impressions of the company are very favorable.

We wanted to make some changes to our kitchen without going through a complete new kitchen renovation since our counters, appliances and floors were all pretty up to date. It went great. We met with Darryl a few times to go over what exactly we wanted done and he explained how it would go. Darryl was very professional and everything went smoothly. Any problems that arose he explained what all of our options were to remedy and move forward. It was a wonderful experience and we love our kitchen. We will use abilities unlimited again the next time we decide to get something done.

The work completed by Abilities Unlimited (which was really in our case Daryl) was exceptional. After observing his first two days of work it was clear we had selected the right person for our project. His attention to detail was obvious throughout the project. The deck is sturdy with extra deep footers and he didn't cut corners on quality of materials used in the construction. I would highly recommend giving Daryl a chance to bid your next project. Based on our experience, I do not think you would be disappointed.

The work of Abilities Unlimited was exceptional. The motto of this company is "Perfection is our Standard". From the initial building of the framing to hold up the deck, it was essential to Darryl that everything be squared up perfectly. Attention to detail was what we saw. The porch is sturdy and he didn't cut corners on quality of materials used in the construction. He hand-selected the wood to insure that it was straight. Even the fasteners (nails, screws, etc.) had to meet Darryl's discriminating standard. Had to be double hot dipped zinc coated (not single hot dipped electroplated) for example. Everything was done with quality in mind. All of the 4 x 4s above the support structure were wrapped with aluminum. This was well done. He removed and replaced the section of the original siding which is inside the porch area. The new siding matches extremely well both in color and siding shape (the original siding-no longer made-is almost 30 years old). The EZ Breeze system windows move smoothly up and down in their tracks because all corners are square. There is an exit door that opens and closes smoothly. The hand railing on the steps is sturdy and attractive. Options inside the porch for railing varied as the project moved along. I didn't want the bulky vinyl railing. We considered horizontal wire railing, but ended up with vertical metal railing. The elements of the deck itself are white; the railing is black and is quite attractive. Under the porch he put support framing which shows from the outside. Even in this detail, Darryl wanted it to look nice so he beveled the edges of the supports. The people who did additional work-the electrician and roofer-were quality workers as well. Darryl has worked with people through the years who have proven their ability to do excellent work. He works with these people as needed for the project. In our case, we were very pleased that he had these contacts and they were able to do the necessary work and do it well. Because of the southern exposure of this deck we have used this room regularly this fall. The sun's warmth that is trapped in the room by the windows has made it comfortable enough for eating outside even in colder weather. Darryl kept us informed every step of the way of what was coming next, when he would be there and what he would do. He had a payment schedule so that we could pay as work was completed. Everything went smoothly. He kept his word. We would hire Abilities Unlimited for additional work. We love our new porch!

.The overall experience was fantastic. We had a few disagreements, but were able to work things out. This was the first time that we've had a house built, and to be frank, I was concerned about the process. It's interesting how people feel the need to tell you all their horrible experiences when they find out you're building a house! In this case, though, my wife and I were able to sleep very well at night, because we had complete trust in Darryl. We are extremely pleased with the results and couldn't be happier.

Mr. Darryl Myers was a professional through and through. He actually visited us twice to examine the underside of the deck, provided us with details of what would be entailed, and patiently took his time with us to answer any and all questions. He definitely knows his stuff but does not come off as a know it all. He was polite, respectful, patient, a thorough gentleman, as well as a top-knotch professional in the work he performed for us. Plus, his price was much better than the verbal quotes I received from the other two vendors. He provided us with a contract outlining the work to be completed, a payment schedule, and a final walk through to examine all the work. The work was completed in about a week. He also has pictures of the work he has performed for the type of construction you may be requesting that he keeps on a laptop. This is very helpful to actually see the realm of the possible. Plus, he pointed us to addresses of where he has performed work in order to review his handicraft. I am extremely pleased with Mr. Myers work and have no hesitation in recommending him for any work you may need for your home. We have some other areas we are investigating to have work done in and around our home, and he would be the first one I would contact to have this work performed, no questions asked!

Abilities Unlimited did exactly what was proposed and completed the job on time and within budget. We had some unexpected things come such as my wife changing her mind on appliances at the last minute but Mr. Myers accomodated us and adjusted the plans accordingly. Great man to work with.

Abilities Unlimited is the correct name for this company. This company can do anything. They do first class work and take significant pride in what they do. They provided us with options for our new multi-level deck, with competitive prices for us to select from. They managed the entire project and completed the work on budget and on schedule. The multi-level deck has added much more value to our home than the cost of the work. On the ice damage repair work, I was leaving town for a vacation and they handled everything from meeting with the insurance company and making the repairs. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing everything would be taken care of. We have used this contractor on several projects at our home and they will be the first and only we call in the future. You could not select a better more qualified contractor. I highly recommend them!
